Come on over was the first album I ever bought still remember it till this day. I was like 8 yrs old begging my parents to buy it me for my bday. Had the biggest crush on her aha.
It’s so devastating watching this, knowing that her amazing voice was destroyed by Lyme disease and dysphonia. Someone described her “new” and rougher voice as one similar of a rockstar - which is kinda cool. If y’all haven’t, you should 100% check out Shania’s 2017 comeback album ‘NOW’. Highlights being Life’s About To Get Good, All In All, Swingin’ With My Eyes Closed and Who’s Gonna Be Your Girl.

I grew up listening to Shania in the 1990s! She was one of the biggest country stars of that time, and she remains the best selling female country artist of all time. She’s a legend! I love her. 😍❤️
Thank you for doing Shania Twain. She doesn't get enough attention or credit, yet she should cause not only is she a great vocalist but she really was one of the big divas of the 90s.

I LOVE Shania Twain!! Her voice is so beautiful and so underrated. "From This Moment On" is the song I fell in love with Shania. Despite the lyme disease she's been picking up her vocal control, but it's heartbreaking to see her struggling to sustain notes and belt like she used to. In the recent years she's been using lipsync tracks of her classics and even the choruses of some of her new songs.
However, she shows her courage and strength battling her health conditions and marriage. Really a full-circle artist. ❤

I'm so glad your doing Shania Twain reactions! Shania is a really underrated vocalist in my opinion. She sings in a slightly lower register nowadays after nearly lost her singing voice during her unofficial retirement a few years ago when she was going battling Lyme Disease. You should react to a few of performances from her Still The One Las Vegas residency that she had when she came out of retirement as well as her 2018 Now Tour. Her performances of "Still the One" ,"I'm Gonna Getcha Good", and "Any Man Of Mine" from her 2014 Vegas residency are three that you should definitely check out!

mctaboo 😒 Um, Shania was always a beauty but Faith Hill always had a hardened face/look hence the bright lights & tons of “fakeup”. Faith may have gotten the deep wrinkles & sallow skin taken care of since I last seen her. I just wasn’t impressed with her “beauty”.

I was at the Chicago concert it was a lot of fun. Her old band was awesome, some of them still perform with her in Vegas, but her new band members are just as awesome. Her band got the nickname the fabulous falls because some of them took a spill on the treadmills on the come on over tour they had on stage

Oh gosh, I just love Shania! So many memories of those songs. I was probably about 11 years old when I first heard her. The song “it only hurts when I’m breathing” is so emotive that it’s almost too painful to listen to lol. Gorgeous vocals!

oooh... you made my day Georgina, thank you :) I am superfan of Shania since her beginning and sometimes I felt she was so underrated vocalist... but she still holds some records in music history... so... no harm :) I have to admit I´m a little bit sad her voice is damaged now and souns different. But I saw her live last year in Prague and she was stunning!!! Thank you for your reaction!! :) Can I ask for Faith Hill and Dixie Chicks?
In my opinion Shania is just the best singer & better than all her peers, successors & equivalents if you could find any.
If you compare her to other singers, some are too loud, some too soft, some too clear, some too indistinct, She's "Just Right" ( thinking of Goldilocks & the 3 bears )
She's been my favourite singer all my life. Loved her when I first saw her on TV when I was 3. Really, really, feel in love with her as a singer when I got my first CD of hers 10 / 11 years ago. She's stunning & classy & is such a nice person. I've had a huge crush on her for years & that will never die no matter what people say.
Get really mad when people pick on her or insult her - obviously they're jealous. She's such a fighter with all that she's been through. I actually love her new deeper raspier voice & new music so meaningful, emotional & autobiographical.
Occasionally she now struggles with her voice but that is expected with Lyme's & dysphonia. But when she's having a good day she hits all the notes & basically replicates the record.
Would love to see you do a critique of her Still the One residency ( best concert ever! ) as well as her Rock this Country & Now Tours & performances.
She performed from home recently during lockdown - different version but lovely as she always is.

Bar the odd track here and there Shania's music has never been my cup of tea, that being said I think she has a beautiful voice and I admire how versatile it is that she can shift between genres from dance, to ballads, to rock and country and western. I also think its remarkable when you read some of the stuff she has had to overcome in her life, she certainly has not had it easy.
