Great Video. I worked on a A100 this week where I had to replace 2 filter caps in the Leslie. Also had problems with key frequencies where the entire organ was missing good tone. It turned out to be the pre-amp tubes. I cleaned and reseated the pre-amp tubes. That fixed the problem. Another problem that helped destroy the filter caps was a loose volume pedal. It would just drop open to full volume and blast the Leslie.
Thanks....didn't know where the shifting screws were. I'm working on my 51yo B3, on the key combs right now...fluffing them out a little with a curved forecep. Seems to work...we'll see for how long. Keep up the good work! -Bill
I've got an m3 and the problem is consistent on both manuals for the same keys.. I've tried adjusting the busbar but it gave no results.. The tone generator is fine because I ran alligator clips from the fundamental drawbar to the problem frequencies... Can you post a video about removing and cleaning these rods?
How do you get the busbar rods out to clean them - I haven't been able to find anything much on the internet - certainly not a step-by-step video. As far as I know, you have to left up the manuals - do you have to de-solder stuff to remove things out of the way ? Thanks
my F & F# bass pedals are much lower than the rest actually from the E F F# anything above and below is Louder. I tried this and nothing has worked so far.
Loose connection possibly but with this model you might want to contact your tech. If you need a tech send an email to B3buyer@aol.com and advise your location. The loose connection might even be in your Leslie where the 15 inch speaker is located. If there is a bad connection to the 15 inch speaker, caused by vibrations, this could be a simple fix. It may not have anything at all to do with your drawbars but they would not sound if the speaker has a loose connection. You might also consider this a good time to trade in toward a B3 with tone wheel generator. All of the XB-3 organs that we have had in stock have been trade ins toward the vintage B3 model. Man!!!! YOU know this instrument inside and out...To the "snakeship81" for bus bar rods...removing the rods is extremely delicate and can turn into disaster!!!! Hope shifting gets your organ working again. Involves removing the manuals from the cabinet and extreme care to clean!! there is a video here showing what to do but doesn't show how to remove manuals.
Really helpful on an A100 project. All sounds are back and full. Thanks very much.

You might want to mention about what position to put the presets in. In other word No Presets pushed in.
Yep… key detail I really wish they (or the service manual) mentioned!!
