Must be in D.C. -- Never thought I'd hear of the Childe Harolde again! Besides Emmylou playing there, so did Liz Meyer & Wild Honey. I think Liz moved to Holland & had greater country success there. (And, maybe, passed away?) If anyone knows, drop a note here! Good one, Rodney!
Thanks Victor. First...duh...of course it's Sam on one of the fiddles. Don't know how I missed that during my first viewing 2 yrs ago! In any event, him and Sarah play some real nice, tasteful twin fiddles on this. And now watching it again, Buddy Miller might, in fact, be playing a Danelectro bass as opposed to a baritone. But regardless of all this - a great performance by Rodney & the band. A wonderful feel and delivery.
A great songwriter, not given the recognition he deserves.
Country hard as a stone.
What a voice ! A blast from the past , with Rodney no matter what he sings it's a high bar ......always loved his songs
This was and is a George Jones song.
Let’s not forget this song was written by Gram Parsons@@VernaCunningham-sz9uz

George didn't write the song, he just sang it.
Pretty sure no one said he wrote it, George Jones had a hit with it and even you can't deny that 🙄

The Possum’s version is my favorite!
You’re still on my Mind. Written and sung originally in 1959 by Jeff Daniels.
Great song and well done.

The Byrds recorded it on the 1968 album "Sweetheart Of The Rodeo".
Absolutely - and also a great rendition by them.
Killer shuffle groove right there
Crowell never got the “Big” Deal he deserved.
Rythm section sounds great.
🙏🏻
That's country music
Great! Yeah, Buddy Miller playing a Danelectro baritone, I think. Didn't catch the steel man and, yeah, who are on fiddles?
Greg Leisz on steel
Sarah Watkins and the great Sam Bush on fiddles

Is Rodney playing a Gretsch Jim Dandy parlor guitar?
Shorty Lavender on fiddle and Buddy Emmons on steel.
Who is the drummer
Who is the girl on fiddle and singing harmony
Sarah Watkins (Nickel Creek, I'm With Her...)
I do care just don't know how to show it yet but I'll try if you let me.
Is that Bruce Bouton on steel?
Greg Leisz on Steel Guitar
George Jones did it BEST!!!!!
