Nice video you have made! I have just ordered this knife and I'm waiting for it to arrive. I just want to point out though that when I see you using your Silky saw, it seems that you are using to much pressure on the forward stroke. You should only apply pressure on the pulling stroke and also begin the cut with a pulling stroke. I have used my Silky Super Accel 21, among other Silky saws, in my work for pruning trees for more than 20 years now and the only times I feel it is useful to use the second setting of the blade is when cutting a limb from the underside, because when using it normally from above in that setting it doesn't bite as aggressive as it can. They are truly the best saws you can buy. Keep up the good work!
Thanks man. Yes it's a great knife for the money. True about the silky I know how to do but takes some praktis to get ther. Trying to not put pressure on the fordward only on the pull. Thanks man tu pointing it out and thanks for watching.
Hi DG Outdoor Life. I really like those pants you are wearing. What kind of pants are those (type, brand and model) and where can I find them. Thanks in advance. Have a great day. BTW, You gave a great review on the 140 and I appreciate the time and effort you put into it..
The 140 seems to be a perfect size, I know most people like the 150 but for me the extra edge is a big benefit for batoning and small chopping. Also I already have plenty of 4 inch blades like my Garberg so the 140 would be a great addition.....at least thats how I make an excuse for buying another knife😅😁 Now if I can get one before they sale out next time ....I gotta get the credit card figured out cause it won't except mine.
I know this is a really old thread ha but i also had issues with the site and just had to call my bank to get the purchase approved. They’re not selling out instantly anymore like when I first discovered this knife so I just placed an order with them. Can’t wait to get my new knives
Thanks. All depends on if you like a bit longer blade. Its 140mm vs 110mm. Personally I like blades that's around 13cm so for me I prefer the 140. Play around with 2 knives one 110mm and one 140mm if you have. Take the one you think is right for your needs. 😉
@@DGOutdoorLife I do think that my Mora often comes up short. And I did love my Esee 6.. (until I had to sell it) 😭 I think my choice is made. 140 it is!
Nice demo for the knife man. Subbed. I'm looking for a 'one tool option' to avoid me having to take an hatchet. Would you recommend this for that? Greetings from Scotland 👍 🔥 👍
Great video 👍. Are you using fat wood?. To me it looks like it is. I own the Puukko knife the 110. It's a great knife. It's my EDC gear knife. I just ordered the sheath for it a fire starter with it. I am very stoked on getting both of them. Great video's.
Great review of the jakkari puukko knife. Thanks
Endlich mal einer der richtig batonen kann. Den meisten Experten fliegen die Hölzer davon. ❤❤
I like your styles. Simple and to the point. You have beautiful forests to camp and play in. Very lucky man.
Thanks 😉
Great video! You show how to do without useless blabla! I think this knife will be my next buy! Cheers!
Dan Ney thanx
I always wished Mora made the garberg with a longer blade..... Think I found what I'm looking for here.
Already bought?
The Mora Bushcraft Pathfinder is pretty darned good even thought it is not full tanged.
Good job brother. Keep making the videos and sharing the teachings
I love my 140,got it last Wednesday, great beast of a knife, still pretty sharp for all I put it through.
Ty
Very nice video! I have the exact same jaakaaripuuko the 140 and the smaller 110. I highly recommend these knives
Yes they do hold up very good. But not so nice looking but very functional 🤣
i appreciate the time you took to make this vid. good job man. I like the knife too.
Will Cravens thanx
I have this knife and it's a beast I love it, I also have the Mora Garberg and it's nice too but I really like the extra length on the other one.
Thanks for sharing this video. I like this knife. I'd buy one.
Great review and badass blade, sir.
Thanks 😉🔪

Liked and subscribed good review man, keep it up.
Airik1111 Yes it's good to have the extra for batoning. Thanx for subscribing 😉
I had some problems on the website, as well.

Very good video showing the capabilities of this knife! I just can't decide between this model and the 110.. Could you give some advice?

hole in pommel can be use for pivot for bow drill?
Maybe haven't tested it for that.
@@DGOutdoorLife Thanks for the review!
I love the test you did. I know it's off topic, but I like your trousers. What brand are the trousers? Thanks
Thank you I was looking for a budget knife!
S. F. It's a great knife. Can't go wrong with it.
It might have a budget price, but it's a great knife. In my opinion its better than the Mora
I ordered this knife. That extra 3 cm blade could be useful when batoning
Dutch Bushcraft Yes its really great to have the extra cm on it
So what?
Tiny hand man I agree
Look forward to more videos
I use my 140 for timber frame construction. It is one tough knife!
13BRAVO REDLEG Yes it's really one great knife
You pronouced it pretty well🎉
They are unbeatable for the price and are quite excellent performers. I daily carry a 110 and grab the 140 when going to the woods.
I also daily carry the 110. Best belt knife I've had.
Bonjour Is it a good knife ?
For the price it's a really good knife 😉
Ok Merci 🤗👍

Thanks. I'm not so much for one tool option. But if I hade to go for it I wood look for maybe a bit bigger knife that's a bit heavier then this one.
@@DGOutdoorLife cool, thank man 👍🔥👍
I have the Terävä Jääkäripuukko 110. I'm thinking of getting the Terävä Jääkäripuukko 140 and grinding it to a Spear point Kephart style.
mister smith Nice idea 😉
These 3 cm would really make such difference?
I ordered my Terava Jaakaripuukko 140 at 01.55 this morning it should be with me Friday all being well if not definitely Monday at some point
Nice 😉
