      @@allanv94 That's nice to hear, great games👍🏻
ATM iam playing the VR port of No Mans Sky to explore and chill.
      And very seldom Medival Dynastie
or Ghosts of Tabor. But iam not that much happy of its quality. Its just the only multiplayer hardcore VR extraction shooter I could find.

people don't play vr games because nobody makes good vr games, i have played through half-life alyx at least 3 or 4 times, but there are no other games of that quality out there yet. when it comes ill buy it right away though.

i like to think i have high standards for VR games, maybe to a fault?
VR games typically have one thing they're GREAT at and then one or more other things they're bad with...
half life alyx? great physics, great visuals and fidelity, but movement and world interaction leaves a bit to be desired.
blade and sorcery? great physics and such, terrible AI animations and bad reactions at times.
hard bullet? neat 'gore' system, movement is nice, but AI is kinda bad and interactions feel 'floaty' or 'plastic'...
maybe it's just hard to do ALL THE THINGS in a VR game than with pancake games? im not sure.

It isn’t necessarily hard, it just takes a lot of resources. A lot of components used in games are also easy to reuse, within a company or even from free/paid online resources. These components are, most of the time, not great to use in VR development. Which means that a lot needs to be built from the ground up, this causes projects to cut down their scope mid project which results in a subpar experience which even more emphasized because the marketing team often still does a great job setting the original expectations, since there use of resources is so much more predictable.
English isn’t my first language, so I hope this still made sense

I love my quest 2 for putting me in vr for such a low price, but I hate standalone vr for what it has done to vr gaming, my last true wow moment in vr was in 2020 when I played boneworks for the first time, the software has tanked due to standalone limitations

This is sad to see but it explains why some of the bigger games on PC and PSVR2 aren't always up to snuff when smaller indie developers often nail mechanics much better (they are often made up of people who also play VR games).
Hopefully as VR becomes more mainstream we can expect better games as more people are used to spending longer durations in VR, which is critical for testing everything from art design to ai to story structure.
Having said that UEVR proves most flat screen games work well in VR with only a little bit of tweaking.
There are exceptions to this rule Skydance Interactive and nDreams are definitely larger VR studios that "get" VR!

My personal issue is neither to do with the quantity nor quality of VR games; there is only so much "fun" one can have, and I would perfectly content playing a select few VR games for years (as I have also for flatscreen games). Mine is just with a particular stutter I encounter in PCVR courtesy of meta - I imagine that without this, I would spend far more time within VR. It's been (8?) years now since VR went mainstream and I do think that wide (and not too rare) issues such as this may have some impact on the continual take-up of VR; if my friends were to be introduced to VR on my computer, their perception of VR would be sullied.
Though, I reckon that the hold of standalone on the market still reduces willingness to invest into a VR system. On the rare occasion that I am not using an ad-blocker, I will only see advertisements based around standalone vr. From an outsider's perspective, they just look like generation-old flatscreen games which require some fancy peripheral.
