Do NOT hunt a ton of perfect game before you try and find the high stakes treasure. I had a massive pile of pelts for the trapper on my horse and I slid off the cliff. Create a save point if anything. Thanks for the video man, I’ve been running around trying to find this treasure for days.
I had 3 perfect deer pelts plus a beaver for the legend satchel and i died. it took me probably 2 hours to find those 4 deer pelts i needed. Even tho i have the buck trinket.
Ty so much. I did everything up to 6 minutes step by step then stopped lol. Got $5000 from it which is more than enough for now and got my explorer challenges done

you can only get it as arthur I believe because in the mine sketch is written “Brothers, i’ll be poor no more” which shows that the miner already found the treasure if you go to it as John
I dont think so. It's worth checking the fence, sometimes missed maps are sold there. But if you actually finished that encounter but chose not to take the map off the treasure hunter, I dont think that counts as missing the map.

If you get all the treasures you get around 16,550 dollers or somting, I say it’s worth it
I find setting up camp the best way to get down from the mountain climbing cul-de-sacs.
First thing to buy with fenced gold bars is fast travel. It’s a must! Trust me.

You don’t have to kill them. Just climb onto something and either wait for them to leave or shoot around them.

Sadly that's the only location i know of where he spawns, I'm sure you can find another video that goes over all the potential spawn locations
It's a sort of random encounter, go somewhere far, come back and he might spawn. If he doesn't, just repeat
