@@wonderfulworldofknitting Hello again Cathleen . I am currently working on a few things most of which aren't as interesting as I like them to be at present - basic socks, and a Henley style sweater for my son who prefers nothing to be from wool so I have to knit in a velvety acrylic - which is the opposite of my personal preference for rustic pure wool yarns. But I do live in Western Australia and I live in southern slightly cooler parts - but it can be hot where he lives so I understand and compromise ha ha !! I have just however just CO for cardigan with curved front edges - sitting just below the waist and with a small rounded collar. To make it interesting I am using 1 strand of plotulopi unspun yarn (a new experience for me) with a strand of Sirdar kid silk mohair. The unspun yarn is a pale sea green shade and the other a deeper slightly shiny teal green - and they look and feel pretty good together. This should be a fast knit at a 'worsted' weight on quite 'large' 6mm needles - something else I don't do often All knitting is for me an 'artistic' experiment really and I like to try all kinds of things in my mainly garment knitting - some of which turn out well and others have a lesser 'fate'. Anyway looking forward to seeing more from you too - Best Wishes Della x

@@22marketst Hello Della, Ah really enjoyed reading your message and hearing about your knitting adventures. It is good that you're knitting this sweater for your son in Acrylic, this way you get to appreciate the wool even more when it is in your hands again :-) I love rustic yarns too but it's nice to change things up for sure. I'd like to try knitting with 100 % Silk yarn - see how that feels. I have heard of Plotulopi yarn and seen some on other podcasts; because it's unspun it breaks easily I've heard. Hope your project goes well. The combination you described sounds wonderful. I'm close to finishing that lace Cardigan - finally. Best Wishes x
