The Blaze would not sync no matter what I did and at no time did it show it was charging when plugged into my laptop. I had installed the fitbit app and it would not sync. none of the buttons have any effect on the tracker.
The problem with wrist heart rate accuracy happens when the watch is not tight enough on the wrist. I don't like a tight watch. I don't think we are there yet in wrist wearables.
+Dave Willmore For sure, at the moment wrist based heart rate monitoring is not superior to chest strap monitoring. I think the wrist measurements are more for those who don't rely on heart rate as a key component of their workout. It's for quick checks once in a while. Like you said, to maintain a constant reading the watch has to be pretty tight, and even then it's not super accurate. The wrist sensors use light to measure HR and chest uses electricity, so even that plays a role. All of the big names in wearables are releasing their own proprietary heart rate tech, so it will be interesting to see how it compares and progresses!
I have a brand new blaze and for some reason I can't get it to charge. The screen just says "fitbit.com/setup". So I put it in the proprietary charger and plugged that into my laptop. No charge. 12 HOURS LATER STILL NO CHARGE. It syncs to my phone but that's it. I can't even use the damn thing because I have to update it before I can use it. Problem is, it won't let me update it because it says the battery is too low. I made sure I put the fitbit into the charging port correctly. I made sure the USB was inserted into the laptop correctly. I made sure the laptop was on. Still, nothing. 12 hours of charging, resetting, unsyncing and syncing again, restarting my phone. Nothing. A lot of people seem to be having this same problem. This is not a new product. Why is it still having these problems. Unacceptable. 200 GODDAMN DOLLARS LATER and the piece of shit doesn't work. Fed up with this shit.

If the device is supposed to support notifications and it didn't work for me, then yes I have trouble recommending it as the best choice. I'm sure that the notification issue has been fixed in updates, but at the time of the review those were my thoughts.
In my opinion and general knowledge on using Fitbit. It's not worth the money at all. Your paying 130£ for a watch basically that does the same thing as what a free app on your phone does called my fitness pal for free. I wish I didn't waste my money on this. I think it's more suited for people who aim to run a certain distance not for people like myself who go gym an lift weights. Honestly for me it's been irrelevant and hasn't helped me out in my goals what so ever.

the multiplemessaging problem had been fixed with the latest firmware. They do shoe up in reverse order but there is a 3/3 - 2/3- 1/3 assigned.

I don't have any issues with notifications, must be your phone. The touch sensitivity is great for me.

Charge cradle design sucks. I hate proprietary plugs and chargers.
