13,2 mm for a chrono an diver 200m WR is not chunky. The light blue is beautiful, also the red, I have the red Kamasu and is Outstanding how it plays with light
Kinda wished Orient did something a bit more interesting. I remember Oirent Star generations which are much more exciting then what they got right now. Are they being held back by Seiko or do they just not know what they are doing?
MAMACOO is one of my favorite watch manufacturers they do offer beautifull dials, good workmanship & moovements. That smooth sweeping second hand is truly mesmerizing!
In case you read this comment; The Bulova Super Seville might be worth checking out. I think it came out this year and there are not a lot of TH-cam video's about it. I'm curious what you think about it and how you would compare this to a PRX or Tsuyosa. It has the quartz Precisionist movement, the one with a very smooth seconds sweep. Really doubting between the PRX and the Bulova now.
Does anyone know of a high street dealer in the UK for Orient? The biggest obstacle to their sales in the UK is the absence of dealers. It’s hard to tell what a watch really looks and feels like when it’s impossible to handle the model in question!
I bought a watch from MAMACOO lightly used for my last milestone birthday. Don't wear it as much as it deserves, but not afraid to, either. It's stunning . Good taste, Sir.
I never understood when there would be a real world scenario where a SCUBA diver would need a chronograph underwater, when the bezel shows elapsed time already. I am sure there was once a niche demand for them at some point in horological history but never learned about it.
Watch are the ultimate Men's accesories!Enjoyed watching your collection. Keep going! As a watch enthusiast and watch reviewer, I can say MAMACOO this was a great choice. Enjoyed your video!
I agree out of these three I quite like the red dial watch. I have two Orient Neo 70's Panda watches which are solar powered, one being a cream dial with the black sub dials and silver skeletal hands the other Panda has a green dial and gold indices and gold skeletal hands. The dislike for me with mine are the deep set date windows which are useless for anyone with poor eyesight or even for someone with normal eyesight. All in all though I enjoy wearing them and people have commented on the green dial watch the most. I got them both at a good price though considering they are both JDM models so have no real complaints overall.
lost my pepsi bezel mako 2 into water earlier in the year, bought a pepsi mako 3 chrono to replace it. when i saw the limited edition only days after my mako 3 arrived i initially thought "shoulda waited" but in hindsight, i think i like the pepsi colourway more.
Thank you for the review. The spelling issue so prominently detailed in the comments must have been addressed by the time I got here. I generally like Orient products, but these would be a pass, actually a hard pass for me.
got my 39mm with the white dial on the 3-link "Bader" bracelet watch on MAMACOO 3 weeks ago and am loving it to pieces. Absolute fantastic watch that wears super comfortable on my 6.75 inch wrist. Chose the 3-link over the 5-link bracelet for the toolless quick adjustment. Way more comfortable than my Longines Hydroconquest 41 mm.
Not sure. I don't like red and the ice blue doesn't match the black bezel. The special edition black/blue works well and I think the dial is fine, but it's the hands. The gold hands just look out of place. They would have been better sticking with silver. I prefer the Mako 3 blue that I have recently ordered.
I'm always rooting for Orient but this is not where it's at unfortunately. The black and white dial versions that were available already remain much better looking, and if you're not married to the diving bezel the Orient Neo 70's or Stretto models with the same movement just look so much better. Disappointing releases these.
For me, analog chronographs are pointless. I have 2 of them, never used the chronograph function. Dials are simply too crowded for no actual benefits. I would prefer the sub-dials were multi-function style (date, day of the week, 24 hour/second timezone), like some Festinas and Casios have. These Chronographs from Orient could almost convince me of buying one. The red dial one, maybe... But there are many other watches way higher on the list, before I will consider buying one of these, even a few Orients (even though I already have 4 of them). One has to appreciate that Orient are sticking to their lane and coming out with some very interesting models lately.
I don't understand, why not make 1 nice one instead of 3 that are all half assed. Red looks weird with black instert. Ice blue is super ugly and people only force themselves to like it because of Rolex and Tiffany big names. And blue would be nice if not for cheap looking black coated bezel and 2 color instert.
To me, Orient do cheap and simple very well. These chronos just look thick, boring, poorly finished, slab sided, chunky and clunky. I know Orient has a place, but these just look old and outdated. HARD pass.
My apologies for the obsessive comment, but in your title…it’s “their” and not “there”. Thanks for regaling me.
Usually the misspelling here would be "they're" lol

FFS man get a life..
the limited edition looks less limited edition and more slapped together
The limited edition looks like a parts bin special and all three would look much better with colour matched sub-dials.

