Draw if you stop the boat and reel in the long line. You get more time to hook them. The long line reels itself in. You don't have to move the boat.

And he is using a hook that's at least as long as a fire ax but tries hooking the fish after the first try while the line is right in front of him...

Guys, I think perhaps Drae got the message about the sound effects, but remember: he most likely alr edited those videos and scheduled them for release some time ago, so give it some time

And the dock workers over at Rost looked on with concern this afternoon as a local fisherman bought a small service boat and apparently began operation of a whale watching business, for ghosts. The workers present at the time reported that the fisherman pulled up on the dock and seemed to be welcoming non-existent people on board his vessel. He then headed out to sea shortly after, seemingly inquiring as to the enjoyment of his ethereal passengers as he got underway. Delusions of tourism in the area not withstanding, actual whales were sighted in the fisherman's vicinity.
Did the dock workers feel sorry for him and gather up the 20k (edit 25k) in a whip round? lol 😂

So after being told off like a 5yr old i thought i would edit my post before it hurt someones feelings, or at the grand age of 36 being told to go to my room, but i left the original mistake in and only made the edit in brackets to leave context

Lesson learned: Wait until you can transport large bags before investing in fish farms. Or risk going slowly (maybe not so slowly) insane.
I made 6 million with Roster in one run with food

second lesson to learn, when you load the medium food bags that hold 500kg of food, you can just barely fit 6 of them on the DrPhil. Then, you have to take 10 50 lb bags from it one at a time, you can't quickly load all 500kg with a few clicks.
Dude the fish eat more every day as they get bigger in your farm and be careful or your fish will rot in your boat before you get back if you stay out too long. Lol

@@MelodicTurtleMetal I had just woken up, so my brain was thinking 2000lb tons rather than metric tons and I couldn't figure out the conversion. lol I realize the error now.
Drae my guy a imp advice for u is that when u haul fish u should always stop ur boat and then start hauling fish then u will most probably get the best possible results ✌🏻😅
You also don’t have to be moving to pull in the lines. Park next to it at a good angle and you can catch them all

Desperately wanted to see you take big salmon food on new boat
Just by looking at the pattern. It looks like you can only hook the fish if you swing before the head leaves the water. Try hooking them before they break the surface.
It's just a weird hitbox.... Stand back a little further than you think you need to and aim at the actual hook in the fishes mouth
The easiest way I’ve found to get the fish on board is to just stare at the point the hooks are meeting the water and just click multiple times to swing, make sure to let the hook finish the swinging motion before clicking again!
You definitely add a whole new level of enjoyment to a game like this

Thank you for the series Drae! Your patience is admirable... I love previous games from this developer but Ships At Sea are so far to tedious to me... Not that fun at all, so much wait time and travel to only one port all the time... I now wish they released this game a year later at least!
I'd abuse that glitched fish storage mehcanic while it lasts that's amazing
You should stay at the fish farm and sleep on the boat, add food, sleep again, etc. As they grow, they eat more food.
If you get the big boat and get the large bags just skip time and with the farm you can get 6 or 8 mill if all the salmon reach 8kg

Since you put that much food in the fish farm, you should’ve just waited at your boat rest for 24 hours a day maybe three or four days and they would’ve gotten to like level seven and you could’ve sold them for like 12 million

Drae, theres a crossair for when hooking the fish, the crossair goes in the center of the hook, not on the head of the fish

I think when you are going to hook the fish you need to do it while the head is just under the water that’s usually when it seems you get them
You should just sell the Fixer until the content related to the ship is added/polished. Some extra Cash for upgrades.

I absolutely loved Fishing North sea, and i love this series too. But i hate, hate, hate the looney toons sound effects!!
Looks like you need to hit the mouth of the fish to hook it in, anywhere else it just denies you lol
So, I made sure to note what say you filled in the fish food then when they were out.. 15 days had passed in game for your 12 days or so of food. You were out a long long time.

Made an obscene amount of cash today, 140mill fish farming did 3 full runs on Dr Phill's from feed to 8 days then sell. the full amount of fish on board each time. Probably took me 3hrs.
I wonder, like you sometimes see these people driving dump trucks with too much cargo, but here we can see (let's even say this boat weights 1 or 2 tons) this thing pulling up to port with 80 tons of fish on board, what would people in port think seeing something like this lol.

they haven't added the fish weight limits yet it seems, in the description your boat should only be able to hodl 1.5 tons
Question what does the services tab do when your in the office?
You can buy towing packages on the service tab, if you were to run out of fuel in the open seas, or just wanted a fast travel back to port. You can do that now with the handheld radio, but each trip will cost you, depending on your distance from Port. These are package deals, where you can buy 5, 10, or 20 free tows, but I'm not sure if they've actually been implemented in game yet.

As fish grow, they eat more
At present, going for the Tier 2 fishing boat is pointless. It has a bigger fuel tank, can carry more gear, but only a half knot faster, and with the infinite fish capacity, the Flippy is all you need right now.
