Hello from Italy 😉. thanks for the great videos you make, I learned a lot of useful tips.
Could I have some advice on anchors for double rope access?
A - on a metal structure with L-shaped upright (10cmx10cm) what do you recommend?
1-two WIRE STROP petzl (steel rope)
2- two CONNEXION FIXE + PROTECT or two ANNEU + PROTEC
B - on a "naked" pole with guided ascent heater how can I anchor myself to the pole?
two CONNEXION FIXE + PROTECT or two ANNEU + PROTEC
wrapped 2 times so as not to slip
I have not seen anchors to be used on metal structures with sharp corners/edges but only on round structures
C - One last question, after installing a wall anchor (COEUR BOLT PETZL) you do an extraction test right? How many kN should the test be performed to deem a reliable anchorage?
if at 15kN it tears I have to try to
    6kN or
    10kN or
    14kN ?
Thanks in advance and good luck with your work

      Thank you for your questions.
Very specific though and not really things you learn in TH-cam comments. Work with experienced L3’s is one of the best ways to gain knowledge.
A-IF it is strong enough! Which I can not tell with this information. Go for wire strips over textile any day.
B-I do not understand the question and situation
C-I think Petzl has information on that publicly available.
Let me state again that you should be trained by someone in all these situations and not learn from YT comments.
If you are interested in learning more, please send me an email at: connect@theropeaccesschannel.com
I am working on a mentoring program.
      Hope this helps🙏🏻🙏🏻

      Really thanks for the reply.
I am an employee and have been working on telecommunication metal structures for ten years.
I did the five-day category A course (metal structures) for rope access and rope rescue.
The legislation in Italy is different and at times embarrassing: If I took another course I could become a supervisor without the slightest experience in the field. The instructor told us that in Germany, for example, you need to have at least ten years of field experience to become a rope access supervisor.
B-I can't find the right words in English to explain myself. I tried. essentially I was curious about which methods to use to make anchoring points on a flanged pole.
I have seen that more or less all training structures, at least in Italy, are similar to playgrounds, no dangerous points and almost perfect anchor points, unfortunately very distant from real situations. A trivial example, we carried out the descent on the wall by lowering ourselves from the roof but the wall anchors to prepare the ropes, had already been made.
In any case, today they confirmed to me that I will be joined by a person with more experience.
It was really a pleasure to exchange an opinion with you. I will definitely continue to watch the videos as well.
      Thank you.
