This is version 2.0 because TH-cam screwed up S1E1 the last time I started this series. Luckily we were only 2 episodes in when this occurred, but I had to start from scratch...this is the result. ENJOY!
Ah, just when the series was getting really interesting! Google depends on robot algorithms to monitor the description, keywords, and speech. Certain words can trigger an automatic modifying or outright removal of your video because of "controversy."
As long as I get my TLD @Accurize2 fill, I am happy. The last journey was amazing. And this fresh start is much needed with a new twist!, Interloper! You've been preparing for this... GOOO!!!
Yeah, I just got to watch version 1.1 episode 1 then, I went to watch episode 2, episode 2 told me it was not available so I went to your home page and I found one two three and four but two three and four were not available so I went back to one, only to find it unavailable as well
Mr.Minzer that’s exactly what it is. I’ve been an avid player for over a year, and in EVERY NEW GAME I START, it’s nice one second, and a wolf is gnawing at my ankles the next. Yes, I’ve cried.
Mr.Minzer Literally a second, especially in interloper mode. One minute you're walking across the Forlorn Muskeg, overburdened and unable to sprint, and the snow kicks up and a blizzard comes out of nowhere and suddenly the temperature is -40° C but you can't turn back, you're really far from your destination, and you're walking 1 kph lol. It's BLEAK. But at least the place you're dying in is absolutely beautiful! Lol.
One time I was stacked with a rife and a revolver and a very good set of clothes and I got jumped by a wolf and it asked if I wanted to stab, bash or something else (I don’t remember) and I panicked and clicked bash and pretty much instantly died I was so mad
I almost killed myself because I ate bad food and didn't realize it. I had parasites and went to sleep. I panicked so hard when my health started dropping fast! Luckily I woke up with very little health to spare. I ate some antibiotics and just barely managed to heal the condition before I lost all my health
The initial struggle to survive is always the most fun to watch anyway, man. Once you get too settled, the fun's gone. You're not surviving anymore, you're just living. That's usually when I start over.
I enjoy getting set up to succeed after the initial scramble. The Bear challenge is my preferred “frantic” game type, but for survival mode I like reaching the mastery of the environment. Creating caches and supply routes, putting down markers to make it possible to safely travel in low visibility, and having elite skills like firing arrows while crouching is excellent.
When I went to explore the muskeg in stalker I brought 30 rounds with me because I was terrified of the amount of wolves, this dude just goes and spawns there madlad.
If interloper has taught me anything is that you need to keep moving. Anything mediocre can wait for when you return geared. Hunt for supplies during the day, sleep at night. Craft you improvised equipment early and then go on the hunt for skins to make your fur clothing. The first 20 days or so are always rough. Look forward to seeing how this run goes as I loved your stalker series 👍🏼
Its sorta funny, every time I watch an episode of The Long Dark I always find myself mentally going over my list of winter supplies in keep in my car. I live in Western New York, so this time of year we get dumped on by lake effect snow coming in off the Great Lakes. It always astounds me how so few people seem prepared for the elements, even when they know its coming. A few years back when Buffalo was getting blasted by snow for a week straight, several people died because they weren't prepared to face the elements. The mental checklist happens even more on the first few episodes of a series, because I can easily see people I know getting caught in similar situations of having a poorly insulated coat and running shoes when a blizzard strikes. As always, A+ content!
I think you should make the trappers cabin your main base, make some rabbit skin mits, the bow, and wait for the moose that spawns right near the cabin. excited for the new start!
for staying in mystery lake, i like to use both the lake cottage and the trapper's cabin. use the trapper's cabin as a stash spot and the lake as a main base. for stalker and easier at least, ive never really done interloper
For Interloper the Trapper's Cabin is really too far from everything else. The best early Interloper base in ML is the hydro dam. You can live in the trailer. You can craft in the dam. The ravine is right next door with a cave and easy hunting. There are a couple of deer carcasses and wolves close by for skins. And it's a quick trip over to CH or PV.
