Your videos are so amazing than any one coaching platforms like prepladder or marrow....I thought ophthalmology is a full rattafication subject...but you made is so conceptual...thank you sir🥰
Difference between high myopia and pathological? Sir my sight is -10.25/-3.25D with pale disc. In the OCT and other tests they found the anatomy to be normal. However the VA is reduced since fee months even with correction there is not much improvement.
high myopia simply means a spherical power of more than -6 D but for a high myopia to be a pathological myopia it is important that there are degenerative changes in the fundus which basically means that you have changes in the retina. Since your octs are normal it means you only have high myopia and not pathological myopia. But even with this you must continue to undergo 6 monthly routine assessments
Hello Sir, I have powers of approx -17 in both eyes with pathological myopia. I live in India do you have any suggestions where I can consult with a specialist I was thinking of Shankar Netralaya, Chennai(do you know of any specific doctor there to whom I should go) ?. Thank you for your help.