What would Ben say about a spelling error on a watch dial?

You favourite `ice blue' is my top pick too - looks great. I am glad the limited edition is limited, thereby limiting the damage to a fantastic brand.
7:02 Thank you. Glad you said it.
Those sub-dials are solar panels. That's the colour of solar panels, like the ones on g-shocks.

I haven't seen any dealers for Orient watches here in the UK tbh but they are online via Orient UK now.
I agree with your assessment. The bezel doesn’t work with the dial. The black kinda works with the red dial, but otherwise…too chunky and look cheap.
I can't lie, I don't like these watches at all. Orient's designs haven't been great recently.
The non-diver chronos and the new 38mm bambinos are fire. I don’t like these either.
I bought a watch from MAMACOO lightly used for my last milestone birthday. Don't wear it as much as it deserves, but not afraid to, either. It's stunning . Good taste, Sir.
I have to say I quite like the black bezel and pushers on the Limited. They needn’t have bothered with the texture though.
The light blue looks very similar to my crystal trophy seiko speedtimer, the red is very nice.
I never understood when there would be a real world scenario where a SCUBA diver would need a chronograph underwater, when the bezel shows elapsed time already. I am sure there was once a niche demand for them at some point in horological history but never learned about it.
I wonder how they have achieved 200 m water resistance with the chrono-pushers.
You could time how fast it takes for a great white to eat you.
I think the choice was more driven by the need to quickly launch a solar chrono. They had some nice divers, they addedd pushers on what they had.

Ice blue & the red are the best of the bunch but i still wouldn't want one + idkw but the Mako hands are always a bit on the short side .

I do like an Orient watch but the prices are starting to creep up unfortunately
I think it looks good.
Still adding a diver bezel to chronograph watches… I love my Kamasu and the brand in general, but what the heck Orient?!
they have such nice designs and pricing, however i cant stand their logo sadly
They look like they had a shit ton of bits and bobs left over from ten years of production and made a batch of what ever watches.
Finesse in design- 404 not found here.Just get a Wise.
All white would be so nice. Maybe soon

Wow!! Sweet!!👍👍
Idk if it’s just me, but diver bezel with the chronograph is to much imo
The Panda Seamaster
All dat MAMACOO watches sssssoooooooo gorgeous!

I really can't understand a diver chronograph
It just doesn't make sense to me
I see that these still have hollow endlinks and a pressed clasp. That is some shit, if you will pardon my French
Watches are so delicate and intricately designed, so I have intense respect and admiration for AMZWATCH watch makers
For me, analog chronographs are pointless. I have 2 of them, never used the chronograph function. Dials are simply too crowded for no actual benefits.

40 mm size and 47.8 mm lug to lug is not short ::(
The old panda one looks better
The latter looks more like a parts bin jobber. Each to their own I suppose but it's not for me. I agreed the blue looked better on for some reason.
Ngl, these watches look like they were made using spare parts in the warehouse. 0/10 for design cohesion
Not first texture dial, it's Mako 20th anniversary but in solar chronograph.
Those watches are screaming for AR coating.
Wow that crystal is so damn hazy, unusable imo
Yea, they are odd and kinda weird.
I like Orient, but those are not good.
Imho all of them look pretty ugly… 😅
Mixing a chronograph with a dive watch just seems... Wrong.
It can be done well, Omega does it. And I think Doxa has done it. But don't quote me on the Doxa one.
I didnt see anything exciting ..what i feel about Orients watch generally they seem so pale, not eye catching.
*They’re’re
I'm an Orient fan boy, but these watches are an abomination! They won't sell any of these. Rubbish!
No
I just hate dive watch chronographs...
They just look bad
They are all fairly bad, the limited edition the worse one by far. Only the first color combination seems acceptable to me.
Most Citizens and Orients are pretty ugly, with a few exceptions here and there.
Wouldn't wear these if you paid me.
To me, Orient do cheap and simple very well. These chronos just look thick, boring, poorly finished, slab sided, chunky and clunky. I know Orient has a place, but these just look old and outdated. HARD pass.
Meh
Orient is just a nasty brand, absolutely disgusted by their watches.
Aggressively chunky, too thick, dreadful choice of bezel insert colour. Meh, at best. What's happened to Orient?!?!
Thickness is on par for a dive watch.
Orient are stale. They all look the same
