This was actually super helpful information . I’ve been thinking about investing in the 1/2 drive impact and my worry was actually that the Dewalt didn’t have as much power as the Milwaukee version . I’ve had all Dewalt tools up until this point and I didn’t want to have to change over to Milwaukee over one tool due to power restrictions . Thank you for all of your input on both tools and I appreciated the side by side comparison along with a little bit of insight on the actual specs on both tools .
i changed like 1/2 way to milwaukee like 3 years ago i still have some dewalts but mostly milwaukee and im thinking about going back to dewalt because my milwaukee is starting to have issues just after 3 years when my dewalts are going flawlessly for like 10 year old tools im just not impressed that my impact is fucked up after only 3 years, kinda wanna put the dewalt to the test and see how long it lasts 😂
Im in the same boat. I have all dewalt tools. I have 9AH batteries. I drive yruck and haul bulk product in my hopper bottom trailer. I can blow the trailer out 10 times before needing to charge the battery. I want an impact wrench for out on the road. 8m going with the Dewalt. They are virtually the same price and if dewalt is a little stronger its a no brainer for me.
Glad to see Dewalt finally step up and introduce a High Torque Impact Wrench worthy of challenging the Milwaukee Beast! Crazy what kind of technology these companies are bringing to market in cordless tools. Either way, we the consumer reap the rewards!

This newer dcf900 crushes everyone and Dewalt won’t make another model for another 7 yrs, because Dewalt actually has a R and D team that make tools that last on a top level for that long and don’t need a new generation of tools every year like Milwaukee does

The DCF900 has a heavier hammer, hence the extra vibration. The Milwaukee has lighter hammers but a faster motor. For actual torque, the 900 will outperform the the 2863 every time, and as it's actually the maximum amount of torque possible you want from a tool such as this, it makes no sense to buy the Milwaukee unless you already have batteries and a charger for Milwaukee tools. Simple as that!
@@ChrisPatrick-q6k None that I know of, all parts are replaceable anyway should you ever encounter a problem. The DCF961 is available now, even greater torque!!! Not that I've found anything that the 900 can't undo yet! 😁

@@ChrisPatrick-q6k Yeah, the extra punch the 900 has is noticeable, and like you say, for the price it makes more sense. There's only one little issue I think I could mention with the 900. It has a more advanced battery management system, the downside is when you use the tool in very cold (sub zero) conditions it can cut out. The idea is that it can save the battery from getting damaged. This means you have to keep it somewhere warm before going outside, or warm it up occasionally while on site. The older 899 doesn't have this feature so would be better suited to use outside in winter. I'm not sure if the 926 is any better, maybe someone else might be able to help?
That's dewalts second gen same as the Milwaukee, the dewalt gen1 was better than the Milwaukee gen1 and the dewalt gen 2 is better than Milwaukee gen 2
@@loucifer4205yeah I've used both DeWalt shakes like a mother and feels like it's gonna fall apart my grandpa's 1/2 fuel made it 4 years of constant use and abuse it's been thrown around left outside in the snow and everything in between Milwaukee sent him a brand new one.

@@AlleyAutoChicago not really true, the vibration is the fault of the shitty chrome adapter. The Dewalt is making 200 more Ftlbs than the Milwaukee, thus amplifying the vibration caused by the crappy adapter. The Milwaukee vibrated too just less, because it’s making much less power.

