    One of those large rocks had a built-in fish cave. Love the flow of the water

      The homeowner is there multiple hours a day overseeing progress of the house, along with building his model trains and tile mosaics. 🐸 hes had the koi for over 20 years, and he loves them like family. 🐟

      It is a new pond at a new home for this guy. He moved his koi in from his old pond at his old house ;)

    Nice! That location is bananas! How long did you need to wait before the water cleared up, or did you get the electric/power washer water issues figured out?

    • @tristanadams3932
      @tristanadams3932 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      We got it figured out. There was a well pump with a generator hooked up to it that made it happen!

      Sup Whip? Haven’t been on in a few weeks…We just did a charity build for Sawyer Mason Foundation in Mass. and then a fund-raiser in New York. Stay tuned for a great story and thanks for hanging with us ;)

    Love all the stuff you guys do, your amazing such beautiful energy! As always this pond is phenomenal, I'd love a pond in a courtyard like that it's perfect and well protected from predator birds I figure, anyway it's special being designed and accessible like that, great idea!

    Oh, look, it's that same ratty strap... pond looks awesome guys.

    • @KoiAddiction
      @KoiAddiction  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Lol yer killin me! I’m going to have a meeting with the team, but they already know not to use straps or the actual strap is damaged. All of our straps just about have that Cordera on top and it is frayed as crap. When you see the inner strap fraying, you can see a different color inside. that’s how we know the actual weight bearing strap portion has taken a hit. It’s good of you to be looking out for us, and I will be sure to say something to the crew.

      @@KoiAddiction haha, hey, just like to see safe work, my guy. I've been on a job where a strap failed and injured a guy, and I would hate to see and update video or something where you had to talk about one of your guys getting injured or worse. Love your content I've watched for years now. You guys inspired me to build my first pond. Keep up the magic, and stay safe.

    • @tristanadams3932
      @tristanadams3932 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The courtyard is 16’ from wall to wall x 33’ roughly from door to future retaining wall.

    what is the base for the patio..is it some type of decomposed granite
    and then how do you lock it
    sand with an aggregate

    • @KoiAddiction
      @KoiAddiction  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Slabs are on crushed stone (road base). Cracks typically get a coarse sand, gator dust, or similar-depending on client. We don’t get frost heave here so its not a big deal!

    • @tristanadams3932
      @tristanadams3932 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Depends on where youre located and access, this one as it sits on top of a mountain over an hour from us was roughly 55k for the lot of it.

    • @KoiAddiction
      @KoiAddiction  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yep, what Tristan said. That is within our 90 minute “home” range! It would cost 30-50% more if were farther out and we had to stay in a hotel or Air BNB.
