From Rwanda,i remember mark Finley in Rwanda twenty years ago,he preached us two weeks in whole country we miss him much more,may creator bless him and protect him
I heard this lesson 3 different ways and heard 6 different messages all thought provoking and encouraging and biblical. I love the Bible and the teachings of the Holy Spirit!

The Romans did not pay the Jews to collect taxes from their fellow Jews. They had to charge more in order to make a living. Matthew was not like other tax collectors who had to pay back with interest when he decided to follow Jesus. Not like Zacchaeus who repaid with interest.

The followers of Jesus dragged 7Demon-possessed Magdalene to the feet of Jesus. And Jesus worked on both the heart & mind of Magdalene and the hearts & minds of men(disciples) who brought her to Jesus. Jesus is a Healer and Helper of His own image (Mankind) Jesus is amazing. Magdalene was dragged to Jesus and the dragging became a blessing to Magdalene and the Teachers of the Law. Magdalene never stopped worshipping the feet of Jesus (Isaiah 52:7) thanking Jesus for coming to us and she never stopped looking for Jesus, she went to the grave to find Jesus😊.
Let's keep acknowledging Jesus, seek Him because those who seek Him have life 🧬 everlasting, thanks to helpers that usher others to Jesus; physically or in prayer

Mark 2:27 (SDAC 5): God did not create man because He had a Sabbath and needed someone to keep it. Rather, an Allwise Creator knew that man, the creature of His hand, needed opportunity for moral and spiritual growth, for character development. He needed time in which his own interests and pursuits should be subordinated to a study of the character and will of God as revealed in nature, and later, in revelation. The seventh-day Sabbath was ordained of God to meet this need. To tamper in any way with the Creator’s specifications as to when and how the day should be observed is tantamount to denying that God knows what is best for the creatures of His hand.

In Exodus 16:23, God gave the injunction to the children of Israelites, "he said to them, “This is what the LORD has commanded: ‘Tomorrow is a day of solemn rest, a holy Sabbath to the LORD; bake what you will bake and boil what you will boil, and all that is left over lay aside to be kept till the morning.’ ” Exodus 16:23. When the children of Israel gathered the Manna, God told them to gather twice the amount on Friday, and He asked them to bake, boil, and do all the preparation with it before the Sabbath. This is an example for us to follow.

Are you shocked or confused?
I don't understand why you don't trust in the scriptures. We are no longer under the Law. We are under Grace. faith, Love, and charity. We are under a new covenant. For the old is void. This means all things that were done under the Law no longer apply. From the Sabbath, baptism, and circumcisions. Why would you still teach the Law?.
The Sabbath is to be observed if you choose to.
Colossians 2:16-19

Stop teaching the Law for we no longer are under it.
Romans 6:14
“For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.”
B5 teaching the Law you are denying Jesus and what he did for all on the day of his sacrifice.
Romans 3:28-31 says otherwise. Also, James 2:14-26 also says the same. There are just as many verses that say this as the ones you listed, so the Bible must be read in its entirety and not just cherry picking verses. The Sabbath was changed by Rome, and we are told to come out of that error. The Sabbath was shown to be so significant because it was observed at creation when God rested from his labor. I would respectively encourage you to look into when and who made the Sabbath change. It was anything but Godly. It was by Rome, and they proudly take ownership of that fact. I am not trying to be rude. I hope that doesn't seem to be the case, but obedience is even talked about in Revelation, and the ones who kept the commandments of God and had the faith of Jesus are mentioned for a reason.
Jesus said, "if you love Me, keep My commandments." John 15:14. The Commandments He refers to is the 10 Commandments (the Law).
Alex, we are indeed saved by grace through faith alone (Ephesians 2:8). The result of being saved is expressed in keeping the law through with the help of Jesus. Notice what Paul says in Romans 3:31 (NKJV) “Do we then make void the law through faith? Certainly not! @@HL365 The Law is instilled in all of us. Yes I agree. But practicing the Law as it was done in the Old Testament it is void. As it is written only through Christ. Not leligions or man's traditions. Many need to understand the old in order to understand the new. For now living in the spirit in faith love and charity. Repenting and letting the holy Spirit lead us, and not lean on our own understanding but his. Religions have so many confused. For God is not the author of confusion but of one mind one accord. One Church.
