Shadowflame 2nd is better than malignance 2nd? Malignance has a higher win rate on lolalytics as a 2nd purchase. I would think that throwing out lots of shrooms due to the cooldown would be better as a 2nd purchase.
ShadowFlame is a tremendous opportunity to snowball as it builds into (StormSurge a cheaper fall back plan), but it also builds into Teemo's early game benefit. There is no difference between the two (both are 60%), but the overall idea is that ShadowFlame is a huge spike early (30 flat pen with Sorc). It is pretty simple to bully players in lane in order to keep them at 35% health virtually all the time (of course, this is not the case for Diamond+ unless it is like Singed), but it is far more effective to use Boots and Shadow while snowballing as a first pick to subsequently apply tons of crit on top of it and then Liandry's or Malignance or Malignance / Liandry's. A significant portion of this is just due to the fact that the community as a whole is responsible for fine-tuning the order, but I really believe that Shadowflame should be used as a first (when ahead) or second for a continual 6% x 20% boost in damage plus 30 flat + Crit to take full advantage of making that laner rage quit! If you're support, definitely makes more sense to get it first.
It’s funny because temp is such a meme in the community but I really respect the acctual passion you have behind the champion I play him once every few months I really need an Ap champ to add to my pool maybe I’ll try temp more often.
Considering the fact that he has never been a really "powerful" champion and a champion that really needs you as a player to play him well to compete with "good" champions has always been appealing, being the underdog, especially if you are able to get to a high rank with him and only him. Using that knowledge you built up with a champion more designed to handle the higher ranks, only to suddenly see the surge of knowledge and understanding you have gained from doing such a style of play.

Make sure you are constantly hitting them between the 12 second window, otherwise that shield will be applied. It's just constantly poke them. But generally you don't want to deal with tanks ever alone :( So poison turns that 12 seconds into a 16 second cooldown window. Plenty of time before it resets.
Hey man, fantastic guide! I was reading your guide on mobafire and saw that in the 'PRESS THE ATTACK - MOST EFFECTIVE AGAINST AP COMPS' build notes, you wrote 'It's very hard to pinpoint the severe loss of damage we lost from Kraken.' Is that outdated? Does Kraken still work with teemo?
In any information is left over from previous seasons like "Kraken super OP wowza!" It's outdated. Kraken got severely gutted, the whole purpose of that item was investing into 1000 AP and then that item alone with 4 basic attacks (if you pre stacked the item) would apply a 1600-1900 basic attack with AD damage which was stupid strong with the sustainability of Riftmaker and True Damage, such fun days. It was the perfect counter for Hexdrinker clowns.

Swifties / Greaves -> Nashor -> Dark Seal (Otherwise skip and replace with Blackfire Torch after Shadowflame) -> ShadowFlame -> (Defensive Zhonya or Wit's End) -> Rabadon It's the build I've been going for on-hit shred and dueling while playing Teemo JG. Hundreds of games Platinum/Emerald MMR (Normals sure) But while it lacks in everything (Sustain) and such, Jungle provides. Kraken just feels so bad now :(
Mmm, at this point. I wouldn't mind sitting down with them and have a serious discussion about some of the issues that plague him and many players, like his passive and possibly his blind interactions.
Hey i just got back in to the game after 10 years its like my third day playing, I was wondering if you could make a guide like this but for newer players that's a little bit easier to understand
1:42 What? Thornmail doesn't "reflect" damage at all. It DEALS damage based on your armor when you're struck by an attack. Botrk doesn't kill you any faster than attacking with Kraken Slayer...
