Hey jen thanks for the informative video ! I'm going to be majoring in accounting and had a question. When I work in public accounting fur 2-3 years and get my CPA, would I be able to work seasonally for 4 months as a contractor then take time off ? I've read that some accountants work for the Big 4 or other firms using contractors during the busy season. How common is this and is it always busy every year where one can find a 4-5 month contract ? Thanks.
I’m a junior with a 3.6 GPA, constantly sending out applications and trying to network events and I still don’t get no interviews. How can I get an interview during recruiting season? Thank you
Make sure you have a good resume (in pdf), get to know each campus recruiter of the firms you want to work at, consistently apply even if it’s 50+ companies, and track where you’re applying. Hope everything goes well!
Hello, just wanted to update on the comment. The tips worked and I got a internship offer for big 4 and a mid tier. I am not sure which one to take if both end up leading to a full time position. My end goal is to open my own financial tax and accounting firm helping small and medium business. However I am not sure if big 4 will be any relevant experience for opening my own tax practice further down the road. What do you advice ? Thank you!
I’m a big fan of your videos! Keep it up 👍🏼
Love your videos girl! They are so informative! ☺️
Thanks Brenda!
Great video! Thank you for this video! Learned a lot :]
Thank you for posting this! Just wondering in your experience how marketable are you if you have accounting experience but no degree?
Do you mean no accounting degrees? You may still be marketable with another bachelor degree and accounting experience.

Public accounting makes me miserable.
How long have you been in public accounting?