But how do you account for extra 200ft lbs and still not blowing the lesser vibrating unit away when removing those truck lugs? I feel like an on-screen timer would have been a nice touch of "lab testing" but in the "real world". Not nice to bash other channels for being scientific but that's more of a comment for the poster.
@@AlleyAutoChicago because that power is being absorbed by the crappy adapter causing high amounts of vibration, but yes obviously not scientific and both are good tools, I just think it’s unfair to knock the Dewalt for more vibration without acknowledging the much higher torque and rpm. And wasn’t he using the same rim in both tests? I couldn’t tell but if he re-torqued the lugs after the Dewalt broke them loose then the Milwaukee would have a huge advantage, as the Dewalt would have had to break the original rust.
the digital button panel on the dcf900 is why i just bought a dcf899 instead ... he last thing you want with greasy hands and around oils is a circuitboard let alone the vibrations it will get over its life ... i see it as a more likely failure point over he dcf899 with a large slide for the settings
I'm 5'4" and around 155 pounds and the DeWalt dcf900 feels great when I use it. Lots of power and I'm using the DeWalt deep socket SAE set. So far so good and I took off a tire on a 550 like nothing
Great channel… torque test channel shows the Significant difference between the two . The dewalt not only is far superior to the Milwaukee but also to every other cordless impact wrench. What we need is a tool to get the job done and the dewalt can loosen bolts that the Milwaukee can’t . We don’t care if it’s smooth, just get it done. As a builder, on cape cod, with a 26 man framing crew. our machines are outside every day, Boom Lifts and Lulls. We do are own repairs, you can’t wait for a CAT repair man and have the machine down. Milwaukee makes some great tools for plumbing, hvac and sawzalls. If your a real framer, not a Milwaukee sponsored YT channel framer, your not using Milwaukee cordless tools to build custom homes or commercially.

@@jimmywarren6685 this dcf900 has 200+ MORE FTLBS over the Milwaukee high torque. Tested not just advertised. Also the mid torq dewalt has almost 300 ftlbs over the lill red. Milwaukee used to be top dog , so every one got em. But now not just dewalt beats em in power , snap on , matco , makita . hell even the new harbor freight impact matches the Milwaukee high torque specs. They are getting passed by everyone in the past year. Dont look up the torque test channel on here. Because every dewalt vs Milwaukee test in the past 8 months has not went the way you think.

I'm always having trouble with Milwaukee cutting out and then I have to take off the battery and pull the trigger a couple times and I put the battery back on and it will run again and with DeWalt I never have that problem
I had that same problem with the M12 tools the battery led would blink when I cuts out. It’s like it has an overload protection. I went back to dewalt I just have better luck with them.

This sort of real word use stuff is exactly what you want when buying these sorts of high torque impacts. Its all great knowing the dewalt gives you an extra 100lb/ft of nut busting torque in a perfect lab setting, but when you are undoing wheel nuts and suspension bolts on the daily, the Milwaukee is that little bit easier on the hands, which the lab tests just don't tell you about. I want to start a project and I need a beast that is up to the task. I have a dewalt 3/8 and it is fantastic for screws and small bolts. I also have a milwaikee 12 that I use to carry it around as a toy. But today I am convinced that Dewalt is the beast that I am looking for. I want to feel the vibration in my arms. It's obvious that Dewalt doesn't have a comparison. I have friends who work in construction and they assure me that if I want reliability, go for a Dewalt. Thanks for the video
I'm here watching this while taking a break from working on a F150 rear suspension using my M12 Stubby 🤣💪. I'm lucky enough not to have to deal with rust in SoCal so most vehicle fasteners I come across are not too bad. I own both the M18 and Ridgid Octane High Torque impacts, but I hardly ever use them. The Dewalt is a beast for sure, but I'm pretty sure all that vibration will kinda suck for those who need to run one all day. Both are great to have regardless if you do come across stubborn fasteners or need to use a super long extension to break free a hard to reach bolt.
My 5yr old milwaukee finally ate the bearing so im switching to dewalt. The biggest issue ive had with the m18 line is all the batteries vibrate themselves to death in a couple months of hard use. Now they disconnect when taking simple lug nuts off. Dewalt has a better battery vibration system.
My First Gen 1/2 in detent High Torgue Milwaukee purchased in 2015 can still take off Honda crank bolts......it won't break down. I've been wanting the 2nd gen, but I will only upgrade when the first one breaks. The Dewalt is powerful, but I don't want to switch platforms. Great review.
Don't buy the new Milwaukee 1/2 they are scrambling trying to fix it's problems and they make the same power anyway. They removed a bearing in the new model and it has pins pressed into it. But they are shearing off sometimes in the first use.
Something interesting, I work telecom and the Milwaukee M18 batteries will get killed by the rf when passed in front of an antenna. The only way to bring the battery back to life is to put it on the charger for a second, then it will work again.
I'm disappointed in my 900, i tried assembling a bed frame i bought from Walmart and it snaps everything i use it for. Plus i did the lugs on my brother's electric rc car and now i owe him a new one.

