How to: Spotting a fake Index 12 BMW N54 N63 N74 Piezoelectric fuel injector

We often see these come through and 9/10 times the person "got a good deal" on eBay. Unfortunately, no they didn't. They got ripped off. In more ways that initially realized. Many times they put them in the car, they work ok for a bit but then need to send them in for service. This is when we have to give them the bad news that they can't be fixed. Not only that one or 2 that has failed, but now they have 4 or 5 others that they don't know the actual index. UGH! This leaves them in a real bind!
Make sure you look close at the index to make sure it was not altered to trick you!!

Justlook at the production date: 110826 (26 august 2011). Index 12 can't be that old. I think they were produced starting from 2016 since i have index 11 from 2015.
It is easier to catch the scam, regardless how good or bad the rework at the last numbers is done.

Two weeks ago they sent me 6 pieces of these to check, bought in China. I checked it at the stand, two out of six were faulty.