As I stated, I am always wanting to learn. We can all learn from a lot of things in League of Legends. Season 7 was when Thornmail's passive reflect was removed, and since I never really bothered to look at most tank items, and the fact that I haven't built Blade of the Ruined King since Season 5-7 because it's just bad these days, this interaction managed to slipped by. REMOVED PASSIVE: Reflects 15% of the physical damage sustained. Regardless of this error, the interaction remains the same, because before Kraken was gutted, we would deal a lot of true damage (Riftmaker), magic, and physical damage, but with an on-hit playstyle and BOTRK, you would mostly deal physical on-hit damage, which would kill you faster because it's a "On-Hit" effect with Guinsoo and BOTRK combined would overwhelm you and do next to no damage to something like Sion. But Kraken didn't do it quickly; instead, it dealt pure raw damage in brief bursts not activating Thornmail many times. It will kill you faster, if you're combining it with Guinsoo. TLDC: Thornmail counters very fast attackers and on-hit sustain champions which Kraken never was. 3-6 autos, get out. It's similar to how a lot of us still call "Steelplated Caps" "Ninja Tabi" regardless of how many years go by.
I’m a new temp player who fell in love with ad teemo and just on hit in general, I go full ad with Doran blade start into botrk and kraken then rage blade however I don’t understand the champion enough to know if I’m doing it wrong or missing out on huge damage potential. Any advice?
Teemo only scales with Magic Damage. Meaning you're playing him as a much weaker version with Guinso, Kraken and Blade, while you'd be better off playing Vayne because it has the same playstyle, a stronger kit that complements her abilities, and so on. Not to mention that if the enemy builds Thorn Mail, Guinso will deal to you 10 (+25% bonus armor) magic damage on the basic on-hit. Based on the number of auto attacks that have hit them, you take damage from all of those items, followed by Teemos (E), which is on-hit, but it applies everything twice on the third auto, causing you to take x2 everything which might not sound like much but... 10 + 10 + 10 + 10 (25% of 250 Armor is 63) 73 + 73 + 73 + 73 = 292 146 + 146 + 146 + 146 = 584 In the span of three auto attacks against a player who is built appropriately. The reason we talked about Kraken in this old video was because it was so powerfully buffed for AP / AD scaling, which meant you could devote 100% to AP but still swap out one final item for Kraken to get so much AD while being AP, making it impossible to counter because we weren't stacking tons of insane on-hit double proc effects but rather True Damage, AD, AP, Sustain and high health to prevent death. Advice: I'm not trying to be a stickler, but please avoid any AD variants of Teemo unless you know what you're doing. I'm sure you're affected by some high rank players, but high rank players are more about knowing the game than the builds they use. I dabble in some AD variants, but these days AP is the way to go, with Kraken or Blade of the Ruined King being used sparingly, depending on personal preference and matchup. Boots into Nashor or Boots into Liandries is the way to start out.
@@Pawktthank you for taking the time to respond it means a lot, shortly after watching your video and reading your guide I’ve gone with fleet footwork into celerity and gathering storm with a dark seal start. Mostly into swifties and I’m loving it so far just being able to focus on wave control and cs then using the lead in gold to generate pressure and expand that into the jg and play for objectives has been a total vibe. Thank you for your teemo guide
Sounds like a plan, we will be looking forward to this. Mind you that I have watched this guide many times, because as you play and you re-watch it, you understand more on how you apply the concepts and get the bigger picture. The google doc for match ups have helped me too @@Pawkt
I find myself really enjoying botrk, terminus, rageblade, then building either more dmg or tanky depending on what im versing. AP teemo is fun to see someone get destroyed by one shroom, but its easily countered by smart oracles use. On hit doesnt suffer this. Plus blade helps tou sustain in lane.
Problem is, these items do nothing for your early game for snowballing and being useful outside of 1v1 split pushing. Basically it's like trying to compare cutting a Steak with a Butter Knife, Serrated Butter Knife or a Steak Knife. They definitely all can do the job, but one is just well suited to the task than the others, which are less optimal. On-Hit AP is generally more productive, BOTRK I could only ever see being useful against someone stacking non-stop-MR and just being stupid. Which does happen on occasion. Terminus and Guinsoo, alright into Tanks that can't touch you, but that's so few since the major have so much gap / CC and slows. But still the best option in terms of killing them on your own since burn won't do shit once they have their items xD
@Pawkt I can see where you're coming from. I think it's prbly just the skill of the opponents I'm playing against. I only play normals these days and usually with my friend who is only silverish level. I prbly just get away with stuff I wouldn't get away with in higher ranks. This video was made before the new ap items came out, have you tried anything with all the extra burn effects on these items?
