Hey Aluxers, Tim Ferriss was a great inspiration early on in the creation of ALUX! Who is your inspiration? One of you guys started this thread: WHAT BOOKS TO READ: www.alux.com/question/books-to-read/ Warren Buffett's 15 Must Read Books: www.alux.com/books-everyone-should-read-warren-buffett/ Most Influential Books EVER: www.alux.com/most-influential-books-ever-written/ GARY V: www.alux.com/video/15-things-you-didnt-know-about-gary-vaynerchuk/ BILL GATES: www.alux.com/networth/bill-gates/ TONY ROBBINS: www.alux.com/video/15-things-you-didnt-know-about-tony-robbins/ ROBIN SHARMA: www.alux.com/video/15-things-you-didnt-know-about-robin-sharma/
15 things I know about Tim Ferriss- 1. He has a great podcast 2. He is so good 3. He is so good 4. He is so good 5. He is so good 6. He is so good 7. He is so good 8. He is so good 9. He is so good 10. He is so good 11. He is so good 12. He is so good 13. He is so good 14. He is so good 15. He is so good
Yes, his books have influenced me to start my own business. Which I never thought off in my wildest dreams. His books overtook my life in the best way. When I did not know what I wanted to DO.
I've followed motivational speakers since 1985. I just don't care for him. I have to look at myself and not others or some trick to get things done. Tim Ferriss is like a living Reader's Digest collecting information, tweaking and condensing it, then passing off as his own. An aggregator of information. Googling Tim Ferriss quotes, you'll find many that were actually created and stated by other people. Ex: "No Hurry. No Pause." goes back to the Navy SEALs, "Fast is slow. Slow is quick." Meaning don't rush a job and doing it so badly you have to start over again losing time.
I bought Tools of Titan without knowing who he was, but I did like the content and so I purchased it. Good book and yes lots of common sense advice compilations. oval is a good reference book.
A btw Tim Ferris is not speaking Japanese so great definitely not fluent is someone listens to his blog can check for example interview with Marie Kondo japanese author about cleaning stuff . He used interpreter to translate to him what she was saying and he didn't use much japanese when talking to her and there is no video of him talking japanese. its like 28 kg put in 30 days, the more you dig in the more you find out what really he is.
Tim is a white guy. A white guy has already a genetic advantage since they were born because 1.) He was born in a developed country where opportunity is already there as long as you're not a lazy junky. If he was born let's say in Somalia, a smart black guy and he wrote those inspirational books, do you think people will easily buy his books and believes to what he is saying? 2.) He is white, white helps white and the world gives a special privilege to them ( I hope you got what I mean ).
Ok. He does have the white privilege. But that doesn't guarantee this kind of success. You are lame to write this here. Of course someone born in a somalian slum may not reach this kind of success. But for them the benchmark would be different. We all do what he can. Discounting his work but pointing out this irrelevant thing is lame
You live in the internet age. There is no excuse to not succeed. Never has there been a time in human history that the playing field has been so leveled. You can start any business you want on the internet and no one gives a shit if you are black, white, red, blue or purple! You are still making excuses for your own inaction. How can you accuse a guy who started a mail order business of racial advantage? His customers and his suppliers had no idea what race he was and yet he made 40k a month and invested it in stocks of Uber, etc. Racial privilege makes no sense.
4 hours work week is a great title to sell. But in no way in hell someone can achieve massive success working 4 hours a week come on! Keep it reaaal!! Lol 😂 ask any successful entrepreneur they work 12 hrs a day!! Even billionaires.
The Business Channel have you read the book? The book is about how to 10x your outcome work smarter not harder. In the book he never promise you will work 4h a week?? It's just the tittle. Marketing.
Mindless Farhin but you're a loser haahhah. Fuckign moron winners. Are you for real man??? All successful people work harder than broke ass bitches like you
