if you're serious bout looking into making cc in blender, i'd recommend looking up the donut tutorial, things start to make a little more sense after 😂
Same... I've managed to make an object in Blender but somehow, this tutorial has been almost no help in explaining to me how to get to some of the tools I need... I can't figure out how she got where she is at at around 2:27.
Same tbh. I’ve tried all the Blender Guru donut tutorials and I just can’t follow along, I keep getting lost or not understanding what he’s saying to do and having to restart because I can’t undo my fuckup. I still don’t know how he deletes the light in the beginning. If anyone who’s struggling has found an understandable guide, please let me know!
If I was someone following this tutorial with no blender knowledge I would recommend just trying to do everything with just the default cube when you open Blender because learning to export for sims 4 and learning to model in 3d are completely different skills and its best to learn them separately before you combine the two
@Jacob Kinsley thx for the answer, your answer applies to me, have no blender knowledge, so I should do everything with the default cube. I tried once but it was so difficult that I stopped, I wish there were more tutorials to explain the whole UI and how to rotate and do things with the cube.
@@luciathesylveon8082 3d modeling is a lot of fun. It's difficult to get into the 3d modeling mindset but it's a bit like drawing, in that you will start to see how a real life object could be built and which modeling method would work best for it. It's also a great time to get into it with software like blender which is free and a lot of people can help you with. The official blender tutorial playlist is good for getting you used to the interface but the most important thing is to remember not to watch too many tutorials. Make sure you break up the tutorials by using the software without any guides, it will feel a bit like you haven't learned anything but it will be really useful to know what you need to work on next. It's a bit like the difference between tracing vs drawing from your imagination. The best tip for using blender is to press f3 to search for different functions.
@@luciathesylveon8082 I learned the most about blender by following tutorials on how to build low poly buildings. Follow one and then use the knowledge from those videos to experiment on your own! Being able to 3D model is so fun so don’t give up!! 💕
This is what I’m stuck on right now. I’ve scoured YT for real beginner’s tutorials and I just can’t follow them? I need a tutorial that explains what the buttons mean and exactly what to click when. Even clicking the cube doesn’t do anything…I’m completely lost and frustrated beyond belief. :/
Hi Sieory! I came here to figure out how to make my burglar alarm object and think your tutorial's pretty awesome. I have some experience in Blender so I think you gave me everything I need to know! I really appreciate the time you put into this.
i would LOVE longer video explaining how to do this, blender 2.80 scares me bc it's so differen't from the older versions, so it would be cool to see step by step how to work inside it :)
It was a shock aswell going from 2.7x to 2.8, but it caught up in a few weeks. Small tip from a noob: listen to keywords from tutorials. Enter them in the search bar pressing spacebar and you have your tool without searching in the UI (presuming its the standart control scheme). After some time you get used to shortcuts and its all a walk in the park.
I know this is 3 years old but I am just learning blender and procreate and nomad sculpt. It actually helps the super long - moving slowly showing us exactly where, what it's called, and why in simple terms. I know 2 hours is scary but if that is how long it takes that is how long it takes. haha trust me - I have ADHD and this is something I really want to commit to but it's scary because I don't read well and seeing it and doing it with you step by step helps.
@@Sieory also i would like to get a long tutorial video on how to do it, can"t expect for us to learn it when you fast forwarding through whole video, i understand english very well but i still need you to walk me through it step by step. normal people would have explained it way better.
I found this because I am recreating Parks and Rec in the sims. One of the most iconic parts of the show is the extra layer of comedy from the murals and quirky signs and stuff. I am going to attempt this but I will start simple with the “adopt a park” poster or “Jan Cooper, Miss Chlamydia 2011 brought to you by the health department” posters. Thank you for this!
Thank You!!I learn so much better from watching tutorials than i do from reading the step by step on the s4s. I appreciate how you are also using blender 2.8 to do the original model because the old blenders are so confusing!
Great video! Thanks for explaining things clearly and with patience! I find a lot of tutorials hard to work with since people sometimes tend to rush through things when they know them well lol
Hello I have a problem!! (( minute 8:24)) When I want to import my mesh into sims4studio I get the loading banner but then nothing happens and everything stays the same, I don't know what to do about it.
Thank you so much! I personally would love a video as long as it takes to actually explain what to do in creating items from scratch and to learn from a proven process. I hope you'll consider, much appreciated for all your work!
Thanks for making this video! I want to get into cc making myself and am willing to watch longer video’s explaining the molding steps, making different swatches etc! I hope you’ll make more of these videos in the future 😊😊
Thank you so much!!! I just finished making my very first object for The Sims 4! I had already modelled it in Blender 2.9 but had no idea on how to make it to the Sims 4! It was pretty straightforward, now I just have to fix its shadow. :)
Thank you for the video! The tutorial is great, and i love the result! But i think you missed an important step: decimate the object in LOD1 and LOD2! This is an important step, because too many object with heavy lods can slow down the game!
Adorable! You remind me of a younger me. I made skins for the sims and sims 2. Then I got old lol. I’m wanting to get back into making cc and wow this seems complicated but I’ll give it a shot

Hello! Great video. I would love in-depth tutorial(s). Do you also make functioning items? Such as sofas, bed etc. If you do, could you make a tutorial on that too? Also, how do you use both version 2.70 and 2.80? When i use the 2.70 my program glitches and i can't work in it. Can't wait for more content xx
Spec means specular which controls reflections, black=no reflection white= reflection. The bump creates an optical illusion to create depth in textures, cobblestone, wood grain ect. photoshop can make those automatically with any jpeg you find on google.
If y'all want help with the modeling just search blender tutorials for beginners on youtube. It's intimidating at first but it's not as bad as it seems and you will get better over time
I would also love a long video, an hour and upwards. I play a lot of different games, both Mmorpg and others and I see so much stuff I'd love to re-create for sims 4 and came to the conclusion that is no one else is making it I'll do it my damn self!
