I really enjoy being informed about these price increases. I've been very fortunate to get some really good games before they started to spike in price. I remember back in the day you said something about how when some video games are slightly under one hundred dollars, they tend to go beyond one hundred dollars in the near future. Keeping that thought in mind, back in 2019 I ended up scoring a CIB copy of Haunting Ground for slightly under one hundred dollars, and ever since then I do not regret it. Thanks for keeping us informed.

It's crazy how I own all of the games featured in this video and I bought all for pretty cheap from GameStop. I got Fragile Dreams along with The Last Story and Pandora's Tower for $30 each about 2-3 years ago and now each of these games are going for about $100. 3 years ago I decided to buy all the "good" Wii exclusives along with hidden gems and those 3 games were included in a lot of lists I found online.

This is a great informative video much like having a meeting on the latest stock prices lol. Please make more videos like this as a collector myself videos like this are incredibly beneficial for sorting through thousands of games in order to find what you really want in your collection. I think this is the first video I’ve seen on TH-cam like this and I love it. If you promise to make more like this I will subscribe right away.
This is going to be a great series, because a lot of people don't expect that movie license games or even "bad" games are going up on prices. That is so heartwarming to know you picked up extra copies of games and gave them to friends to play. I did the same with multiple coworkers gifting them copies of Shadows of the damned, 3d dot game heroes,asuras wrath, puppeteer and folklore in 2014 when I could easily pick them all up for 8-14 bucks each.I wanted them to have new different gaming experiences than they were used to😁. XD I wonder how many of them are going to try and sell them now. 😂 That's Fascinating to learn about new 👀on Fragile Dreams.Im glad I found my copies at GameStop yrs ago. Wonder if Lost Odyssey,Capcom's Remember Me and Oopona on Wii will get more 👀
I’ve actually been thinking about stuff like this for awhile now. I got into the Fire Emblem series a few years back and I notice the prices going up more and more for each game. Though the 3DS games are still relatively affordable, but I’ve been thinking about what the prices for games like Awakening, Fates and Three Houses would be like 2 to 4 years from now. Like, Xenoblade 2 is on the Switch, a current Gen console and the price for that game is already higher than the 60 dollars it cost back at launch. I wouldn’t be surprised if the more recent Fire Emblems have a surge like this too.

One game like this is Koudelka for the PS1, I know it' survival horror, but holy hell did it just jump like crazy. There's too many instances of this going on right now. The Godfather PS3 was the first game I bought for the console even though I didn't have the console yet. Got it new at a discount from a closing store.

Something you might be overlooking when checking completed listings is if the item was listed as available for shipping outside of the US. This can influence if a game goes for more or not, as if someone in Sweden foor instance sees it for $100, which might seem a lot to someone in the US, they might snatch it up anyway as it is rarer for someone to offer the game delivered to their country. Just something to keep in mind when evaluation the value of something when looking at sold prices.
I came for a new Pete video. What I got was the most extensive and scholarly examination of market economics since the Wealth of Nations. 100% satisfied.
I know these videos are price speculation, but it'd be cool to briefly here your thoughts on some of these games, since I assume some won't fit easily into a video. I'd love to hear what you think of Devil's Third prices.
Fragile Dreams already has 4 completed sales in a row on ebay for over $200! I only bought 10 games for my Wii back in the day and Fragile Dreams was one. It was under my kitchen sink in a shoebox till I saw its worth recently.

I'm glad that I picked all of this stuff up back in the day when it was all readily available at any nearest GameStop, a lot of it they couldn't give away then. So many DS games for example, would just sit on the shelves at rock bottom prices and no one would buy them because the DS was still very much maligned back then, same with the Wii, and there was an over abundance of used 360 and PS3 games as well. Man, how times change. I recall paying about $25 for my copy of ICO around 2011. Never realized it went for any cheaper than that. It kind of surprises me that the game had a massive print like it did. I really don't see that level of mainstream potential in it... and what's odd is there's no "greatest hits" version despite so many copies out there. Sony is notorious for very low thresholds to brand a game as greatest hits, usually far more of those exist than black label.
In an era when TH-cam's full of "CONTENT CREATOR'S" pretending to like games for popularity. I appreciate Pete's videos even more. Loving the content Pete.