@@mariuszmaxankazuya3170 even the 891 had to much torque for half of the stuff I use it for. But what screwed me on the wheel bearing was I needed extensions and elbows. If it wasn't for the extensions It would have had more than enough torque. The 900 is over kill but now with the 900 if I need extensions I'll still have enough torque.
I love Milwaukee but I'm a year into upfitting and mechanicing on heavy machines. After seeing what the shop Milwaukee stuff has done after years of abuse. I'm gunna try DeWalt. Bc they seem about dead even in what really matters. So maybe the DeWalt battery will stay intact a little longer. They also have a nice smaller impact rated for 400 ft lbs. We shall see

If that's the new Milwaukee alot of them are breaking very quickly because of some internal changes that cause the tool to break. Bottom line pins shears off and that's the driving force from the motor.

The dewalt dcf900 is definitely the more powerful but it's 650quid in the UK when you can get the milwaukee hi torque for 330, just that reason alone made me go milwaukee
Are the Milwaukee’s still breaking after a couple uses? Fact, I’m a remodeling contractor, I use what works, I have at least 2 tools of almost every brand, my knack box has a half dozen broken Milwaukee tools lying at the bottom of it and my dewalt tools are all in the top layer of the box because they keep on working, just an observation
Weird. My DCF899 (which has the old style selector switch) is extremely smooth, to the point that I was both extremely surprised and happy about it. I bought it to remove rusted on lugs (good ol Michigan) at my in-laws house, and I honestly thought there was something wrong with the battery with how slow it free spun at the highest speed setting. Put a impact socket on it, and it gave me almost no feedback breaking the nut loose. I wonder if the new DCF900 has more vibration that accompanies the 200 lb-ft more of max breakaway torque over the DCF899...
Had a Dewalt 891B model went out in 2 months, so I went to Home Depot and exchanged it for another one. The 2nd one lasted 3 1/2 months, but it went out too! I don't know, so far, I'm disappointed with the Dewalt product. My co-worker has the same brand model & according to him, has never broken down. He says I'm too rough with the 1/2 inch drive electric impact guns. What the heck! That's what heavy duty electric impacts are supposed to do withstand the abuse! I'm going to try a Milwaukee brand. If that goes out too, then I know I'm the problem, lol! Lol😅
Dewalt sacrifices a lot to get these sky high torque number. Comfort, reliability ... something got to give. For ordinary folk, dont stick to any brand, just get the best deal.
We're to the point where the power no longer fits the form factor. DeWalt should have gone to a larger anvil and possibly provided an auxiliary handle, like what is used on hammer drills.
You need the size of the dcf900 and 1/2” is widely used on many other applications without having to carry around another set of 3/4” sockets and tools
I use my left hand on the battery for leverage and damping no mater what the tool, handles are for rooks, ok maybe on my holehawg and mini Bosch chipping hammer there’s handles, but that’s all
Truck lugs are 33MM, not 1 5/16" and finding a half inch is easy as hell, you're killing youself with all that adapter and improper socket. OLD truck lugs were 1 1/2" with a 13/16 square drive inside with the metric variants being 41mm and 21mm square respectively. there was also a brief period of 1 1/2" hub centric lugs and you'll find some 35mms scattered about, 36mm if you play with Komatsus... but yeah, almost every modern truck lug is 33MM
I got a 1/2in drive 33mm socket that i run my dcf900 with on truck lugs. I assure you , the adapter is killing this test for both impacts. And thats why there is so much vibration from the dewalt, the slack in the adapter is whats causing it. Watch the 2 videos i got up on my channel doin truck lugs with it.
No kidding, the adapter makes it suck, but even in your video the impact still hits hard and vibrates. Both impacts are great, but the Milwaukee is smoother. Do a video and put them side by side. Also, I have no clue what the lugs on my truck were installed at, so how can we compare apples to apples here.