I saw a video for some tips on how to survive in this game. I’ll give one tip. Caves have an outdoor and an indoor zone. If your temperature goes up when in a cave, you’re in the indoor zone
It is you! I watched your interloper videos a few years ago and its so nice to see you are doing well. It's been a while but just wanted to let you know you brought this kid some good memories :)
FYI there was a 3rd cooking pot in the Mystery Lake Cabin above the whetstone at 40:51. Always helpful to have multiple pots scattered about the map so you don't have to haul them.
so question, I play this game a lot, and love the game but would love to see a few add on's, 1. snow shoes, there is no way this guy or girl lived in the north and didnt know how to make some and the camps would have some or parts. 2. skis or the like 3. the ability to build a sled to put stuff in and pull it behind you. 4. the ability to smoke meat to preserve the life of the food. I have been looking for updates that would have a few of these items. I wanted to know what you think? love the channel be waiting for more.
Pretty sure there are already snow shoes, meat stored outside or in a container usually stays good for a long time, 2 would be a nice fun activity, but three would really negate the whole limited space thing
I'm pretty much new to the game (15 hours of play until now) and I've been playing on Stalker difficulty to die & try and to learn everything all by myself. But I had to look up to someone good at the game to learn a few tips & tricks for the survival aspect. Ans soo, I ended up here. Your commenting is perfect and your voice is relaxing. I've enjoyed every minute of it. It's a series I sure will be following.
Its not a shame to start on the easiest mode the 1st playthroughs, afterall you gotta get the maps knowing, where wolves could be around, where the good lootspots are etc. Stalker diff for a new player? Kudos, but a tad hard I say, its still a challenge if you tune down one notch.
Stalker is super tough if you're new to the game. I'd start on a much lower level. Learning the locations is key...I'm still learning some of the areas I hardly ever visit. I have some good tips and I make a lot of mistakes, if I realize I made them I will point them out, definitely learn from both.
Too difficult to do.. how do you sync across time accelerated activities when they're independently performed by different players at different times? One person would end up only existing in the other's future or past.
@@Garryck-1 just send a request to the other player. They could deny or accept it. Assuming the players want to work together, there would be no problem at all.
Oh, definitely. Some silly YT technical glitch is NOT going to keep me from playing Interloper. This mode has me on the edge of my seat...it's like playing TLD again for the first time because it's so dangerous all the time!
@@Accurize2 Glad to hear it man! Keep up the great work and I will see you in the next video! Also I wanna say thank you for your service as a cop, I am forever thankful!

Should do other things than wait to pass the time for water like preparing those lichens and mushrooms or breaking branches. little 15 minute activities so you accomplish 2 things at once.
That cooking pot though....🤣....glad to see you give it another go even after losing those 17 minutes!! I was searching your channel today and couldn't find episode 2 so now all is explained! 👍
I like the way you say birch bark and backpack. also a monitor screaming session, PUT YOUR HOODIE ON!! Great to see another series! will watch all of it.
There are no caches on interloper. I find it best to synchronize activity to the daytime so you are out at the warmest part of the day. Nights can get really cold once the weather starts getting worse around day 20.
One other handy hint, instead of using birch bark for kindling, you can turn sticks into kindling, and then use the time you're cooking the water to prepare plants for making tea, which takes from 5 - 15 minutes. This would also supply you with 100 calories per tea, and also add the warming benefit, and the birch bark tea would slowly heal you on your travels.
This game always starts out as so calming for me, but then it gets incredibly stressful. I'm still learning the game 😂 I've been watching this series on repeat for a long time now, and only recently have I been able to play the game myself. Thanks for introducing me to this game!
WOW you just made me realize that I should be recording my TLD videos in 1440p! :O I went back and forth between 1440 and 1080 and realized how blurry the latter is. :O Thanks for the inspiration mate! :D
P.S: My Season 1 I started in Forlorn Muskeg, too! Didn't go as well as yours though lol. Though there was a "Season 0" which I messed up the recording at the start and decided to can it and play the sandbox in my "own time"... Few months in now, with double bear pelts and all. So I think my interloper skills are back to where they used to be. :P
Hey Accurize2! You were my first contact with TLD. I watched your interloper series and could not wait to subject myself to surviving and dying on repeat haha That was years ago but, just like you, I am still enjoying playing it through! Thanks for all the tips and tricks you share in your playthroughs!
