That’s a really nice upgrade. Quite an upgrade and keeps the warranty, and adds cooling to keep up with the added power. 10.52@131 MPH on the street on 93 octane is legit.

the big issue is what actually happens with the warranty: if it is needed, over time, and in a owner-transfer. There is precedence to this, in that Audi had a few companies that also offered a tune w/warranty. When the Tuner went out of business, the insurance policy that acts as a warranty went away as well. Also, when buyers went to sell the tuned cars, they were TD1 flagged and were hard to sell. Lastly, since the warranty is a 3rd party payer, you have 2 groups that have to agree to a repair (BMW is not a party to the agreement).
I sold the car a few months ago and it garnered a lot of interest and brought a strong number due to the fact that it was modded with the Carbahn Stage 2 package and still covered under warranty that with free maintenance that is transferable. If there was an issue that wasn’t covered the third party warranty would cover it. There isn’t another option available that offers the level of support and knowledge that Steve Dinan/Carbahn brings to the table.

You said this still under warranty, it’s the Carbahn warranty not the original BMW warranty right? I just spoke with Carbahn today and they have their warranty available for purchase which covers the engine and drivetrain but I spoke with the BMW dealer and they said the ECU mods voids the BMW warranty.
Yes the car is still under warranty. For example if my iDrive screen went out or if I had a powertrain failure that’s not related to the Carbahn tune BMW’s warranty would be in play. If it was determined the failure was caused by the Carbahn mods or if they decide not to fix a powertrain issue then Carbahn’s warranty would kick in. So effectively the car is still under the original factory warranty by BMW & Carbahn.

Why do BMW guys think that by removing your cats and keeping a full exhaust that you will smell like fuel?
From my experience removing all of the cats on any car will have this effect. From my previous F80 M3 CS to my Gen V Viper they all made you reek of fumes with no cats.
@@carguy302 have to disagree. Like you I have owned many modded vehicles, and when running a full length exhaust system, didn’t experience this issue. Now I have experienced it on a system I had where the exhaust system was short and had dumps on the mufflers under the car. My 2019 CTS-V with 2” long tubes to a full 3” inch exhaust without cats does not have this problem. Kind of hard to smell fumes that exit out of the back of the car 😉
@@BigThumpr1 When your at a stop light or in traffic etc. is when the smell of fumes would make it's way into the car. I agree that if you're driving along its all good. I appreciate you sharing your perspective.
On another note a CTS-V with 2" long tubes and exhaust sounds incredible.
Gave you a thumbs down. Car had only 119 m8le and you're hammering on it. Haven't your heard? 1200 miles break in!?
The car didn’t have 119 miles my man.
You’ve mistaken the miles until empty (119) for the total miles on the car. 😉
I followed the 1200 mile break in service to a T. The dealer would’ve never tuned a car that didn’t have the break in service completed.
Cold start sounds horrible.
It’s not for everyone! 😉
I wish I would have known Daniels BMW were fraudulent they totally ripped me off and ruined my vehicle!
Curious what happened. Can you elaborate what they did?
@@carguy302 I took my car there for state inspection and suspension refreshing gave them 5 grand after 5 weeks I returned and On my way back it didn’t even seem like the same car! Started overheating and alternated light on just before my house so next morning I looked at it and discovered that they never inspected it and swapped out my complete drivetrain from the motor to the rear differential electric ebrake system along with the calipers rotors and active suspension with some hodgepodge of junkyard parts on top of it all they never done the state inspection and I gave 5 grand! I called the next day and they kept saying let’s discuss my concerns which were evidently clear so I said how about discussing a solution well then I was told that they would no longer do business with me! Go figure? Really awesome car till they did that seriously if you could look at it they must have cut the back end off cause it had an access for skis or whatever to go through the trunk now no access! It was a prototype reason I found out is because the sunroof will only slide halfway back due to the foam that was used for for weight reduction so I’m pretty much stuck with a very expensive ashtray and this thing was a cream puff and ran like a jet! Was originally from Canada to be sold as a police cars ended up being purchased by someone through a dealer in New Jersey I got with 70.000 miles and started restoring it and they slammed the door on that! I’m so disgusted I can’t even look at it! Then we got the guys that were involved disguising themselves showing how they are having fun with the parts they stripped off my vehicle! It’s really not cool as far as I’m concerned they had total disregard for anyone else’s safety they actually had wooden brake shoes on it ! It originally had ceramic shoes with huge calipers vented rotors 5 speed auto stick trans inline 6 3.0 liter motor now it has a 4 cylinder motor like wtf is wrong with those people?