I have 2 videos on it , 1 of it going behind the Milwaukee 1in drive d handle and another on a truck thats been sitting for a few years with rusty lugs. Nether is very scientific as i do not know what the breakaway torq would be in these . If i had a good Milwaukee 1/2in gun to compare to i would. I will be doing some air impacts vs this dewalt though very soon

I'll be putting the dewalt to the test tonight on a very stuck honda crank bolt. That will be the ultimate test. I've tried a weighted socket on an IR air impact and cant budge it. Will throw the Pilot in the pond if it doesnt work😂
Milwalkee was not only smoother, but removed the high torqued bolts on a semi noticeably faster. I'd say if you are removing things that have a high torqe spec faster than the competition, that means your more powerful, but what do i know.
I work on semi’s everyday of the week. Chances are if the Milwaukee doesn’t break it loose you’re going to need more than another 50-100 lbs of break away unless it’s it perfect situation
you wouldnt use either of these tools on a semi truck are you out of your mind? you use torque converters for those, not impact guns. this is made for automotive use, not heavy machinery.
The problem with DeWalt is they are always changing things, batteries, design, etc etc. Where Milwaukee got it down packed with their formula of simplicity. No battery adapters, M12 & M18 batteries has been around for YEARS, none of this BS that DeWalt puts out. As a mechanic, Milwaukee products targets all forms of careers that you are in. Hell I even bought a scope from Milwaukee to check the cylinder walls on car engines. The reliability of Milwaukee tools is what I depend on, knowing when I pick up that tool it's going to work. I had DeWalt in the pass and my buddy got me into Milwaukee, I couldn't be happier with the power and performance Milwaukee puts out 💪🏻
when Milwaukee went to lithium ion they abandoned their old tools. DeWalt made an adapter and for all their old lineup and all the tools are still useable with the new batteries. DeWalt is actually much better in this regard.
@@wsmcook I had a adapter on my old DeWalt 1/2 impact it was a little better but not as powerful as the new tools today. So I get why Milwaukee ditched their old line to start fresh with the new and up and coming tech.
Milwaukee high torque been out for what 4-5 years now and always gets the job done, yes Dewalts new high torque is more powerful but does it really matter if Milwaukee can losing the same rusty bolts maybe a little slower but still gets the job done, I been a mechanic by trade for 26 years now been using the Milwaukee high torque since it was released and never had bolt that it couldn't losing doing it smoother and not having to use a jack hammer as an impact wrench.
It beats the milwaukee. Just because it is discontinued does not make it irrelevant. Id bet it is still sought after in the used market. Im assuming we are talking about the octane high torque.
Been running dewalt crap for 14 years or so. Went with them after seeing smoke pouring out of one of their 18v drills when it was a shop tool back in the day. Noticed since government and industry runs dirty ol dewalt too. Cut me I bleed yellow 😂

i messed my milwaukee up with truck tires i dont know if it has broken anvil or hammer or what but it lost some of its power after a few tires and i had to go back to my 1” air gun i only use my milwaukee on automotive now 😂
Milwaukee has 2100ipm and 1750rpm while DCF900 has 2200ipm and 2300rpm🧐 and the dewalt is definitely not smooth but with that terrible loose adapter there's too much room for jumping and movement
You see the dewalt moving more because of the battery isolation area they have. The battery moves more but has less vibration allowing the pack to last longer. It is more of a shake than a more violent vibration.

I can trust that the Milwaukee will work and hit just as hard and the batteries will most likely still hold good charge 3 years from now. I can’t say the same for the dewalt.
I have had great luck with batteries, but if you watch Torque Test Channel test out the dual battery Milwaukee blower, he finds out one of his 12Ah batteries is bad. That battery is only used on impact wrench runs. It did not last long. Could be a fluke. IMHO, none of these batteries will last long if used on an impact all the time.

