Someone is missing an entire foreign coin collection

Our metal detecting plans got derailed by a wildfire, so Danny volunteered to stay home to keep an eye on things and I went on a solo hunt.
I went to a park I’ve never been to before where the tot lot is huge-in 3 different sections of equipment. It took me 3 hours to detect it all. I had so many great finds, it’s hard to pick my favorite. Since I’m a coin collector, I was thrilled to find that some kid decided to pilfer his parents’ coin collection and use the old foreign coins as play currency in the play grocery store. They were all scattered in a 50 foot square area right there. The 1862 Napoleon III 10 centimes brass coin was the best but the others were pretty cool to find too. Of course, the 18K gold ring is likely the most expensive item I found, so that’s right up there with old Napoleon. But maybe the silver and turquoise cross is best since it is such an Arizona type of jewelry.
I found almost $7 in that tot lot. Given that one of the locals stopped to tell me that the equipment had been replaced about 6 months ago, I’m guessing no one ever metal detects there. We will be back to detect the rest of the park in future.
