An enormous pride that a Mexican like Narciso Elvira has written his name in gold letters in launching a Sin Hit Ni Carrera in Japan. Although it should be noted that before signing with the Milwaukee Brewers, he made his debut in the Mexican Baseball League with the León Braves in 1986, and he retired with the Minatitlan Petroleros in 2009. And in the Mexican Pacific League he was also successful, playing with Navojoa Mayos, Tijuana Colts and Hermosillo Naranjeros, mainly.
The mention of a pitcher for a team I’ve been a lifelong diehard third generation (at least) fan of, the Cubs, definitely made me chuckle a bit. (Certainly explains my choice of NPB team!)
I met him back in 1991. I waited after a AAA Game at Rosenblatt Stadium for his autograph when he played for the Zephyrs. He signed 3 of my cards and he kept 1.
My paisano Narciso Elvira. Sadly he passed some years ago. A great day by him and he was forgotten in the history of NPB. Great video mate!
Two years ago to the day
@@TheBrainSpecialist yes you are correct. Descanse en paz el paisano
