And BTW Amintiri din copilărie is a book by Ion Creanga, that's where the phrase comes from. It's a book that every child will study in the first years of school so it's super well known. You could try to read it but it's gonna have archaisms and regionalisms so it would be a bit trickier.
And what were you guys measuring with that electronic device? Just curious.

Creanga and Eminescu likely have a huge impact in shaping Romanians, you can try to read some of their work at some point. Eminescu at least Scrisoarea III and Luceafarul.
And ok, thanks for the answer. I think nowadays there are some camera traps with solar cells, no need to always go to replace the batteries with those.
You know, to protect the medium we need to increase efficiency of human activity in this regard as all human activity has a negative impact. And one would think it's about science and technology developing cleaner ways but it's not, it's about money. In capitalism, corporations are gonna do whatever has lower costs and regulations only forbid the most toxic behaviors. So all human activity should have a cost (tax) for impact on the environment, a regulator assesses the impact and economic agents have to pay, for any and all activity. Ofc politicians are never gonna implement such rules as corporations have too much power. And on top of that, likely there is no sufficient data to assess the impact. I suppose carbon offsets are a very limited and very imperfect such system but much narrower. Anyway, the point would be to increase costs in line with the negative impact, practically making cleaner solutions more viable. Sorry for going all serious on Sunday evening.
