Wess Meets West is a defiantly optimistic instrumental rock/metal band which began 10 years ago as the project of lead guitarist Sam Stauff. They originated as a singer-less outfit but over time have introduced sparse vocals to guide themes and boost the dynamic presence of certain songs. As they’ve evolved, Wess Meets West have incorporated electronic samples to brighten and expand texture and provide a denser backdrop upon which to shred, breakdown and groove. The result is a flood of constantly shifting melodies that are connected by fluid motifs. Check out the performance by Wess Meets West on Audiotree Live.

I bumped into this as they signed up with an UK record label called Hassle Records. I was literaly blown away the first time I heard them, immediatley ordered everything on iTunes and had two cd's shipped over to Belgium from bandcamp. this music really takes me places, as I went for a walk listening to the albums I had in my ears, came back after nearly three hours !! it just kept me going ... love it ! Hope they will tour one day in Europe!

Amazing, idk what else to say. They're just great. I wouldnt compare them to explosions in the sky. Wess meets West drummer pops out, gives them a different sound in this musical genre.
