Congratulations Josh! I'm a Porsche gal who enjoys following your yalls channel even though I know NGSC first love is Ferrari. I love your 356 "replica". Just bought a 1965 356 Coupe myself and absolutely can't wipe the smile off my face when I drive it. Enjoy!
Super cool! This is why I keep watching this channel. You have a business but understand fun has to be had every now and then. Now hurry up and finish the squad car.
I've been watching a lot of reviews of these and the coupes with Subaru engine swaps lately. Always loved the simple lines and elegance of the early Porsche
@@normalguysupercarLooks like his grandfather's is a '58 normal cab in Ivory with the red interior and the optional headrest. Pretty car! He is going to love the replica. I worked on a 550 replica and it was a lot of fun! So nice not having to worry about it at the level of an original. It can be an A2B car. Congrats! I hope all is well :) F
Bought an original 356A USA import to the UK when I was 24 - Guy had imported it, passed away and I bought it off his son.. No floor, seized engine, rough paint.. Fully restored it myself! Did a few resto-mods - lowered suspension fat tyres on original rims on the back and skinny Citroen 2CV tyres on the front, no bumpers! Sold it a couple of years later for $18k equivalent!.. Really wished I'd kept it!
Grandpa's car was parked in front of the old Valley National Bank at the SE corner of Camelback Rd and 44th Street, here in Phoenix. That bank was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright.
Very cool car. I grew up on a farm. We always had a VW bug as the second car. It was great for running around the fields instead of riding a horse. So I drove one from age 7 until I graduated high school. They are a great way to learn to enjoy driving. It would be cool to put it up on a lift and show us how the replica is built. Is it a fiber glass tub or a tube chassis with fiber glass body bolted on. Old VW suspension?
Grandpa's car was very cool, but the photo shown is not of a Speedster. It's a cabriolet. Speedsters are roadsters, and all Porsche roadsters have chrome, removable windshield posts.
Their are replicas that take real Porsche engines or you can go the Subaru route, my one has a Porsche engine & gearbox, it was made in the UK in the late 90's, Rj in Oz

Josh...a very special homage to your grandfather. He must have been a wonderful man and he most certainly left an impression on you. Great video.
Thanks, he sure did. He’s the reason I’m in the car business!
Yeah it's a great story
now who doesn't love a 356 "even if its a replica" its still an iconic car!!!
very nice!!
Hell yes
Super cool! This is why I keep watching this channel. You have a business but understand fun has to be had every now and then. Now hurry up and finish the squad car.
Right on!
My brother mechanically restored one for a customer 2 years ago and got it done before the owner died. He got to drive before he passed.
That's unfortunate for the owner
Nice Speedster! She looks as good as new!
Good Luck with her!
Thanks 👍
I love that car. Good job snagging it! There's one that shows up at our local Cars and Coffee all the time and I just drool over it
It's so much fun

It's such a cool little car
Well done Josh!! As with Dan’s GT40, the analog experience has its own unique joys of driving that’s just different from more modern cars. Congrats!!

That’s really cool! Any idea when that building was built? He worked at Porsche Audi in the area at the time.
Oh nice!
Hell yeah Josh!! “Not for sale on our website NG Supercars” 🤣🤣 I thought that was hella funny 😅 congratulations! 🎉
Lol yes
Great car!! ❤
It really is!
@@normalguysupercar not to mention the color and the look of the coco mats. Happy for you.

Good idea
looks like a fun car
It's very fun
Beautiful always outlasts performance. This probably gets more smiles than a McLaren.
It does, nobody hates on this car!
Honestly! Everyone smiles and waves at this thing. It's so fun
Nice job. Definitely needs to be keep in a garage with a cover
Haha yes
Sweet!
Thanks!
So jealous, been looking here, the Vintage Motorscars are going for$70-80k CDN. Would love to see the frame/underside if you put it up on a lift.
Oh man that's a lot more
That replica sure is a beauty I almost bought one years ago but the deal fell through😞
Ah man
@@normalguysupercar they pulled a bait and switch at the last minute, oh well live and learn😡
Wat did you pay for it? What engine is in it? Is it air or water cooled?
Does yours have the torsion bar rear suspension?
I think so
Some of these companies making these replicas like Singer are insane
Yeah
Yeah Baby!!!!
Hits close to home eh?
@@normalguysupercar Oh yeah, I may have to buy this one off of him when he is done with it!
Fred !!! What's up Champ !?
@@ndpesicgroup Hey Deuce!!!!
Such a classic !!! Is this the car Eddie Murphy had in 48 Hrs in midnight blue ?
I believe so
I never saw that movie
@@jsarg now that's pretty cool.... you gotta get Dan to watch that comedy classic !!!
The porsche Emblem on the center the point needs to be pointed to the valve stem
Ah yes
I bet that's fun to drive
It's a riot
Purchased from Marks Motors?
Nope
I high end ones are very expensive!!! I really wish the Cayman looked more like the coupe version of this.
Agreed
Add a Turbo and some fender flares. :)
Lol
nice
Thanks
super neato
Thanks

What was price for this car if its not secret 🤐🧐
We're not disclosing that
@@normalguysupercar good lovely boy
They are such, such pretty little cars and who cares about the lack of power/speed, that's completely not what they're about.
Yup it's all about just cruising around and having fun
Nice car but I can’t hear a thing you’re saying. Maybe you should provide subtitles or redo the video and do the sound properly
Yeah
He lived in Phoenix? That bank is in Phoenix
Yup, born and raised! I always wondered what that building was!
@jsarg it's on Camelback Road, it's a Chase bank now. Looks the same, I drive by it often
That's crazy
Thats really cool, I need to go by there next time I'm in Phoenix. Thanks for the tip on on that!@@jacksmith8002
@@normalguysupercar modernphoenix.net/vnb/henrycamelback.htm
Your grandfathers car was not a Speedster but a cabriolet. Still was a nice car but not nearly as rare as a Speedster
Ok
I don't want to watch you drive, I want to see the car...
Ok
Whaaaaaaaatt?
Yuup.
@@normalguysupercar 😂
Would this be a great car for just you and your wife. Date night or Saturday morning breakfast somewhere.
Exactly my thinking…definitely will be doing this
Agreed
That is what cars are all about! All the cool factor you can just drive the crap out of it. Congrats.
Heck yeah
Sweet!
Thanks!
