You realize that all these maps are not real, right? They are combat simulations. Prophet hacks the simulation to glitch. Reaper messes with the other participant's DNI's so that it looks like there are multiples of EWR in their simulations. BO3 is the first game to have named multiplayer characters i.e. the specialists. They aren't expendable soldiers like in the other games- they are unique soldiers and mercenaries that are training in war simulations. Infection is malfunctioning, making the map fold (see the campaign).
Well, some (or all) may be based off of real places. In campaign, you pass through the swampy area in one of the first missions, and while you're on the air boat thing, you pass the ferris wheel mentioned in the video. I'm pretty sure it's the same one, because they look incredibly similar, and how the area outside of the three maps it's on look swampy.
I think treyarch wants some of the youtubers to make more videos to sponsor bo3 and the best way to do it is to put easter eggs and myths into the game because players are fascinated by those things. I might be wrong but that is my theory ;-)

the picture was seen in black ops 2 campaign in mission Odysseus. after Salazar open the door of the first room there is a door in the right, and you can open it. in there you see something that says, " hold x to pick up feelings." in that room of that door, you can see the exact same picture, which after got updated turned into the mother. It may be David Masons wife or wife and daughter.

The reason that the D.E.A.D cannons are there is likely due to the fact that it is in campaign, just like the hazmat suits, they are probably not a nod to Breaking Bad it's likely just because in the campaign Singapore is walled of from the rest of the world because the coalescence facility has a meltdown and there is a contagious disease so it's expected to have hazmat suits. I don't think the maps are connected some of the Easter eggs could just be solo Easter eggs like how the elevator might be referencing the elevator in mw2 (which I forgot to mention that the reason the elevators both do the same thing is likely because of animations being reused.) I don't think that your theory of the maps being connected is wrong this is just the way I saw it.
Well map developers aren't going to create separate models for each detail for every map. They are going to use the same object models for unimportant detail.
