    My Favorite sound was the neck pickup of both guitars. What do you think? Did the Tremonti Les Paul?

    Thanks for the video. The problem with the les Paul’s I’ve had is qc vs prs qc prs always wins ..that prs is stunning

    Just for the quality control alone I would go PRS anyday.. If you dont the tone of the PRS, you really just dont like the pickups..

    The PRS is a Les Paul with all the Les Paul design flaws fixed. That angled baseball bat neck with a jacked up knife edge saddle binding the strings to the tailpiece and the string binding tuning peg angles. A tuning nightmare. PRS fixed the things Gibson can't.

    For me: 1. PRS 2. Gibson 3. PRS. Crazy to hear that comparison I swore the Les Paul was going to win.

      You just like Curtis more than me! 😂. Actually, I love that PRS. I really hope Curtis falls on hard times and is forced to sell it back to me.

    Great video. Good commentary, delivery, and fantastic playing/riffs, but the title should be changed fellas. The title is a bit misleading as the PRS didn't have stock pickups. An import factor with a Tremonti more so than others. Obviously you told us, but the title. Just a critique to consider. I want a tab for the 2nd and 3rd riffs. Especially the 3rd...

    I think the Tremonti lives in the same neighborhood, but on a different street.

  • @mrblue4897

    Yea but not stock pickups in prs so and stock in Gibson so killed the test right off bat how bout a stock prs and stock lester no pickup swap FACTORY

    • @Matt_McQueen

      Really? I dunno, I think the stock PRS pickups kinda suck.

    Did you adjust the tone and volume knob on the neck position? You can get very close to the Les Paul neck sound by adjusting these lower.

    comparing a prs tremonti without its pickups? what a load of shit - there is no comparison between PRS and Gibson with the PRS being the superior guitar, we now know why you have not used a REAL PRS.

    • @Matt_McQueen
      @Matt_McQueen  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Honestly, I hate PRS pickups. The Suhr Thornbuckers sounded so much better to me than the stock PRS pickups.

      @@Matt_McQueen The Tremonti neck pickup is a piece of s**t but the bridge is an amazing pickup for higher gain stuff which rolls off nicely too.

      I have 2 tremonti prs with his signature pickups. They both absolutely rock. It’s not for emg lovers or the mid gain lovers

    • @Matt_McQueen
      @Matt_McQueen  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Also, Tony, it’s definitely a REAL PRS. It’s a 2012 Core, was $3500. Don’t know what to tell ya bub, can believe the pickups are that important that you’d call my video a load of shit. Have a good one dude.

    • @tonyodonnell7189

      @@Matt_McQueen I own a core prs Tremonti and if I was going to make a comparison with a Gibson then I would use the stock Tremonti pick ups OTHERWISE its not an Original PRS and certainly not a CORE... Termonti pickups are €250 each. I called it shit because you said you were comparing a PRS which obviously was not the case Bub.

    Wow, the PRS sounded a little brighter. It Pauled. But how are the clean tones?

    • @10INCHCRUSHER
      @10INCHCRUSHER 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Hulk Hogan The only thing, and the reason why I will always stay Les Paul is because nothing growls, howls and cries the way a Les Paul does. They cover the low end and low mid. But from middle to high, it's all about the Tele, IMHO. I'd say the Strat, but I'm not cool enough to play one of those things.

    • @10INCHCRUSHER
      @10INCHCRUSHER 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Hulk Hogan Strats just aren't for me. If I get one that I can play and not tweak knobs every 2 minutes, it'll be a total accident find. I gotta be honest, I have the Deluxe Teles, 2006 when they called them the 72 reissue and a 2021 that they now call the Vintera. To me those things sound great. That maple neck, cuts the twang, but gives it a nice tone. Check those things out. The neck humbucker is amazing. The Bridge is pretty amazing. But middle position is really gnarly sounding. You should check one of those out. The only complaint is that they don't put locking tuners on them.

    • @10INCHCRUSHER
      @10INCHCRUSHER 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Hulk Hogan Check out Ibanez for the arch top, those things are pretty sweet.

    • @10INCHCRUSHER
      @10INCHCRUSHER 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Hulk Hogan Oh you will. I'm 51, I'm all bout just finding a guitar to just plug in to an amp and just go. The ones I ran from are now the ones I really embrace. Hell I love nylon string guitars don't even have a steel 6 string, but got two 12 strings. The way prices are going, If I decide to aquire another guitar, I'm building it, It's about the same price now, more or less.

    • @10INCHCRUSHER
      @10INCHCRUSHER 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Hulk Hogan That's dope you can do that on a strat. To me, Strats are crazy. To play it and it sounds like a strat. ok. but some who can pick that thing up and not make it sound like a strat ? I cant do that shit. Those things are Gnarly.