@@ChrisPatrick-q6k Yeah, the extra punch the 900 has is noticeable, and like you say, for the price it makes more sense. There's only one little issue I think I could mention with the 900. It has a more advanced battery management system, the downside is when you use the tool in very cold (sub zero) conditions it can cut out. The idea is that it can save the battery from getting damaged. This means you have to keep it somewhere warm before going outside, or warm it up occasionally while on site. The older 899 doesn't have this feature so would be better suited to use outside in winter. I'm not sure if the 926 is any better, maybe someone else might be able to help?

That's dewalts second gen same as the Milwaukee, the dewalt gen1 was better than the Milwaukee gen1 and the dewalt gen 2 is better than Milwaukee gen 2

Possible. I can say that it was much easier to hold without it boucing around in the adapter after the dewalt made the square a bit larger.

And wasn’t he using the same rim in both tests? I couldn’t tell but if he re-torqued the lugs after the Dewalt broke them loose then the Milwaukee would have a huge advantage, as the Dewalt would have had to break the original rust.
One thing I like is that dewalt gives the head a slight angle so the battery is given more clearance from the work your doing.

the digital button panel on the dcf900 is why i just bought a dcf899 instead ... he last thing you want with greasy hands and around oils is a circuitboard let alone the vibrations it will get over its life ... i see it as a more likely failure point over he dcf899 with a large slide for the settings

I'm 5'4" and around 155 pounds and the DeWalt dcf900 feels great when I use it. Lots of power and I'm using the DeWalt deep socket SAE set. So far so good and I took off a tire on a 550 like nothing
Great channel… torque test channel shows the Significant difference between the two . The dewalt not only is far superior to the Milwaukee but also to every other cordless impact wrench.
What we need is a tool to get the job done and the dewalt can loosen bolts that the Milwaukee can’t . We don’t care if it’s smooth, just get it done.
As a builder, on cape cod, with a 26 man framing crew. our machines are outside every day, Boom Lifts and Lulls. We do are own repairs, you can’t wait for a CAT repair man and have the machine down.
Milwaukee makes some great tools for plumbing, hvac and sawzalls. If your a real framer, not a Milwaukee sponsored YT channel framer, your not using Milwaukee cordless tools to build custom homes or commercially.

I'm always having trouble with Milwaukee cutting out and then I have to take off the battery and pull the trigger a couple times and I put the battery back on and it will run again and with DeWalt I never have that problem

I had that same problem with the M12 tools the battery led would blink when I cuts out. It’s like it has an overload protection. I went back to dewalt I just have better luck with them.

Great videos of you at a choice between the DCF 900 and DCF 891. What would you personally buy
This sort of real word use stuff is exactly what you want when buying these sorts of high torque impacts. Its all great knowing the dewalt gives you an extra 100lb/ft of nut busting torque in a perfect lab setting, but when you are undoing wheel nuts and suspension bolts on the daily, the Milwaukee is that little bit easier on the hands, which the lab tests just don't tell you about.

I want to start a project and I need a beast that is up to the task. I have a dewalt 3/8 and it is fantastic for screws and small bolts. I also have a milwaikee 12 that I use to carry it around as a toy. But today I am convinced that Dewalt is the beast that I am looking for. I want to feel the vibration in my arms. It's obvious that Dewalt doesn't have a comparison. I have friends who work in construction and they assure me that if I want reliability, go for a Dewalt. Thanks for the video
I'm here watching this while taking a break from working on a F150 rear suspension using my M12 Stubby 🤣💪. I'm lucky enough not to have to deal with rust in SoCal so most vehicle fasteners I come across are not too bad. I own both the M18 and Ridgid Octane High Torque impacts, but I hardly ever use them. The Dewalt is a beast for sure, but I'm pretty sure all that vibration will kinda suck for those who need to run one all day. Both are great to have regardless if you do come across stubborn fasteners or need to use a super long extension to break free a hard to reach bolt.
My 5yr old milwaukee finally ate the bearing so im switching to dewalt. The biggest issue ive had with the m18 line is all the batteries vibrate themselves to death in a couple months of hard use. Now they disconnect when taking simple lug nuts off. Dewalt has a better battery vibration system.

