When you can't use magic hit it with an axe. Wen you cant use your axe zap it with lightning. I think that's a philosophy we can all live by. Which is why the battlemage is my favourite build.
I love how the video tags include "#OP." Nice build Beli! Odin in particular has some spells that really complement a Battlemage play style; you covered Orc Strength, the various touch attack spells get you in the thick of combat, and of course the weapon buff spells; the touch attack spells synergize really well with the Vokrii battlemage perk.
Forgotten Magic is cool, it's also just so OP it overshadows any spells not from FM. Yeah, I try to only go with what is really indispensible to make the idea come true. Although, this is one is niot the best example, as I usually try to keep the mod list in under 5 mods. Glad you liked it and welcome.

It fluctuated depending on what I needed, so skipped it in the vid. Some Resistance to magic early on was vital, because of the Stone. Then some Fortify Magicka. In the end you can just go with another fortify one-handed. Everything else will be covered by perks.

Does shock cloak trigger the additional shock effects? (it probably shouldn't since that will be pretty op).

Honestly, there was so much levitating and shock spells at any given time, that I am not sure. 80% convinced it does triggers levitation.
Shock cloaks triggers it. In vanilla it also triggers desintegrate.
