I like this review! it shows the mistakes that can be made when trying to charge the Blaze - I did exactly the same things myself until I read online that the face pops out of the back of the frame. I got a Blaze last week but couldn't get it to do anything. It wouldn't charge, it wouldn't measure my heart-rate, I couldn't set anything on it at all. This You Tube has shown me how to do all that. Blaze owner here. If you want this as a watch too, I go with the Pebble. It's really aggravating to check to see what time it is. To get the display to turn on via motion detection, you have to make a classic swing of the wrist from the waist to your face. No slight turns of the wrist to see the time. Even if your wrist is in front of you, you'll have to turn your wrist all the way back and then forward for it to come on. Also, I don't think the pedometer on this thing works right either. I even did the whole setup for my walking stride. On mornings when I would wake up and (I'm living in a camper) get ready for work, it would say that I've taken like three or four hundred steps! I put it on charge before I went to bed one night and when I put it on it said I had taken 54 steps! The watch vibrates (which is hardly noticeable) when you walk over 10,000 steps, I really doubt when I reach that goal to the point of wanting to buy a cheap pedometer with it. Movements with your wrist count as steps too. I was playing a computer game and when a cut-scene came on I started tapping my fingers on my desk. I then noticed my Blaze vibrate telling me that I just walked over 10,000 steps lol. I own a Pebble watch too and now am thinking about just selling my Blaze. The Pebble just does it for me.

I think almost every step tracker ultimately has ways steps get counted even when you aren't actually tracking. One time I even tried to purposely do this by shaking my arm a bit with the Jawbone UP because I was using Pact app (you have to pay if you don't make your goals), and I hurt my foot while doing a race so I needed the steps (it worked, lol). Mostly, I think the point is to get a general, overall idea of where your steps are at then to be precise down to the last step sort of deal. Also, I'm not sure if this is true, but so far both with the Alta and the Blaze it seems to me if you make sure your elbow is horizontal when checking the watch it will display better. It seems to be a big factor for me when moving my arm. I've noticed putting my wrist at the same exact height but with my elbow lower or down it won't display at all sometimes, but when I make sure to keep the elbow up as I look at the watch it works almost every time. Just a tip! I'm not sure if that's actually something to it or I just think it's doing that, mind you! :)
I have recently bought a fitbit blaze watch ... Sent and i have installed its app on my Android phone 10:16 AM but every time it jumps out (sign out) without any reason ... in spite of i had enrolled and signed in though 10:18 AM every time i used the app on phone it jumps out next time and i have to sign in again and again what would be problems ? what am i supposed to do to tackle the difficulty. ???

Melissa Remley you can go to the first page and it will ask u if u want notifications on or off and I have to press on. If that doesn’t work I have no idea what is wrong.

Yes you can, you just have to set it up with your computer. I would not suggest the blaze if you don't have a phone. The charge hr will do basically the same thing for you without the phone
Would be nice to know what calendar will sync with the watch. I think this is vaporware. I am also really disappointed that the watch does not display the day with the date. My $30 mechanical watch told me what day it is. (only important if your retired :-) ) The advertising shows a clock face that is not available. Why do the programmers max the display of the time, seems to be much bigger in the advertising.
Now I don't recommend this, but I have some news on this topic: I've heard on multiple occasions that both the Charge 2 and Blaze (didn't look at the others) have fairly good water resistance. Many people use them in the showers and have yet seen any damage. On top of that, there's a review on Amazon for the Blaze that also states he/she accidently wore the watch and jumped into a pool. Never seen anyone say that the Fitbit malfunctioned. Again, I advise against this but I think Fitbit probably wasn't sure how the devices would fair in more extreme water exposure. Or they had a few units fail and weren't trying to make the models completely swim proof so instead they just advised against it rather than try to rework the model to have swimming capabilities. So keep this in mind. If you forget and wear it in the water, it'll PROBABLY be fine, but definitely not worth the risk. There must be a reason stronger than just skin irritation, so I'm sure a few units failed to work after swimming conditions.
A little late but this doesn't have GPS, only through your phone. As long as you don't have location services turned on on your phone, then you should be good. But I believe any GPS tracker fitness band offers the option to turn if off.
I put my one in this loading quarter, USB is plugged in, but the display still shows "Fitbit.com/setup" ....nothing else! If I push the buttons, nothing is happening
I love the Blaze. It actually looks a bit more classy than the Apple watch. But of course the Apple watch has more such as texting with it, playing music out of it, and apparently now water proof. If you're willing to pay an extra 100+ dollars than buy an Apple watch. Honestly, I recommend you getting a Blaze. Its definitely worth the prices. Been using mine for 2 years, and i've lost 30lbs! Go for it! if you dont like it, you can always return it!

A little late but this doesn't have GPS, only through your phone. As long as you don't have location services turned on on your phone, then you should be good. But I believe any GPS tracker fitness band offers the option to turn if off.