The cave you went through at the beginning puts you up on a plateau that if you hug the right hand wall and climb a ridge puts you in the milton basin, excellent starting point honestly, and puts you right by pleasant hill farms after some climbing. Not a bad idea to go back if interloper doesn't punish you too much.
I had 6-8 fps the first few days, and yeah, this seemed superfast in comparison XD So I lowered all settings, only to get marginal frame rate improvement, but sacrificing a lot visually... until I changed the screen resolution from 4096 to 1920... now I got around 40, and can still have the other settings on ultra, with minimal visual loss.

Yeah...bought the game when I started watching your 365 series. More than a few weekends of binge playing for 15 hours straight (with the help of some Rockstar Fruit Punch's). Looking forward to this series!
@Accurize2 love your vids. Something I can play when I just need something relaxing or play as background for when I'm playing my own playthrough. Very underrated channel, love what your putting out. But hey you should try and play this game "Dawn Of Man" I think you'd like it!
Looking forward to more of this series! Also, I agree, that thread based fishing line, wood be good. Maybe a higher failure rate, but should still be doable. I think, too, that if ammo did spawn in 'loper, it should be usable as accelerant (emergency measure). Bone/wood fish hooks might also be good. I'd also like plant based thread harvesting.
I know this is late, and you may already know this but I found that if you throw a rock a wolf will check out where it landed if not already focused on you. There was a time I needed to go somewhere and a wolf was blocking my path and for fun I decided to chuck a rock towards the right of him and when the rock hit the ground the wolf ran towards where it landed giving me a clear shot past him. I haven't tried it on interloper so you'll have to experiment there.
No, the non-permanent bunkers are removed from loper (in case nobody else answered). Good video, you play a lot differently to the way I do which always makes for an interesting and entertaining watch. I hope this series doesn't get screwed over, and I'm looking forward to the next one!
He didn’t die, TH-cam cut his videos short, and if you die in this game you have to restart I’m pretty sure.. even if you don’t, what’s the fun of playing with no consequences?
I'm a little surprised you didn't go to the radio tower. There's usually a box with some supplies there, sometimes a dead body. And a burnt out fire a little further down. But starting by the cave was really in your favor. The first aid box was definitely there haha. I was yelling at you for not seeing it 😂
I watched jack play this when it first came out and he hasn’t played it since, and I wanted to see more game play because this game is just so pretty and I found you, and I’m glad your videos are fairly recent. I’m binging this thanksgiving break
i know this might be a bit damning in interloper, but i usually don’t carry drinks of any sort with me unless i’m making long hauls. it might help, since water and sodas weigh so dang much. hopefully it helps!
Thats the worst idea ive heard because the amount of times that iv had almost died from no water is insane, you can afford 1kg, and thats how you should do it, have 1L of water max unless needed otherwise
Awesome episode as usual. Sorry the other run got tagged, but this one seems to be going well. I have another torch tip.... try grabbing torches from different areas of a fire sometimes you will get a better one and once you find the sweet spot keep grabbing from there.

Yeah...bought the game when I started watching your 365 series. More than a few weekends of binge playing for 15 hours straight (with the help of some Rockstar Fruit Punch's). Looking forward to this series!
Supposed to turn right at end of cave climb up roots across lake up two or three ropes for Milton. LONG journey.
Tin cans are very useful. Like for example if you have two of them and alot of wire, you can communicate vast distances.
This is really good! I finished StacyPlays’ series of the long dark and I couldn’t get enough, and I stumbled onto your channel! 😀
Me too!
@Accurize2 love your vids. Something I can play when I just need something relaxing or play as background for when I'm playing my own playthrough. Very underrated channel, love what your putting out. But hey you should try and play this game "Dawn Of Man" I think you'd like it!
He already played that game :D
I wonder why TH-cam cut off that part
I've never seen it happen before. Hopefully, I'll never see it happen again!