@@Skarin1452 You can check the recent videos I have posted for on-hit / AP. I don't make many videos, because it's basically a spur of the moment motivation that comes and goes. But generally speaking, you can play anything, anywhere and have a moderate amount of success, but correct, normals and low rank tend to be where people just do whatever because it just works, where higher ranks it can still work, but it's because the player has more overall knowledge with tracking enemy build paths, baiting them into specific builds to get a slight lead on them early game and focusing on other things like objective control, split push, etc. In short, On-Hit AP in currently the way to go, until something happens with Hybrid items with a future patch and current AP builds get gutted.
Personality and environment wise, he is not someone I recommend taking seriously or learning from; I believe he is sick and tired of this game, just like the rest of us, but to the point where he is self-sabotaging himself with all of the really unconventional builds he has always gone with over the years since AD was obsolete after (Season 4-5 and a bit in 7) Example: "I need Mana," hence Smite Top instead of just... managing his mana more effectively and not spamming (Q) all game with 0 mana sustain. That being another thing a lot of his builds get taken from him, which is bound to be frustrating mentally. He was much better many years ago. He basically holds himself back so much now.
@@user-ib1dd1yi7d no jealousy here. He used to be a very integral part of the community, and then he lost touch. Especially his "I'll ban you if you ask stupid questions or piss me off. Give me money an I will unban you." Personality. I am blunt and to the point. I don't claim to be a good or the best Teemo and never will, it's a game that I know a lot about, but I am always wanting to learn new things.
It really depends on yourself as a player, you got a 6.5-7.1 CS average? Good warding? Do you win lane often? How long games are, all these things factor in your ability to use specific playstyles. Right now it's just burn playstyle and burst, snowball types of playstyles. Rune wise again is depended on your personality. Scared? Fleet. Aggressive? DH / PTA Both? Aery, Fleet.
It is feasible to play Tankmo, but do you want to win and do damage, or do you want to be a total meme, taking no damage and wandering aimlessly? Players on TH-cam frequently use clickbait to troll, often backed up by their ranking. In truth, the builds are poor, and many believe that it will assist them climb when all you are doing is hiding behind a crutch that is making you play worse.
While I keep saying that malignant is a terrible first item, you should already know that playing in the support role is very frustrating because often times you have absolutely no income to actually buy items. That also being said games are over before you can actually use items. So Sorc - Malignance an then whatever item you prefer from the list from Top. The build doesnt change just the order.
Would depend on who you play against / with. Never DH into healers an enchanter healers. Number 1 rule because stacking is a nightmare Zizzaks support and the current burn build, as everyones playing. But I can't say for sure what rune because well it's support and you're not going to be rich or high level. Games not going to hit 50 minutes. Playing for early snowball or heavy poke is what I would do with current meta. (It's 12am) kek
@@Pawkt By the way I read on your mobafire about the Malignance bug. Is that still on live or did the hotfix solve it? What is the bug? Appreciate the video btw. I've pocket picked teemo in previous season when I'm 4funning in diamond, but this season I've been having a ton of fun on teemo support. Trying to optimize now.
@@Pawkt Couple more questions: 1. I have been enjoying league for the first time in a couple years because of teemo support. I believe it's going to get gutted via nerfs. What do you think about teemo if he/his items get gutted? 2. Between electrocute and comet which do you think is better for consistent damage if lane isn't easy to stack darkharvest? 3. What is the bug with malignance and has it been fixed? Appreciate your replies. Edit: btw I think cheap shot is really good but noticed you run taste of blood. Why?
You sure it was stacked up? If you're doing it in practice tool the setting for it is at the bottom of the page, alternatively you need to kill every players if you're in a normal game.
Try ARAM first, you can stack those Hunter runes much quicker to see the effect. Fully stacked Ingenious Hunter reduces Stormsurge to like 20s. It also reduce charge timer of Luden's Companion. The rune gives huge benefit if you go for those two items.
