The Oliver is running and operating great. It would be nice if you and Victor could do a little bit of a restoration on it. Like replacing some of the hardware that's rusted and worn. And giving it a good cleaning and painting it. The Oliver would be something that Dan could use when he's a young man. If you could find an old Oliver just for parts especially undercarriage. It's great to see the old equipment being used but not abused. Thanks for taking us along with you as you make memories for Dan.
I've got a 1952 OC3 Oliver just like that but not running, never found a carburetor for it, I've had it now for 30 years, And it has new tracks when I got it. Great video 4Dan..👍🏼
I love all tractors but when I was a kid I was partial to the John Deere’s as that’s all my grandpa had, then I seen an Oliver at the county fair tractor pulls one year and it stole the show I was impressed. Now years later I’ve been looking for one to restore like I did with my John Deere A. Great video man.
Neat video, I was surprised you pulled both trees at once! The crawlers are hard to beat in the snow and mud. We've got an OC-6 and OC-46. Thanks for the great camera shots!
My son has 0c3 that has been owned by two families. Like new . Completely restored to new condition. with front blade. Amazed by what it can do. Think his is only 48 inches wide.
There is something very ‘in synch’ about this footage. A man really enjoying his machine in nature. It would be cool to see you pulling a long toboggan/2 people on skis; or a hayride cart through the forest. I think the purr of the engine is part of it as well, it doesn’t seem like an overly noisy tractor.
@@thomas7770 thanks 😊, ya it’s not a very loud machine compared to some of my other ones lol. I do actually do wagon and sleigh rides for the kids and family 😊
Very impressive makes me want to get my Oliver OC4 running again... I'm in Southeast Canada in New Brunswick. You got lots of views. I may have to upload some Oliver crawler vids on my channel, lol. Thanks for sharing there eh!
I usually am not into things like this, but I liked it right from the beginning, I would love to take this out for a ride for an hour or two, looks like a load of fun🤪You don't see those everyday.
Nice machine is a farm tractor as the low hitch is for field equipment, for logging there are arches and risers for the hitch to put the log wieght on the hitch.
I got a lot of old machines old iron but I never had an opportunity to buy a crawler like that my grandfather he scrapped one out back when I was worried about 9 or 10 years old I wish that hadn't happened but anyway yeah that's a great looking machine and it definitely is running good
Hey thanks! And ya my grandfather got rid of a few things I wish he would have kept around to lol but like you I was to young to say anything about it lol but hopefully I’ll be able to keep these old things around and running for my kids! 😊
lol that would have been a crapy time lol on a older video when we where testing it after getting it running we had to put a throw out bearing in it but at least it was on solid ground 😂
Oued the old Cat D2, post WW II to skid elk AND poles out of the quakies in December one year! Another elk away from the haystack where it fell in another December! Good memories!
What brand of tractor is it I know it's a crawler type but the yellow paint leads me to think minniappolis moline please let me know what it i just love it looks fun to drive would love to have one myself oh what's the horsepower and is it gas or diesel
It is an Oliver cletrac OC3. Oliver took over cletrac in the mid 40s, the oc3 was made between 51-57 i believe this one is a 53 if I remember correctly. It’s a gas and about 22hp, about the same as a ford n series tractor 😊
Lmao 🤣 it’s funny when people point out the ol canadian accent cuz I forget we even have one.
