Our trips home to Seattle always involve a ferry ride where you get the best city and mountain views and yummy clam chowder. That would be my recommendation for your next visit.

Dutch Baby Pancakes (German Pancakes) are super easy to make. I typically serve them with just butter, fresh lemon juice, and powdered sugar, although those fillings looked amazing. Seattle is definitely a favorite city of ours too! Looks like a great time for you two and those strange people with you 😉

I spent 6 months in Bellingham last year, and one of the things I miss this most? Beecher's smoked flagship! My favorite cheese ever. If anyone else out there is missing it and not wanting to pay the $25 for 8 oz to have it shipped, look for smoked Old Croc at your grocery store. It even has the little gritty bits in it. Very close! When they were talking about the cheese I thought "wonder if it's Beechers.." Yay! (It's seriously THAT good)

I was told the gum wall started because of the market theatre. You weren't supposed to chew gum in the theatre and so people would stick their gum on the wall before going in. It just sort of got out of control from there until it became a landmark

In the Netherlands, pancakes are really popular, but they're really thin... unlike your Dutch Baby!.
The syrup (stroop) is something the Dutch eat with savoury and sweet pancakes all the time.

Unsolicited feedback: I like all your food segments, and I like your traveling/hiking/sightseeing segements. But I prefer when you mix them together. This one was almost all food and I would have loved to see more of Seattle. But maybe it's just me.

Yeah, I've noticed that everything that is "Dutch" in the U.S. is really Deutsche. Samething happened with the mispronunciation of Pennsylvania Deitch which became Pennsylvania Dutch when it has nothing to do with The Netherlands but everything to do with a dialect of Deutsche from Deutschland. Sprechen sie Deutsche?
The thing is that Americans at the time had new York Dutch from the former Dutch colony of new Amsterdam and the Dutch and German to a non native speaker sounds alike,duetch and Dutch are very close linguistically Dutch is actually called a low German language
@@bobbyhood101 That's true but good luck telling a German that. They're both Germanic languages but Dutch sounds more like you got a hair ball stuck in your throat while Deutsche tends to not have that phonetic quality.

Lol just like Tina Turmer made the same mistake in the song Private Dancer, she says Dutch Marks but it should've been Deutsch Marks. We never had Marks we had Dutch Guilders. Before the Euro came😂