@@yahim0568 While, sure.... It doesn't crawl to your direct location, but both leave a trail in the direction that they are, leading you to their position on the map / area if they are nearby.
It depends on yourself as a player. Dark Harvest can be used, if you understand the basic idea of a clear, tracking, are constantly rotating for farm -> gank or Farm -> Counter to get the stacks aways. Otherwise, yeah you won't get much out of the rune, it's why I normally play something else.
Thx for taking the time to respond. I was apparently smart enough to figure that one out, yay! but I'm too new to figure out this next one... Again, for JG Teemo; what would be best between Press the attack, and Electrocute?@@Pawkt
120ping is nothing, barely noticeable, still get my 7.1 average CS. It's because I play on many different servers, highest I can "put up" with is 180-200, but that's borderline unplayable.
I mean, it's been a full season since a (HYBRID) (NOT AD) build was viable, and it was one of his greatest builds matching AP. I'm 100% not responsible for other people's stupidity, and if they're running full AD, it's because of Manc0 promoting it or Ipav. Most games that are lost are usually due to peoples arrogance and negative attitude, which is saying it's probably your own fault as well. imgur.com/a/8U1cyif
@@Pawkt nothing against you but holy hell man I keep getting ad teemo players and they go 2 and 15 with 2 assists I am getting sick of it. I am so over carrying them. Yes they are bad but it doesn't help that every teemo I play with is doing this and it's terrible. Sorry I got pissed and was like who's telling people to do this... and here we are 🤣😂🤣😂
@@dominusmamoru7200 It's unfortunate, no matter how hard I direct them to (NOT) build Blade of the Ruined King with Guinsoo's because of dumbasses and their (FUNNY) TH-cam content while parading around their (RANK#1 WORLD CHALLENGER) bragging rights. You just can't stop stupidity. AD Teemo is something you see often in like Bronze / Silver. They are stupid and very wrongly impressionable and following the wrong advice, either than or just messing around. It's definitely Manc0 and Ipav. Both of which don't give a shit what you say. They negatively affect Teemos image by playing him in a non-serious way.
btw they nerf teemo adaptative runes, meaning, doran blade start is troll RN, the way to play teemo top imo is to buy 20 to 45 àp then 20 to 35 attack speed, he needs then move speed flat ànd perhaps -1. hit effect -2. mànà item -3. more move speed or hp depend of the lack stat of the game (mànà stand for no tank in your team) (hit effect is for melee enemy comp) (move speed is for rànge ennemy , hp for 2 or more assassin in enemy team )
The fact of the matter is that Rageblade has been a very popular choice among clickbait creators for a considerable amount of time. Even with the tweak that was made to it in Season 12, the win-rate for it decreased from 54% on Teemo to a good and steady 49-50%, while every other build with hundreds and thousands of games was staying at a solid 55%. This is because it is not a vital part of a Teemo build like it was in Season 5 or Season 6.
A guide like this one shows not only passion for Teemo, but a fundamental understanding of his kit and play style that far surpasses most people’s (including my own).
TLDC:
Thornmail counters very fast attackers and on-hit sustain champions which Kraken never was.
10 + 10 + 10 + 10 (25% of 250 Armor is 63)
73 + 73 + 73 + 73 = 292
146 + 146 + 146 + 146 = 584
In the span of three auto attacks against a player who is built appropriately.
Advice:
I'm not trying to be a stickler, but please avoid any AD variants of Teemo unless you know what you're doing.
Questionnnnnn, is termo viable s14 for mid lane? Or should I just focus top/jg? I don’t enjoy support as much but I do recognize how good it is.
Yep! You can play anything but ADC and climb effectively. If you're not comfortable, change it up!
Appreciated, do you also do coaching? If not I am still very content with your guides, looking forward for the next one.
@@ciclonable Working on a hour long coaching guide so I can spend less time coaching xD
In short, On-Hit AP in currently the way to go, until something happens with Hybrid items with a future patch and current AP builds get gutted.
sup, your thoughts on ipav?
