Les the canoe tripper, I so want to see more of this. Saw Wabikimi with Logan which was awesome but crave more. Love seeing that organized garage, labelled bins and all. Organizational skills are an underrated quality in a backcountry tripper.
Hello everyone ... Cool -- another Les Stroud video premiere !!! I love the Bigfoot video a few weeks ago. I watched both Bigfoot premieres on here, and I was sure happy -- as Les is doing some real investigations. Les is sure making the days of staying home more during the Pandemic -- liveable, enjoyable, and not as difficult. Thank you Les for doing that ... World has enough Troubles & Sorrows now.
I've enjoyed all your shows over the years entertaining and educational . Have been canoe camping for over 40 yrs, earlier on my wife started doing pretty much what you have shown in this video ([now of course I have tell her how right she was ;) ] . She also use to make her own beef jerky in the oven way better than any store bought . Altho I do still love the odd beans and wiener meal .
Much appreciated mr Stroud! Well noted. Looking forward to tomorrows video. 😁 Sincerely wish you and everyone involved, best of luck & success for all projects and the future
This is awesome information about food. I never gave much thought on dehydrated food. Wow! You pack some awesome meals Les! I'm going to have to try this out. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and sweet information!
I do it the same way for canoe trips or thru hikes except I will put individual meals in Quart bags and then put them in a gallon vacuum seal bag along with snacks for the day and seal it.
Wow that dehydrator is a great idea! But man that is a lot of work but certainly worth it. This is a great idea for future homemade “MRE”s. Thanks for this tip. Some really great tips. I love how you are all about the fine-dining bare necessities of the wild. 😂
Yes, I miss Dual Survival. I liked Dave too. Remember Dave from Season 1 (maybe S2 also?). Cody & him sure had good chemistry. I miss that damned show.
Great vid. I'd like to see what gear you pack to prepare that stir fry. Anyone can dehydrate, but how do you put it all together to make that meal? Are you packing a frypan? What stove are you using?

Wow, short and sweet. I wish my Manager's meetings were like this. He he he ...
I think my canoe trips just got better. Thank you Les. Smiling, George.
I like the idea of putting the food into the drum in chronological order. I always learn something from even your shortest videos.

I love using my dehydrator for meal prep. Makes meals on the trail so much easier and lightweight.
I was not notified by TH-cam about this video! I will enjoy this series alot, please keep them coming

Yo! Freak. You rock. I live on Vancouver Island. I miss the French River so much. Spent a lot of my life there.

Great tips for canoe camping. I really like the last tip -- a box of wine.
Fondue is now on my menu!! You are the best!

Hi Les. You are my hero.
I'm off to buy a dehydrator ... a barrel and a canoe! Good stuff...Thanks Les!
Love you les
Great advice.. Now scale it down for bikepacking or backpacking.
Dang! You just made a canoe trip sound like the most romantic date I never been on. 😂
Very helpful info, thanks les.
Stellar content, one request not so many cuts, stay on one cam shot longer. Keep up the vids 👍

What's your dehydrator type and you should have an episode of making some of your dehydrated menu
Just FYI, most dehydrators are a halogen light bulb and a fan. Make your own.
So what do you do with the barrel when you getting firewood or hiking does it go in the trees?
I imagine the trip i am planning will take about a month, maybe more.
6 months I prepared for the Missouri.
1:25 "because the days of eating Beans out over the fire are long gone" ...
Really? My best rememberances were of trips that didn't go to plan ...
Did his dog film a few of these shots haha
We had 75 pounds of dry goods and jerky.
Also a great way to smuggle weed! Thanks Les, see ya on the other side of the border!!
never carry water unless ur in a desert
How cool would it be if he liked this comment
Nice try lol
I thought a real survivor man would only pack 1 meal a day and hunt/fish/forage for the rest?