@@Accurize2 can this play offline ?
And what's the download size and also can u give me download link for this game
@@4793685210 Go buy the game on Steam
Looking forward to more of this series!
Also, I agree, that thread based fishing line, wood be good. Maybe a higher failure rate, but should still be doable. I think, too, that if ammo did spawn in 'loper, it should be usable as accelerant (emergency measure). Bone/wood fish hooks might also be good. I'd also like plant based thread harvesting.
The person who never made mistakes, never made anything.
Am I the only one reminded of Bob Ross while watching Accurize? Keep up the good content! : )
Is it just me or does every survival game have something joyous and fun while 5his one is utterly scary and brutal.
"Put your stone away before you hurt yourself!"
Interloper 2.0 HYPE!!!! :D Sucks you lost the first run but hey looking forward to this one just as much.
I'm so behind. Just finished the year in the dark series that I actually used to be caught up on. Time to catch up on this series.
No, the non-permanent bunkers are removed from loper (in case nobody else answered). Good video, you play a lot differently to the way I do which always makes for an interesting and entertaining watch. I hope this series doesn't get screwed over, and I'm looking forward to the next one!
All I can think about, is if this game had a couple wendigos it would be terrifying.
If you die again, just continue the series, dying is a part of the game, also, mistakes are the most entertainning part for me lol
I didn’t die. Ask anyone who saw the first episode yesterday and were wondering why it suddenly ended at the 41 min mark.
He didn’t die, TH-cam cut his videos short, and if you die in this game you have to restart I’m pretty sure.. even if you don’t, what’s the fun of playing with no consequences?
Dude i laughed so hard when you saw that pot next to the stove
The water, in reality, should be safe. I mean come on, melted snow from the middle of the Canadian north is probably the purest thing around.
No fishing line in Interloper; must craft it with cured gut. :\
Oh really! Somehow in all these years I’ve missed that. THANKS!!
I never knew you could do that with torches! Game changer!
Good luck on this run. Looks good so far.
What happened I thought caves were pitch black and you needed a light source to navigate them?
There's a brightness setting under options; his is probably turned up higher than yours.
There's also one or two caves (between areas) that seem to be slightly lighter than others
Who else was saying put on the hoddie!!!
Guy's a moron. It's not the first time he forgot to put on clothes in his inventory.
Wow I didn't know about the Daisy chaining of the torches.👍
Ok, I'm glad I'm not crazy because I swear I watched the first 3 episodes on v1.0 and then it wasn't there anymore.
I love this game. It's been out for a while though and new features seem necessary to keep it interesting. I'll be waiting patiently.
If rabbits really made that noise I'd starve. I still have nightmares from the first time I killed one
Cattail life= best life. Sorry for TH-cam drama but this is an interesting start!
i know this might be a bit damning in interloper, but i usually don’t carry drinks of any sort with me unless i’m making long hauls. it might help, since water and sodas weigh so dang much. hopefully it helps!
Thats the worst idea ive heard because the amount of times that iv had almost died from no water is insane, you can afford 1kg, and thats how you should do it, have 1L of water max unless needed otherwise
37:00 Fun fact - Goat have an overall higher background radiation because they'll eat *anything.*
Awesome episode as usual. Sorry the other run got tagged, but this one seems to be going well. I have another torch tip.... try grabbing torches from different areas of a fire sometimes you will get a better one and once you find the sweet spot keep grabbing from there.
Eerie; a train went over the tracks near my place at the same time you were on the tracks...
Me:**sees thumbnail**
Also me:**look closly**
Me: oh thank god i thought it was something...
Have you ever thought of doing the custom sandbox mode? You can change all sorts of things.
I’ve thought about it. But I wanted to somewhat master the ones already provided before doing that. I’m sure it will happen eventually though.
@@Accurize2 when you make a custom game holy crap can you make it BRUTAL, plus you can share a code that other people can use to get the same settings
i love this game btw
I saw the pot and the hoodie man 😂
Good stuff, man... subbed!
Well done making it to a safe place.
