I wish I could be there as a leader of some kind… buuuut my ‘leading’ is more just like “hey what’s everyone think of this? Oh, you think that instead? Cool, let’s write it down!” And then we never actually get anywhere past that lol. Their leading is almost enviable to me

Yeah, us P types have it a little different for sure. Good insight, thanks!

You may be more a leader than you realize. P types make good leaders for more of inspirational matters, rather than the type of "inspiration" that an ENTJ would inspire.

That's super good way to put it

I just think that J types are better for work and P types better for fun. And actually there is some types of job where being fun is super important when your whole business revolves around it so P types definitely have their place somewhere.
J types are just more bossy I guess.
I have a personal theory on ENTJ vs ENFJ leadership and I think they make the best leaders for their visionary skills.
I think ENTJs are the leaders who will impose their leadership either because of their skill or determination when ENFJs are the leaders who won't impose themselves directly but will be designated by their co-workers as their leader.
If I had to resume it, I would say ENTJs tend to be leaders out of necessity when ENFJs will be leaders out of desire.
This theory actually came to me by watching the movie _The Call of the Wild_ where you have a dog pack recruted to pull sleds (don't ask why). A very experimented but dominant dog is integrated into the group at some point but he's too rude. Another capable dog admired by the group ends up confronting him at some point for being too agressive in order to defend others, not to directly take the lead. But the dog group ends up electing him as their leader because they judge him as capable and deserving.
By the way, if someone ever wondered how INFJs come with surprising insights sometimes, that's one of the ways we do it, by transposing a fictitious situation to reality to better understand it. For INFJs fiction isn't just for pleasure but can reveal things about our real world so we do active watching when it comes to media. It's a Ni-Se interaction that makes our speech relevant.
Obviously that's just a general theory of things that doesn't take the case by case into consideration. Like it's probably possible to have a friendlier relationship with your ENTJ boss or have a colder ENFJ boss but you get the idea.

By the way, as an INFJ that makes me blush a bit, not used to be in the spotlight and being seen in such high esteem. Just like INTPs I don't think we really know how to take compliments.
I know MANY tend to say INTJs and INFJs can make great leaders but...I don't know. It's just too much pressure for our shoulders to know many count on us I think and we don't really deal that great with responsibilities. It takes a lot of energy we don't have because Extroverted Sensing is so low. That's why I think ENFJs and ENTJs are better suited for the job. I would easily give it to them.
Funny how we work to be irreplaceable but don't really want the spotlight that goes with it.
I have always seen us better suited for the advisor or assistant role to support the boss because we know they can put our guidance in practice.
Also it's a great way to pull the strings without much repercussions (doesn't mean we do but we would think about this positional advantage) 😉.
