For those that don't know Diamond certification indicates sales of over 10 million copies.

Too bad country music black balled her, just like they did the Dixie Chick's. You don't see cross over artists anymore, because the country classics SHUT THEM DOWN. They even boycotted her on Country radio stations.

I am so glad Shania is back performing because she's had a tough road. From her parents death and having to raise her siblings. To finding out her husband was cheating on her with her assistant/best friend. And her losing her voice from Lyme disease for a number years. She's a fighter, that's for sure. She's married to man who loves her (who was actually her assistant/best friend's husband and he was the one that found out about the affair) and has learned how to work her singing voice through the difficulty of the disease and gained the courage to perform again. She's an inspiration. Can't wait for more Shania reactions from you both. 😎👍

She was also abused by a step dad. She is a survivor and refuses to be a victim. If she can do it, anyone can rise above.

I don't know the game that well, so my mind drifted and I started writing." Initially, Twain thought that "From This Moment On" would be perfect for singer Celine Dion; however, as Twain and her husband at the time, Robert John "Mutt" Lange developed the song, they concluded that it would work best as a duet. While their first choice for the duet was Elton John, they chose country singer Bryan White"
Shania has said she wrote this song while she was married to Mutt. She married him in 1993. Her parents died in 1987.

Still is from what I've heard. I used to work at a hotel, and this song was one of the most played in 2016-18 when we hosted wedding venues... Inexplicably though... one of the other most played songs was Billie Jean. Like seriously, every wedding played Billie Jean... Ya'll know what that song is about right? I mean... Every wedding we hosted.

yes this was one of her more "wedding" favorite songs, eclipsed only by "Still the One" Which I believe was her biggest hit. It hits all the feels.
You're Still the One is a great anniversary song also (and whoever the guy is in that video - yowza 😁)
"You're Still the One" is really good, but I like "From This Moment On" better.

When we were married my late wife and I had this as our song. I still have our banner with those words "From this moment on". This reminds me how much I miss her.

@Strawberry Shortcake She did say in a TV special that she wrote it in honour of her parents & later on that she started writing it at a football game.
It's a love song dedicated to her parents.
Her parents don't have to literally be mentioned in the song.
Shania has a great song catalogue and a lot of fun clips including - Don't Be Stupid, Honey I'm Home, Any Man of Mine, Whose Bed Have Your Boots Been Under, You're Still the One. What Made You Say That is a nice little gem as well.

Shania is one of the women in country music who have made it big without the full support of the country music industry or radio (and in spite of them).
A book, "Her Country", came out this year talking all about this subject. These women have needed to be resourceful and determined, in addition to being talented.
This is one of the most romantic songs ever written, and unlike so many other "romantic songs", there's no stalking, no pain, and no one being called little girl. It's so beautiful and refreshing!

According to her when they were married the way it used to work was she would sing a song to him that she had written, many times as she was doing the dishes. He would throw in a few suggestions here and there. She would then list him as a co-writer as a thank you for his contribution. But his true talents were as a producer. He made the the songs sound the way they sounded. He did stuff like put the hard rock beat on Honey I'm Home instead of just having traditional fiddles and banjos for example. Well his influence on her current music is definitely missed the songwriting has always been hers and hers alone.

This song was on HEAVY, and I mean HEA-VY, rotation. It was THE wedding song for years. There's a duet version which is also beautiful, but this song ruled the airwaves for months!
The duet version is my favorite because of the harmonies. Bryan White also has a great voice.
I know why you like her sound so much, the producer "Mutt Lang" who she was married to and produced her songs is the same producer that put Def Leppard on the charts. If you listen closely to her songs and Def Leppards they are similar.

Country radio didn't play any of her singles from her 2018 CD release. I was really shocked after what she had meant to the industry to see Shinia snubbed like that. Originally this was a duet with Bryan White. I'd like to see a reaction to the Country version. Can you please review Travis Tritt and Lari White's duet "Helping Me Get Over You?"

Yes Amber, this song was sooo popular when my friends were getting married. I sat through (or was in) several weddings where this song was played for like, the unity candle or something. It still holds up nowadays. “You’re Still The One” is a great follow up to this song.

As much as I love this song, I think "You're Still the One" is probably my favorite "slow" song of hers. Also, she has a documentary about her that just came out on Netflix not too long ago.
