You’ve become one of the very few resellers I watch consistently because it is a learning experience every time. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and your “gut feelings”.
Thanks for the great video and thanks for admitting that the bins can tire you out. I thought it was just me and because I'm old! I think the thing that gets me the most is the way my bins puts everything together. I'm constantly wrestling off big blankets, rugs, etc. trying to get to the clothing.
I tried the bins again, and it was really hard to stay there for very long. I did find a few awesome finds, but then people were stealing them out of my cart when my back was turned. Really disappointed in people 😢
Oh no!! Every bins location is different and some of them have really rude people. I love bringing a hulken bag because I can keep it with me as I go down the aisles.
@themommyjoy WHAT? I nvr heard of that one at the bins. That's Is totally messed up. That would have 2 be by the folks that donate doing that and if they are pleas throw your stuff away!! That is just ignorant.
The bins are ruthless I can say that and you have to keep your basket in front of you at all times which is ridiculous. I know some were doing it in our bins and a fight broke out because they caught them. So they deserved what they got. But I frequent the bins and I watch basket at all times and if I lose some stuff oh well don't let me catch you. I have seen several people get kicked out for that too.
I found a Johnny Was Lyra Blouse NWT laying across a pile of clothes at the bins last week. I have never even thought about picking up Croft&Barrow and there’s a lot at my bins. Now, I need to start looking!
You are amazing!! I have learned so much from you over the years. I took a risk and picked up something “based on style”. Not a brand I would have ever picked up! It sold in less than 8 hours for my full asking price! $33 sale on a meh brand.
Oh, looking forward to watch this as I list today. I spent all day at the bins yesterday and have the same sentiments as you. Found 2 like new alligator leather belts with sold comps of $175, made the trip worth all the pain and exhaustion 😂
You know you binge watch this channel too much when you go to do a google search on an item to list and this video pops up on Google feed. Really cool to see Google push this talented girl out. She deserves to shine. :)
I got a natural life dress at the bins recently. I honestly picked it up for myself cause I had no idea about the brand. I didn't end up working out for me, so I listed it, and it sold in a day 🤯
I made it to the end, Cayley, always do!!! So many great deals at the bins! We don't have a one in our state, almost might be worth traveling to a neighboring state, but I probably would wear myself out at 75! You keep going girl for both of us!
I always learn new brands when I watch your videos. I also love that you try to move through the items fairly quickly while showing a clear picture of the label. Very informative. Thank you!
Watched all the way through! Thank you. I struggle with the bins also. I need personal space and people are pretty aggressive so I very rarely go there. I prefer to shop at the store and enjoy the procees.
It's kind of funny because at my bins people will go crazy at the new bins. Meanwhile I'm calming eating a snack/drink, listening to music looking at the all the stuff they passed up or overlooked. We all look for different things and a lot of people at my bins don't want vintage (which I love). I very rarely jump in the stampede unless I see something. Most things I found that are good are things people threw back- not the new bins!!
I always watch to the end! 😂 I love your drive and so happy for you on WhatNot. Still getting started myself, but you are inspiring to me. I'm like a SpongeBob. 😊
Love the bins!! The thrift stores around me are way too high to make any profit! Most of what I get is style-based and then every once in awhile I'll get a big bolo! Thanks for sharing!!!! ~jc
Made it to the end and LIKED IT! Seems like most resellers at my bins, are "Bins Boys" looking for single stitch tees, and sports clothing. Fine with me, I'll buy all the VS bras! Those last two dresses are amazing! I would have grabbed them too. The first one I would put tunic is your title, as leggings or tights can be worn with it! I go to the bins in Pittsburgh (Versailles) ....how far is that from you? Agree, back pain...feet pain...I wear a copper fit foot band and sometimes slap on a pain patch! I travel 1.5 hours to get and I'm going to SLAY ALL DAY!
I feel the exact same sentiments as you as far as pros and cons of the bins. I always want to go more, but find myself just frequenting my reg thrifts more. The bins feel like so much work lol
I finally went to the bins in Sacramento. first time ever. Didnt go to stay just to see what it was about. I found a Pendelton towel and 2 vintage wool blankets. The towel sold in 2 days. The bins is an experience!!
I made the whole haul! I wish my bins wasn't so far away, 2+ hours one way in Jersey traffic is just to much on top of the workout at the bins! Really beautiful pieces!
I would think, dear Cayley, that going to the bins also involves sensory overload - the crowds so close together - in addition to "being under the time gun" (not sure how your bins works it) with a time limit on rollouts.
I just started going to the bins regularly again in my area. 3rd week in a row and love going early in the week versus later. It’s an hour drive so I try to make myself stay still I get at least 50 pounds. It is hard!! But you can’t beat the COG so I’m challenging myself. This encourages me to see you’re not a big fan either. I do enjoy it but do enjoy the leisure of thrift stores more. Not their prices. 😅
Some of these style terms are funny. Funny names but more so funny that people/brands/etc are categorizing things so finitely. People are great Fairy Grunge. Whimsy Goth. Regency Core.
Thank you so much Cayley! Your videos have been super helpful. Question, how can you tell when it’s an actual Y2K vintage piece vs. just a Y2K style/modern piece from the same brand?
I personally can usually tell just based off the look of the tag. I think that just comes with experience. You can also go to sites like the vintage fashion guild and study labels.
I found two virgin wool sweaters at the bins one is hand knit made in New Zealand and the other is mcgeorge from Scotland. I have only been selling for 3 months there are none like either one on eBay I even tried google lens and nothing how would I even go about proving them?
Where are the bins??? I never know what you are talking about when you talk about the ‘bins’….. are then behind the store? I never see any bins at my goodwills…. Where are they? Can someone please tel me thank you!
Love the longer videos. I am a little confused about what length a maxi skirt or dress is considered to be. I googled it and 39 inches seems to be the minimum length. How do you decide what is maxi?
Hello! I just took a tape measure and measured against my own body to get a good idea of where a maxi or midi length skirt should be. I did the same thing with dresses.
@cayleyelaine OK. Thanks for the prompt reply. I'm on the taller side so I guess I'm thinking of where the hem would hit me. I need to change some listings. Have a great weekend!
I watch to the end and I love seeing pieces I purchased in the video. Did you get a new tattoo on your arm? I did not remember that big one on your forearm ❤️
I feel like you can lose a lot of profit on what not cause people are trying to get the lowest price possible on the auctions and there’s usually not very many people watching the shows.
@@cayleyelaine Do you think it’s helps having the TH-cam channel and social media presence on whatnot? Seems pretty hard to get enough people in a room at one time to drive auctions up
@GaryCat899 I think it helps initially but if you don't have good items then you won't be able to sustain it. I personally know several people that built whatnot from nothing with no sm
You’ve become one of the very few resellers I watch consistently because it is a learning experience every time. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and your “gut feelings”.
Loved this haul!!! I’m here for the longer videos anytime!! ❤
Omg! Vintage Ralph Lauren towels do so well, all of their bedding does
Biederlack blankets too

