I'm so glad that the Case 310 got HM(although it should have been on the list). My uncle had one that he used for making camp roads, driveways, and town road repairs. A great little work horse. A favorite of small grounds work contractors up in Maine.

Dear Crazy D Equipment, we have found what we were looking for. Both a rebuild starter and a new one. Also a fuel pump for our INTERNATIONAL CRAWLER TRACTOR BTD 20. Thank You for your efforts and we will continue to follow your activities.

Glad to see Case get the honorable mention.
My Grandad had a Case crawler, (don t remember the model, year may have been late 50s/early 60s, it was gas powered and the headlights were incorporated into the body above the grill.) anyhoo, "Pa" used it for logging, clearing land and other farm related work. He gave it to my Dad, who repaired the drive assembly and used it for logging, farm work, dug a pond, and digging what became the basement of our home. In addition, the crawler was used as a pusher while a D-9 CAT pulled our old house on logs to the back 40 of our property. Most of this was done in the late 70s/early-mid 80s, so my memories are kinda fuzzy but fond ones. Especially when Dad would let me work the levers n drive. To me it was a real life Tonka Toy. 😁
I do remember we kept it til 84/85, then sold it. I remember being a bit sad when it left. Sadly, I don t know what became of it. It was pretty worn, but it did good work for us.

Glad to see that the case 310 models got an honorable mention. I myself still have the original owner's manual parts manual for a 310 model g with the power angling blade and then we also had another 310 model can't remember exactly what one but it had the 6-way blade on it but the motor went out on that so now it's a glorified parts machine. I am in the process as we speak of restoring it I got it from my dad a few years ago after he passed

    Hi, Folks.
Not a bad list, although the first few look like a sales brochure for Oliver Cletrac and there are some missing from this list that I would consider somewhat more worthy of a place in such a list than some of those listed. But I'm not a subscriber to the channel so I don't get a vote.
Also, some of the 'technical details' are a bit 'off'. F'rinstance, the International TD24 had planetary gear steering rather than hydraulic. The Caterpillar D8 is STILL in production although somewhat different in appearance these days and its horsepower by 1965 was up to 270 hp but with a different engine. The last D8 to use the D13000 engine was the 13A series which ran from 1953 to 1955.
Some of the images shown are NOT of the tractors being spoken about at the time of their showing.
Does bring back some good memories though. Thanks for sharing.
    Just my 0.02.
You all have a wonderful day. Best wishes. Deas Plant.

That's ok, but Caterpillar is hard to do. D8s and D9s are still being built today. The D8 went through a lot of changes from 1935-1965. The D-13000 engine was used from 1935-55, and then the newer D-342 was used, and in 1965 it was up to 235 horsepower. Transmissions also changed. There were 5 speed manuals, 6 speed manuals and then 3 speed manuals with a torque converter, and a 3 speed power shift. All in that time period. The only D8 that had the 6 speed manual is the D8H and D8K series equipped as such (Most were powershift) and the rest had fewer gears. Most of the D9 pictures are D9Gs and they were built in the 1960s and 70s and they put out 385 horsepower. To correctly represent Caterpillar, you must just do one series of D8, such as the 2U series, 14A series, D8H, etc.

    Hi there!
We recently bought a woodlot, and in the tree line of the adjoining lot is a 310. I have not yet contacted the owner, but what are some particular things I should look for with 310’s? It looks like it has been sitting a LOOOONG time.
Thanks for any advice you can provide - I am a newbie to this whole tractor thing (escaped to America from inner-city-decay after 47 years of concrete) and recently acquired a 1962 430 Case diesel. But a crawler with a blade would be a great addition - IF it works…
    THANK YOU!
