In May 2016, I was travelling with my mom alone and she had a heart attack in air during CCU to BOM flight of Jet Airways. At that time we lived in Surat and there were no direct flights of CCU to STV. I was badly scared since Bombay was unknown to me at that time. All the crew members helped us out even the airlines sent a crew member to stay with us in the hospital. For this, I will always remain grateful to them!

Thanks for informing people about cabin crew , I m also crew , as a crew we are not just there for service but we are first medical responder , we are fire fighter , we are police for disruptive passages, we are life saver for passengers in case of emergency. We also play with your children and act as play nanny . From bomb to hijack we are there to save life of our passengers .our main goal is safety security of our passengers.

i think during evacuation all the over head baggage section should be locked automatically/by the cabin crew/pilots. And this announcement should be added in the instructions performed by the cabin crew before take off. THANK YOU for reading this comment

Every person deserve respect, if he/she is serving you. we have a example like neerja in cabin crew, she scarificed her life for people.
One of my cousin aunty is a retired cabin crew from 1960s. We have seen how she manages any situation with calmness & poise. Nothing fistracts her from her aim. We should have retired crew membwrs teaching at schools to make our next generation robust.

Neerja bhanot died while saving passengers on flight 73.
You literally changed my views about the cabin crew, coz we know only the layman things and not the actual trainings which the crew goes through. HUGE RESPECT FOR ALL.
I think in case of emergency hand baggage compartments should be locked automatically with the Pilot's control and this has to be be announced before taking off..
then it'll turn into more chaos

Sir, you made me run into tears with this vedio.. when the airbus has to be evacuated, crew makes sure that passengers should come out safely putting their lives in danger. This is not less than a soldier job a on the border... Proud of you all sir. Will pray for your safety all the time from now.
Aircraft company’s should have some kind of technology like when there is an emergency landing, evacuation is in process, the overhead bins should be locked so the passengers have only one option and that is to evacuate.

Most passengers don't understand the SOP and the minimum crew complement that a flight can be operated. The crew are there not only to serve meals but essentially for passengers safety. They are trained for all aspects of SEP from, aviation medical to knowing where the BCF and fire extinguishers are within the aircraft and where they are kept. They know how and when to use a De-fib and know where the hand-cuffs are kept for rowdy passengers. They also know not to serve the same meal to the Captain & First officer. About people's obsession about their belongings - I think when the cabin crew explains about emergency procedure to passengers before takeoff, they should also stress on evacuating passengers without their bags/belongings. They should stress on the value of life over the materialistic belongings. It has to be told repeatedly to people.

❌Most of the passengers always try to show off attitude in front of cabin crew which is totally wrong, i have seen many of them are literally treating them just as waiters.
✔In reality, Air *Cabin Crew* are well trained to deal with safety, security and emergency situations which may arise and can administer *first aid* to passengers

Captain....from last 6years around I traveled from Kolkata to Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Delhi, Rajkot. Believe me till now I'm not asking for a glass of water. Because it's take only 1-2 hours if I drink enough water then I don't think so that you feel thirsty for another 4-5 hours. I respect all cabin crews and cordial love to captian.

I literally cried after watching this. I always wanted and still want to see myself as a cabin crew one day. I would love to take these Challenges. But, people! ! I don't understand understand why they say rubbish about this profession.
I don't like to hear any bad thing about this job. This is not only a glamorous job but also risky too. They stay alert all the time even when they are sitting.