My First Gen 1/2 in detent High Torgue Milwaukee purchased in 2015 can still take off Honda crank bolts......it won't break down. I've been wanting the 2nd gen, but I will only upgrade when the first one breaks. The Dewalt is powerful, but I don't want to switch platforms. Great review.
Don't buy the new Milwaukee 1/2 they are scrambling trying to fix it's problems and they make the same power anyway. They removed a bearing in the new model and it has pins pressed into it. But they are shearing off sometimes in the first use.
What about the HarborFreight ultra torque? how do you think that would do?
Something interesting, I work telecom and the Milwaukee M18 batteries will get killed by the rf when passed in front of an antenna. The only way to bring the battery back to life is to put it on the charger for a second, then it will work again.
I'm disappointed in my 900, i tried assembling a bed frame i bought from Walmart and it snaps everything i use it for. Plus i did the lugs on my brother's electric rc car and now i owe him a new one.

@@mariuszmaxankazuya3170 even the 891 had to much torque for half of the stuff I use it for. But what screwed me on the wheel bearing was I needed extensions and elbows. If it wasn't for the extensions It would have had more than enough torque. The 900 is over kill but now with the 900 if I need extensions I'll still have enough torque.

I love Milwaukee but I'm a year into upfitting and mechanicing on heavy machines. After seeing what the shop Milwaukee stuff has done after years of abuse. I'm gunna try DeWalt. Bc they seem about dead even in what really matters. So maybe the DeWalt battery will stay intact a little longer. They also have a nice smaller impact rated for 400 ft lbs. We shall see

Please do it again with a half in socket. No need for adaptors. Also use a 60 volt 6 or 9amp hour battery.
A FlexVolt battery in a non-FlexVolt tool still runs at 20 volts, so that would not make any difference.

I tried a DeWalt on a Honda harmonic balancer bolt, and it did nothing. The Milwaukee broke it loose. That DeWalt vibration is awful as well.

Fact, I’m a remodeling contractor, I use what works, I have at least 2 tools of almost every brand, my knack box has a half dozen broken Milwaukee tools lying at the bottom of it and my dewalt tools are all in the top layer of the box because they keep on working, just an observation

Weird. My DCF899 (which has the old style selector switch) is extremely smooth, to the point that I was both extremely surprised and happy about it. I bought it to remove rusted on lugs (good ol Michigan) at my in-laws house, and I honestly thought there was something wrong with the battery with how slow it free spun at the highest speed setting. Put a impact socket on it, and it gave me almost no feedback breaking the nut loose. I wonder if the new DCF900 has more vibration that accompanies the 200 lb-ft more of max breakaway torque over the DCF899...

Had a Dewalt 891B model went out in 2 months, so I went to Home Depot and exchanged it for another one. The 2nd one lasted 3 1/2 months, but it went out too! I don't know, so far, I'm disappointed with the Dewalt product. My co-worker has the same brand model & according to him, has never broken down. He says I'm too rough with the 1/2 inch drive electric impact guns. What the heck! That's what heavy duty electric impacts are supposed to do withstand the abuse! I'm going to try a Milwaukee brand. If that goes out too, then I know I'm the problem, lol! Lol😅
Dewalt sacrifices a lot to get these sky high torque number. Comfort, reliability ... something got to give. For ordinary folk, dont stick to any brand, just get the best deal.
We're to the point where the power no longer fits the form factor. DeWalt should have gone to a larger anvil and possibly provided an auxiliary handle, like what is used on hammer drills.
You need the size of the dcf900 and 1/2” is widely used on many other applications without having to carry around another set of 3/4” sockets and tools
I use my left hand on the battery for leverage and damping no mater what the tool, handles are for rooks, ok maybe on my holehawg and mini Bosch chipping hammer there’s handles, but that’s all

