or ban him and get your teammate to ban Nasus too and live a fairly good life dealing with annoying stuff that actually have skill counters instead of just suffering through Wither or a Teemo blind.
I'm dedicating my top build purely against teemo, i always get annoyed when i match up against this shit on blind pick its annoying to play against especially if the player is good. Even if i would win the game id get stomped on my lane. I'd pick yasuo and i can counter his q and autos but the rat would dodge my Q's.

As a renekton main I perma ban teemo cuz u are forced to buy the radar instead of stealth wards and if the teemo knows how to manage the blind its annoying af to dive in

Cassiopeia hard counters Teemo, I say this from experience. He blinded you? That means he stayed for 0.5 seconds on place, just so you can hit Q on him and begin dumping Es on him like there's no tommorow... Because there is no tomorrow for that rat!
You forgot the part where poison dot continuesly eats you alive cause range, free disengage with speed buff and perma blind darts with any ammount of cdr…
Mathematically Correct burst teemo would like to have a word.
Most champ can beat teemo at lvl 6 except maybe shen and trundle but shen has global impact
A tip for my fellow kled mains, avoid autoing him while engaging and wait for his blind so he doesn’t waste your w. Q E him and use your E recast to chase after he uses his blind.
If u want to counter teemo. Push lane super hard, then hide in bush and slap him. Even better idea, play warwick and build ap.

If you play against a half decent Teemo these tips won't actually work. Yes, he is a DOT champ, but his all in is not that bad. If he's going PTA and has ignite, he can out-damage most toplaners lvl 3. So don't get overconfident just because he wasted his Q.
The item scaling thing is weird, because it is very much matchup dependent. If you decided to play a tank champ against Teemo, he can rush BOTRK and his power spike will destroy you. If you are playing a AA heavy top laner, he can rush CDR and max out Q to nullify most of your damage(and most of the time he will not even lose DPS by doing so). And if you decide to play a spell heavy champ, he can rush swifties and alternate between W and E on level up, and most of the time your champ will not be able to follow his speed(he will get 500 move speed constantly). And unless you ABSOLUTELY ANNIHILATE HIM, HE WILL BE A MONSTER LATE GAME, it doesn't matter the build he goes for.
The best way to beat Teemo is to make him feel strong, while not actually letting him be. Let him push your lane, make him think you are in a weak spot. If you do that correctly(Not actually giving up much cs and not taking free damage) you will set your lane in a way that forces him to trade with you, and that's your window to strike. Make him go for small trades, then get out of his range(with riven this is really easy). Wait for ganks and ACTUALLY FOLLOW YOUR JUNGLER. And just all in if he's below 70% HP.
As a teemo main I urge you to take this down 😂
some guy ran this set up against me, it so annoying having my poison do no damage, would be a pitty if i was playing on hit teemo and first item back got botrk and started dueling him with life steal advantage instead...
though do not recommend that, I chose it situationally cause enemy was mundo and would not die anyways so might as well get bonus life gain from him stacking his hp... 2nd item liandries and then just proceeded to be a normal teemo and build regular AP explosions after that
As teemo main, I agree.
It's not that he doesn't scale well into the late game, it's just when he's behind he scales so incredibly slowly compared to other champs and relies on items extremely badly. Also Doran's shield + second wind legit the best thing you could possibly do vs him. It just makes the game 2x harder for the teemo usually. Also most low/mid elo teemos are god awful and only know how to hard shove, so be patient and you can almost always hard punish him eventually. Just about knowing when's the right time. Don't get poked out too much early and learn to give some cs and be at least A LITTLE patient and it's the easiest thing ever to counter. Also I don't recommend pink wards because teemo can usually just clear them without much ways to defend it and you're a top laner, but sweeper is really good though if you feel the shrooms will make an impact on you.
PS: Cassiopeia is by far teemo's hardest matchup so if you want to counter him and you're half decent at cass, teemo legit can't play the game in that matchup ever besides level 1.

TL;DR him saying that is essentially him saying he's more right than any of the high elo teemo mains who unanimously agree that cass is teemo's hardest matchup. (Also statistics on matchups rarely are accurate because they're heavily skewed and usually inaccurate) Being a main in of myself may not mean I'm right, but legit GOING OFF OF OBVIOUS KNOWLEDGE OF CHALLENGER ONETRICKS WHO HAVE VERY MUCH MORE INFORMATION, RESEARCH, AND SKILL ABOUT/WITH THE CHAMPION THAN YOU DO does, which means in this case I'm right. If you argue any differently you have a heavily overinflated ego and you need to get that checked. Don't like being a little rude but that was necessary.

I usually max W for speed and use shrooms to build a safe space. If a matchup is hard I go Deathmans and or Force of nature for tankiness, I can still scale later and alternatively I can go full cdr and play the vision game.
the vision game man, this alone makes him so good in late game, you know where everyone is and teemo is still good even if he builds tanky or behindnin items!

You can easily conquer this pesky rat when you play calm and slow and find an opportunity, even I maneged to make an Teemo ragequit an match playing as Sett of all characters
Use full AP Nasus...
As someone who plays teemo if I notice the lane opponent waits for my Q to go all in I will typically just max Q first and play passive during laning phase. Teemo doesn't need to be aggressive. Sure I'll lose out on a lot of damage, but then the enemy can't kill me either. If I'm against a tryn and he gets fed OR if the enemy team is mostly auto attack based OR the most fed champ is auto-attack based I will typically just go for an Ability haste build and perma blind one person so they can't do anything. They will me useless and Later on in the game I will have a bunch of AP with my Ability haste build because Rito is dumb and allows for dmg on a full AH build.

You forgot teemo biggest counter. Bramble rush. Now teemo will lose his ms the moment he try to aa poke you. I just test last game XD he won't aa me the moment i buy that item. He went from aggressively run me down early game to running away the moment i bought that item.

Yes, but only because teemo is always at least a little fun most of the time (or you're like the majority of teemo mains who don't enjoy actually climbing and trying to win and would rather cause suffering which they then absolutely suck at the game because of it)

Teemo used to be op
he got a 5 minute nerf to his shroom duration cause games were ending at the 20 minute mark so a shroom was basically a ward that lasts for half the game... then they nerfed him several times cause shrooms were oppressive and hard to clear, then censor became a thing, and then they made censor even more of a thing... his range is just a bit too short for him to really stand their and burst his autos on you with severe retaliation... and after item changes they finally started slowly buffing teemo up again because his build diversity is more like shaco where only one version is ever viable at any one time, and just countering the optimal version renders him useless, which is why his not a real pick in pro play...
Shaco was in pro play for about a patch and then they nerfed him into the ground
