The AE/E1 Codes are leakage codes and basically mean a bit of water has escaped the tub underneath the dishwasher. The dishwasher has small water guides so if water isn't where it's supposed to be it gets routed to a small tray underneath the dishwasher (like gutters on a house would do if it rained). There's a switch under there that has the dishwasher throw the code to stop from causing any possible damage. Furthermore, we'd be more than happy to look into this for you. This didnt resolve my IE error ... my LG dishwasher is less than a year old and I really wish I bought a different brand. This was just an expensive piece of crap.

I found on the LG website that my 10 year warranty is actually only 1 year. I have a repair appointment that I will have to pay for because they wouldn't help if was under warranty. This will be the last LG product I will ever buy.

Same IE problem with my LG dishwasher bought 5 months ago. Can't imagine a $1000 dishwasher having this many problems. Wouldn't buy LG any more.

Mine in literally 2 months old and I have this issue.

I had a repair guy tell me the chip was bad and it would be $450 to fix. I just bought a different brand and junked the LG.