I'm small & get elbowed a lot! 😂
Love the longer videos- I listen while I’m working and always learn something new from you. Thanks for sharing!
Same! I like turning the longer videos on and putting my earbuds in and then organizing or cleaning up or something.
I tried the bins again, and it was really hard to stay there for very long. I did find a few awesome finds, but then people were stealing them out of my cart when my back was turned. Really disappointed in people 😢
I’m so afraid to try it for this reason! I’ve heard they are crazy where I’m from. That and the dog poo bags in the pocket I’ve heard about. 😂
Oh no!! Every bins location is different and some of them have really rude people. I love bringing a hulken bag because I can keep it with me as I go down the aisles.
@@themommyjoy same here! I've heard the managers are nasty and show favoritism.

I love Sundance too! I LOVE your hauls too. Thank you for all that you do!!!
I love the bins! Of course, I sell more than clothes. I ALWAYS make money when I go there but some days are better than others.
Luv your channel. Great finds! Your bins are incredible.
I got a natural life dress at the bins recently. I honestly picked it up for myself cause I had no idea about the brand. I didn't end up working out for me, so I listed it, and it sold in a day 🤯

I always stay til the end, sold an Old Navy maxi dress Size L, would never have picked it up until I saw your vid. Keep your recos coming! Thx

I just sold that exact Tommy Bahama Linen dress on PM in black for $50 in less than a week

Honors is vintage Target
Didn't know that, thanks!
thanks for you time
Watched till the end! How long did you stay at the bins? I have a hard time after an hour. Definitely need to work on my endurance. Haha great video!
Because I drive so far, I am usually there at least 4 hours.
For vintage Tee, there is copyright and date around the picture. Usually bring more money
I watch all the way to the end every time.
Great Bins Haul.. The bins are a workout. Keeps me fit lol

So true!

Do you do anything to get the bins’ wrinkles out, or just photograph as is?
I use a steamer.
The thumbnail 😁😁😁
I believe My Michelle is a kids brand, so 16 girls, but nwt will probably still sell.
My Michelle sells both women's and kids.
Where are these bins you talk about? What did all of these items you showed on this video cost you? Thanks!!
In Ohio. My average cog was around 1.50.

do i need to add my items to my whatnot show inventory before going live?
Yes, otherwise you'd have to add them during your show and I don't recommend that.

Is it pretty much a guarantee that if a brand sells well in regular sizes, that it will definitely sell better in bigger sizes/plus sizes?
Not always, but yes, most of the time.
when you say you list it on whatnot do you just list it like eBay or you list to do a live auction?
I do a live auction. But you can list buy it now items on whatnot now.

My last tattoo was probably 3-4 years ago. None of them are new but you probably don't see most of them. I have a lot lol.

No app, just a measuring tape.
