"Al-Baghdadi", “Obeid” and "Al-Tikriti" came from Iraq.
"Halabi", "Nashashibi" and "Al-Horani" came from Syria.
"Al-Lubnani" and "Al-Sourani" came from Lebanon.
      "Al-Kurd" from Kurdistan.
"Al-Zarqawi" from Jordan "Othman" from Turkey.
"Al-Hijazi" and “Kabah” from Saudi Arabia.

For some "odd reason" my original comment doesn't appear.
Yes, UN is a terrible thing. First of all, it's a union of states or nations. You know .. these entities that go to war with one another. Secondly it created the state of Israel. For Jews, according to the Nazi regimes understanding of what it means to be Jew. Deeply flawed from the beginning.
Still, from this muddy waters of human weakness, it might be less terrible than so many other things, because it carries somehow a will for good.

    • @gerri577

hamas is simply the governing body in gaza. the have civilian personell that work for hamas, just as any government does. The civilian personel that work for hamas in gaza have been targeted by the idf. Then the idf claims that they were hamas, and they get away with it. The idf does not have the green light to kill civilians. And claiming that every hamas employee is a hamas (they leave out the word "militant") they are guilty never the less of committing war crimes. Some UNRWA empoyees were school teachers. The school teachers in gaza are employed by the hamas government, just as the school teachers in my country are hired by my government, so since they worked for the government of hamas, the idf thinks they can claim that they're hamas and get a pass by the western world to kick UNRWA out of gaza. wow didn't realize i'll right a long story. tldr on the bottom.
i lived in an area where it was mostly resided by palestinians (it's actually called palestine camp). we are a neighboring country of Israel. although we are surrounded by them i never learned about them getting monetary aid outside of an UNRWA school near my high school (natives were not allowed in it, only palestinians. but my school had natives and palestinians too), though i never seen them work a day in their life except a few of them who owned shops, they were living a much better lives and lived in better houses than the average family from my country. i was kind of jealous of my friends when i visited them (i was just a kid with a poor family).
until 2003-4 when iraq war started and we got many refugees from iraq,. i had an iraqi friend, who i later learned he is originally from palestine. and this is the event of how i learned that...
he went to school with me, and one day he came to school angry. i asked him what happened. he tells me he went to the UNRWA office to get his monthly aid "salary" and he only got ~650$ he said he should've gotten more (because his sister weren't living with them anymore. they used to get more before she got married. he only lived with his mom and his brother).
i was shocked. this is when i learned so many things. actually got angry myself but kept it inside. and continued asking him to learn more. because i thought he is rich because he is iraqi and "they are rich and brought their money and cars with them" (they had nice and big cars they were actually complaining because my country has small roads and iraq had bigger roads. kind of like American cars and roads compared to European's). he told me that he is actually palestinian whose family moved to iraq before he was even born. and that his family just like every palestinian family gets a salary from the UNRWA every month. JUST BECAUSE THEY ARE PALESTINIANS AND NO OTHER REASON.
now imagine with me the average palestinian family gets money monthly of an average of 700+$ because they have a lot of children hence more money. and this is repeating in Europe right now by refugees, pumping children to get more aid.
and the average salary of a native family in my country is 150$ a month.
thats 5 times what we earn out of a hard work. they get while they are sitting on their asses being palestinian "refugee", a status they earned by inheritance.
i also now know that my country was accused of discriminating against them by not giving them citizenship. but in fact they don't want it, since they will lose their refugee status, and there would be no free money given to them by UNRWA
tldr: even living amongst palestinians i only learned in high school that palestinian families were given a generous monthly aid "salary" by the UNRWA depending on the number of family members just for being palestinians. since they are considered refugees a status they earned by inheritance. even if the whole family, grandfather, grandmother, father, mother and kids were all born in that country and the person who was originally actually a refugee wasn't even alive anymore.

that's risky. Most ppl know that when israel claims that unrwa has hamas working for them, that indeed hamas is the government of gaza and like every other government, theyy have civil service personnel. So if someone is a teacher in gaza, the work for the government of hamas. Just like if someone is a teacher in the US, the work for the government of the US. Israel claims that UNRWA emplyees work for hamas and so they need to be kicked out. Yes, if they're a civil servant, like a civilian police officer or school teacher, indeed they do work for hamas. What israel isn't saying is that they do not work for Al Qasam. The armed wing of hamas. See how a play on words and using ppl's ignorance about the matter cause the ppl of gaza to begin to enter a full fledged famine? Do you care? I hope so...otherwise, humanity is lost.

