Now I know that the play in the disc is not a defect, thanks to all of you who have commented about the floating disc mechanism....blessed to have such knowledgeable audience😊
✌️ These floating discs helps is better heat dissipation that makes the brake fluid work more effectively Also it prevents disc warping as it's connected in between and the thermal expansion is mostly limited to the outer part and doesn't affect the wheel hub Ultimately better braking 😄
The brake disc is called a floating disc. It is made of two metals joined by a rivet with a bit of play to allow expansion of the brake disc without warping it. It is not a defect!
Your channel is one of the best recommendations youtube has ever given to me. I have just turned 19 & i hope to get a good job. I will start with 200 or 250 cc bike get enough experience with it & I'll try to save money as much as possible so that I can this beautiful bike bike before I turn 25 or 27 & hope I'll have attained some kind of stability (in-terms of money) to go trips once or twice after buying it. You give so much details about the bike. it's so refreshing to see someone passionately talk about the things they not because they are paid for it but they genuinely love it. Love from Karnataka bro 🤘🤘🤘.

The sound and little movement is not a manufacturing defect, but it one of the newest mechanism in the breaking setup called "Floating discs." They are used mainly on racing oriented bikes and Aprilla as a racing manufacturing plant used this move wisely setting up on the latest RS457 too. This has many benefits like reduction of weight, breaking power, and the main reason to upgrade to floating discs is "HEAT" they isolate the hottest part of the disk with rivits in an airgap and that allows the rotor blade to expand without warping. Plus this type of brakes are also better with weight management. Love your content, keep sharing and keep educating the riders!
@Prakash that aspect you were talking about w.r.t the brake disc having play, the RS457 has what is called a floating disc. It is meant to have that play. Linking a video by RevZilla on this aspect. th-cam.com/video/gsdAx2R44Co/w-d-xo.html By the way, as a prospective buyer of the RS457, you are contributing a lot to our buying decision and would like to thank you for it.
I live in Greece and I am going to be 50 years old in a few days. I know it sounds weird but I am thinking seriously of buying the new RS457. If I use logic I should buy something different because I like traveling with my motorcycle and I know that this one is not the most apropriate. But my heart keeps telling me that the Aprilia is the best for me! I don't know why but it is maybe because I was an owner of a 2-stroke RS125 when I was younger (2007-2010). Inside my mind I am thinking that I could have this bike and make the trips I want with concessions to comfort. Don't you think?
Can you please tell me how much do you feel back pain and shoulder pain riding 50 to 100 km in a strech? Or else you don't feel any kind of pain while riding 50 kms because of very committed riding position ?
Wish you a wonderful experience with your bike. Thanks for providing so many videos with variety of content and information. I have one important question which you haven't covered much apart from the city commute part, i.e riding comfort for long distances. I am also planning to buy a new bike and Aprilia rs 457 is on the top of the list. I have owned an R15 and I could easily tour 250-300 kms on it without any issues. How much comfortable the Aprilia rs 457 would be in comparison or as per your own experience now?
If you ask them very nicely at the dealership, they might be able to downgrade you from a floating disc rotor to a fixed disc rotor. 😂 From America, I love your content!!! 🇮🇳🪷🪯🕉️🛕

@@purpledude5526 check in with the dealership you’re going through, also should’ve received an email like the rest of us notating the delay. Very soon now though :)
This bike has so many low points , Guys if you want to have a premium bike then ignore this bike. Its just a poorly made high on features bike available at reasonable price.
if you are low on budget and wanted a loaded bike then go for this otherwise not a premium machine to own. The components , switches and nuts are of below average quality.

I don't see you talking about the left side weight imbalance issue, although I noticed you facing it and grabbing the handle quickly.
hmmm i see it. there is always a bias when it comes to these yt content creators. No one can be trusted.

its not a defect the slight play is for track motivated .. where the disk heats up and that play will go .. semi floating disks are like that

As the front mudguard is very small, ain't u facing any issues ????

You had installed adjustable brake lever but why not clutch lever too? Is there any reason for that?
The clutch switch doesn't match with the locally available levers or with the KTMs
