Hmm. Are you able to glue the glass to the wall without the glue showing through? Have you done testing on the adhesion? Will the paint flake off the moment its in contact with something? Can you cut the glass, polish it through a glass edger after you paint the glass?? I dont think so. Backpainted glass is so different then painting and staining wood. I would stick to your wood......
Does it need proper curing and will the paint gets flakes.. Is it safe to glue it on the wall or need to be screwed
I wish you could actually see the finished product when it's mounted on a wall. Or even see how they mount it and adhere it to a wall!

usually white colored Dow 795 works best..dries quick and small dots only needed
should have taped of the glass edges too before painting