I‘m a secular European. I have visited Israel 2-3 times. Spoke with Jews and Arabs. Felt most comfortable among areligious Jews (Hilonim). Not very welcome among Haredi and KippaZruga folks, but mostly I would be neutrally ignored, I would not fear them. But among Arabs: many of them used every opportunity to portray Israel in bad colors, and I experienced some situations where I would fear threatened, and felt the wish to get back into a Jewish area. So this intuitive feeling where I felt safe, was a very good indication to myself also on the macro level.
So to every western person it should be clear that Israel is a state of law, and a civilized country. I cannot imagine how young progressives in the West could ever sympathize with the Islamist cause. And yes, as I see it, the cause for no progress and that death orientation lies in that mainstream Arab/Palestinian politics is not Realpolitik with rationales and readiness for give and take, but uses a religious total approach, which is doomed to fail.
Last but not least: Was worried about Israel’s justice reform moves too, but the strong resistance showed a vigilant population.
So after all: Clear support for Israel. But your PR must improve. Really good work you do for this effort!

    • @janew6574

Everything that's led to this utter disater is not "crazy". If anyone does some reading, outside of what the Israeli government will tell them; they will soon see that the zionist immigration to Falasteen (Palestine was the name that those UK and US colonials "gave" to what was called Falasteen) is the source of these "conflicts".
There are records of historical newspapers from Falasteen, so zionists who deny that the land existed are either not being honest, or have not studied that area. People living in Falasteen did not have a Westminster form of government. However, that form of government is not a prerequisite for being called "human" and it is the height of racism and ethnocentricity to deny the human rights and history of people who do (or did) not practice what zionist colonials might consider "of value". I write that, because I've seen a number of aggressive sounding writers who rudely ask "but where were their Presidents, their "great military figures" ", as though those are the only cultural forms that "count".
The same writers often talk about zionism as "the right to self determination", at the same time as completely denying Palestinian people those rights.
Palestinians did NOT "start wars". Zionists who took land in Palestine "started the "conflicts" ". From what I've learnt; it's racism, greed for desiring others' land and religious bigotry that's been causing the international gaslighting - by zionists.