Truck lugs are 33MM, not 1 5/16" and finding a half inch is easy as hell, you're killing youself with all that adapter and improper socket. OLD truck lugs were 1 1/2" with a 13/16 square drive inside with the metric variants being 41mm and 21mm square respectively. there was also a brief period of 1 1/2" hub centric lugs and you'll find some 35mms scattered about, 36mm if you play with Komatsus... but yeah, almost every modern truck lug is 33MM

I just bought the DCF900.....Im not a Milwaukee guy....that fan boy attraction is what drives me away from them.
I got a 1/2in drive 33mm socket that i run my dcf900 with on truck lugs. I assure you , the adapter is killing this test for both impacts. And thats why there is so much vibration from the dewalt, the slack in the adapter is whats causing it. Watch the 2 videos i got up on my channel doin truck lugs with it.
No kidding, the adapter makes it suck, but even in your video the impact still hits hard and vibrates. Both impacts are great, but the Milwaukee is smoother. Do a video and put them side by side. Also, I have no clue what the lugs on my truck were installed at, so how can we compare apples to apples here.

Milwalkee was not only smoother, but removed the high torqued bolts on a semi noticeably faster. I'd say if you are removing things that have a high torqe spec faster than the competition, that means your more powerful, but what do i know.
I work on semi’s everyday of the week. Chances are if the Milwaukee doesn’t break it loose you’re going to need more than another 50-100 lbs of break away unless it’s it perfect situation
you wouldnt use either of these tools on a semi truck are you out of your mind? you use torque converters for those, not impact guns.
this is made for automotive use, not heavy machinery.

The problem with DeWalt is they are always changing things, batteries, design, etc etc. Where Milwaukee got it down packed with their formula of simplicity. No battery adapters, M12 & M18 batteries has been around for YEARS, none of this BS that DeWalt puts out. As a mechanic, Milwaukee products targets all forms of careers that you are in. Hell I even bought a scope from Milwaukee to check the cylinder walls on car engines. The reliability of Milwaukee tools is what I depend on, knowing when I pick up that tool it's going to work. I had DeWalt in the pass and my buddy got me into Milwaukee, I couldn't be happier with the power and performance Milwaukee puts out 💪🏻
when Milwaukee went to lithium ion they abandoned their old tools. DeWalt made an adapter and for all their old lineup and all the tools are still useable with the new batteries. DeWalt is actually much better in this regard.

Milwaukee high torque been out for what 4-5 years now and always gets the job done, yes Dewalts new high torque is more powerful but does it really matter if Milwaukee can losing the same rusty bolts maybe a little slower but still gets the job done, I been a mechanic by trade for 26 years now been using the Milwaukee high torque since it was released and never had bolt that it couldn't losing doing it smoother and not having to use a jack hammer as an impact wrench.

i messed my milwaukee up with truck tires i dont know if it has broken anvil or hammer or what but it lost some of its power after a few tires and i had to go back to my 1” air gun i only use my milwaukee on automotive now 😂

Milwaukee has 2100ipm and 1750rpm while DCF900 has 2200ipm and 2300rpm🧐 and the dewalt is definitely not smooth but with that terrible loose adapter there's too much room for jumping and movement

As Milwaukees almost always need to be taped on after a while or the tool won't work
You see the dewalt moving more because of the battery isolation area they have. The battery moves more but has less vibration allowing the pack to last longer. It is more of a shake than a more violent vibration.

I can trust that the Milwaukee will work and hit just as hard and the batteries will most likely still hold good charge 3 years from now. I can’t say the same for the dewalt.
I have had great luck with batteries, but if you watch Torque Test Channel test out the dual battery Milwaukee blower, he finds out one of his 12Ah batteries is bad. That battery is only used on impact wrench runs. It did not last long. Could be a fluke. IMHO, none of these batteries will last long if used on an impact all the time.
Project Farm tested the batteries. DeWalt consistently has better batteries.
I have dewalt 20v batteries from 5-6 years ago still running great today. Dates are etched on top from the factory.
Always ran on impacts an drivers.