Personality and environment wise, he is not someone I recommend taking seriously or learning from; I believe he is sick and tired of this game, just like the rest of us, but to the point where he is self-sabotaging himself with all of the really unconventional builds he has always gone with over the years since AD was obsolete after (Season 4-5 and a bit in 7)
Example: "I need Mana," hence Smite Top instead of just... managing his mana more effectively and not spamming (Q) all game with 0 mana sustain.
What do you think is the best build for an aggressive emerald rank player?
It really depends on yourself as a player, you got a 6.5-7.1 CS average? Good warding? Do you win lane often? How long games are, all these things factor in your ability to use specific playstyles.
Right now it's just burn playstyle and burst, snowball types of playstyles. Rune wise again is depended on your personality.
Scared? Fleet.
Aggressive? DH / PTA
Both? Aery, Fleet.

so i like tanks and i like teemo is there a way to make a viable tankmo?
It is feasible to play Tankmo, but do you want to win and do damage, or do you want to be a total meme, taking no damage and wandering aimlessly?
Players on TH-cam frequently use clickbait to troll, often backed up by their ranking. In truth, the builds are poor, and many believe that it will assist them climb when all you are doing is hiding behind a crutch that is making you play worse.
I'd loveto hear your thoughts on support teemo build order? Great guide regardless :)
What do you think is best build/runes for support teemo shroom setup? Playing in low masters
Would depend on who you play against / with. Never DH into healers an enchanter healers. Number 1 rule because stacking is a nightmare
Zizzaks support and the current burn build, as everyones playing.
But I can't say for sure what rune because well it's support and you're not going to be rich or high level. Games not going to hit 50 minutes.
Playing for early snowball or heavy poke is what I would do with current meta.

@@Pawkt I see your mobafire now. Looks like you're rolling with comet for sup
@@dip9995There are 2 sets in the numbers. Comet is just comsistent damage, not nuclear.
@@Pawkt Couple more questions:
Why?
Ingenious hunter does work? I tried it with stormsurge and the cd didnt change was i just being stupid or maybe a bug?
You sure it was stacked up? If you're doing it in practice tool the setting for it is at the bottom of the page, alternatively you need to kill every players if you're in a normal game.
Try ARAM first, you can stack those Hunter runes much quicker to see the effect. Fully stacked Ingenious Hunter reduces Stormsurge to like 20s. It also reduce charge timer of Luden's Companion. The rune gives huge benefit if you go for those two items.
So I am a lowly bronze player. I enjoy playing teemo mid with hail of blades for early game pressure and shroom build. Do give it a try 😊
Mid cus I can roam more.

Recent guides some things are outdated.
Seems like Electrocute would be better than dark harvest for a Jungle Teemo.
It depends on yourself as a player. Dark Harvest can be used, if you understand the basic idea of a clear, tracking, are constantly rotating for farm -> gank or Farm -> Counter to get the stacks aways. Otherwise, yeah you won't get much out of the rune, it's why I normally play something else.

stop telling people to play ad teemo i lose every game i play with a ad teemo on my team stop ruining teemo!!!
I mean, it's been a full season since a (HYBRID) (NOT AD) build was viable, and it was one of his greatest builds matching AP.
I'm 100% not responsible for other people's stupidity, and if they're running full AD, it's because of Manc0 promoting it or Ipav. Most games that are lost are usually due to peoples arrogance and negative attitude, which is saying it's probably your own fault as well.

guinsoo>kràken
btw they nerf teemo adaptative runes, meaning, doran blade start is troll RN, the way to play teemo top imo is to buy 20 to 45 àp then 20 to 35 attack speed, he needs then move speed flat ànd perhaps -1. hit effect -2. mànà item -3. more move speed or hp depend of the lack stat of the game (mànà stand for no tank in your team) (hit effect is for melee enemy comp) (move speed is for rànge ennemy , hp for 2 or more assassin in enemy team )