      • Palestine Remembered website
      • a number of Insta gram accounts, which have posted links to documentaries and historical photos and videos of Falasteen. Search for "Palestine history" or similar hashtags.
      • a number of videos (besides the Balfour Project channel) that document the British in Palestine and Palestine history, can also be found, at You Tube.
I believe that Gazan Universities would have held historical documents and books. However, the IOF has deliberately destroyed many Gazan cultural and religious buildings, in the last six months, which is a war crime. Fortunately, other references are held, outside of Palestine. I believe that an exhibition may be touring, internationally? I will check, as I would like to see any such exhibitions and I know that many other people would also wish to learn more.
It sounds, to me, that ee5787 would benefit from learning more about history, themselves?
I personally believe that nothing will be resolved, in the catastrophe that's affecting even more than "only" Gazan people, by trying to deny that Gazans and Palestinian people have a history, or to deny that this history is in Falasteen (Palestine).
The fact that Judaism, as a religion, originated in the same places, where Islam later grew FROM Judaism, includes the fact that many of today's Muslims, living in that part of the world, have Jewish ancestors.
Also, a significant proportion of Jewish people in Israel have European ancestry. Their ancestors converted to Judaism, centuries ago. Judaism, before the current intensity of "proving territorial rights", has been described by genetic researchers (see Harvard University research) as "diverse". Jewish people converted from other religions, and/or intermarried, in a number of places in our world.
Thus, the long and detailed claims that I've come across are not reasonable, that cite ancient Jewish history, in order to assert any contemporary Jewish person's automatic, "indigenous" land rights, in Palestine.
No government, nor the UN, is going to compel the State of Israel to be disbanded. Despite what protesters in international countries might cry out, I don't even believe that anyone in Gaza is realistically believing that Palestine, at this point, can once more be one multi faith, diverse land. Maybe that will be possible, in the future - by mutual consent of everyone living in that region? However, right now, I believe that Gazans want SAFETY from Israeli citizens and Gazans are OWED the right of self determination and citzenship. They currently have neither of those essential human rights.
Gaza will need the biggest rebuilding project, since WWII. (That's what I've seen estimated, in mainstream news). International help will be required and I believe that international peace keeping teams will be present? (NOT Israeli Occupying Force soldiers - who have been committing war crimes). Gazan people want to stay there, in their land and they are not in any situation to be "forcefully reclaiming Israel". Even Israeli media claims that most Hamas have been killed.
For the essential future ❤️☮️, as well as for Israeli, US and all peoples' RESPONSIBILITY to play their part in the PEACE of our 🌎🌏🌍, I believe that humility is necessary.
I believe that Israel would be far safer, if it (as a State) began to honestly face up to it's role in the violence and oppression that's been ongoing, since it's founding. I have a feeling that this is actually starting to happen, away from the media? I definitely hope so.
Saying "we apologise" and "Please, may we stay in the society that now exists, since many of us were now born here and call this home", would SURELY be infinitely safer, for ALL of us, than killing the natively born people, for decades?

Not really actually in 1917 they are not the ones who came to a land and tried to take it over it was the zionists who came and it was the British who brought them and it was the British who promised Palestinians independence like the rest of the Arab world after the Ottoman Empire fell. So they didn’t start the war from the very beginning but to people who look at history only through the lense of the past few months then yes they started this last war but the war from the very beginning started when Zionist came to take over their land . Even if they were not a country called Palestine they were a region called Palestine and they were promised independence but the British kind of promised the same land to two people ones who lived there already for the past 2000 years and ones who the ancestors of the people who share their same religion lived their before 2000 years ago . Because the British looked at Palestinians as the indigenous people of America simple people not advanced like the colonial empire so they thought we need some Europeans to bridge this cultural gap and protect our interests in the region this why they gave the Zionist the land of their dreams as they requested. So to know really who started the war u need to go on the United Nations website and read Hussein McMahon correspondence and the entire story of this conflict.

      @@survivor458 It is NOT "colonization"!
Jews are an ETHNORELIGIOUS group and originate in ISRAEL.
The land is Israel's as any honest historian or archaeologist will tell you.
It's Israel which was invaded by Muslim armies TWICE: first in the 7thC and then (by the Ottoman Empire) from the 16thC to the early 20thC.
The Ottoman Empire LOST WWI (they were on the side of the beligerent Germans) and, as ALWAYS happens post conflict, the victors decide what happens to the invaded land.
It made sense to discuss the possibility of Israel having the right to their own land again and this idea was cemented post WWII for obvious reasons (the Jews had been killed in huge numbers and betrayed all over Europe: where would you have suggested they went??)

That is interesting about ridiculous things and getting used to them As someone who is not Israeli but has been a tour guide in Australasia and have met and hiked with many young Israelis striaght out of military service it is striking how narrow their world view is!! For example I was often asked if the Maori of New Zealand were going to rise up and overthrow the government of NZ!! This made me chuckle as most of my relatives are of mixed Maori/European descent and indeed most Maori are of European heritage Also being told of Israel being surrounded by "hostiles" WTF? This concerned me greatly what was ingrained in these young adults Then looking at my own country where you can date anyone you want, be mates with anyone you, and no one gives a fuck.
