My local Value Villages have a senior discount day on Tuesdays. I think they use that day to clean their shelves of old merchandise, because I've found that there isn't much new on the shelves on Tuesdays, but Wednesdays can be phenomenal. So, if your thrift has special discount days, I might consider shopping them the day after.
I'm the same way! I do things some think is "a waste of time", but I don't think it is adding that personal touch of extra care

My local thrift doesn't allow resellers to look at the new racks. I actually have video of them allowing people to look at them and then if they know you're a reseller they threaten to throw you out.
It's not too hard to tell the resellers especially if you go there frequently 😢

@Aliymarmarplus2 I've recently heard that 3 of the employees have booths at the flea market. Also, there's a full time reseller that shops there everyday. He said the employees are constantly offering to set things aside for him for a fee 😡

I also agree with what you said about "in the business of moving things". I'd rather let things go since my cost of goods is low, get these good reviews and then go out shopping for more stuff.
I loved this video. I feel this is very realistic in that we may pick up a few pieces or an armload! For me it's usually a few here and there. I get frustrated when all I see is large hauls meaning 20 to 30 things someone got in one place even the bins near me don't yield that. Also the volume on mic was difficult to understand in your last store. Maybe background noise.
I've never heard of Princess Highway. But the linen in spring and summer may have grabbed me. Also I like the fun bright color prints

Thanks for another great vid! Other than finding no comps, when do you decide whether to check comps on a second platform (ie the Kate Spade silk polka dot shirt you found)? I never think to do that, I just default to Ebay comps.
I very rarely check comps on other platforms. I've developed a small list just from experience over time of brands that seem to do better on poshmark. They are typically higher end brands.

I have only been up and running for a month now what kind of program or software do you recommend for inventory, reporting, info, for taxes at the end of the year? Hello! For a long time I just used my own spreadsheet that I made on Google sheets (free to use). I now have a CPA and I wish I would have done that from the start!

The Mike is great. How far did you have to travel to hit those stores in one day? You must be in a big city or close to one.
I travel at least an hour one way to get to all my sourcing areas.
Do you ever shop mom and pop thrift stores that don’t use tags? I shop a lot of them and there is no way to know what’s new and was wondering if you had suggestions on sourcing at places like these that you go to every week.
Sometimes. In those cases I still cherry pick and look for indicators of quality instead of going through every item.
I found one of those at an estate sale and sold it for $225!!!

It depends on the style and size. Some of them I am selling on Whatnot.
In listings for polos ex: ralph lauren polo with collar and 3 buttons at the top. Should you put “closure” in item specifics, as button or pullover?
I try to think of what the customer would search. I'm guessing they would search pullover.

how do we find out whats trending currently? i know how to look up finds on ebay and find the comps but how can we know overall what's trending?
There are a ton of resources where you can follow trends. One of my favorites is looking at what depop is promoting.
