Timothee is doing a great job, but I must say that Javier Bardem is carrying with his depiction of Stilgar.

Bardem's first role in English was as a scary mob boss in Collateral. Few would recognize him, but the trademark accent is there.

Javier absolutely killed it in Dune part 2. Oscar worthy support role in my opinion. Can't wait to see more of his work. He was terrifying in No Country For Old Men. But he shows a completely different side in Dune. Amazing actor!
The best psychopath role I have ever seen was played by him. Just a really outstanding performance he did in No Country For Old Men.
Javier nailed his role in Dune part one. Nailed it. Been a long time since I was excited to see a film . Long time. Great job to all the cast. The film will stand long after we are all gone. It is the star wars of the new millennium. Just as star wars is to 1977, Dune is at that level for 2024.
This man is such a delight, relieving and liberating to listen to, simply lures with his simplicity, honesty and amusing stories even if they are about the most irrelevant things. Literally I could talk to him for three days without stopping and it wouldn't be enough ❤

A brilliant actor and hubba hubba!!
The accent he does for Stilgar on its face appears almost like a generic, 'tribal brown person' accent, but it's actually genius the more I listen, consider how Frank Herbert imagined world languages and cultures to converge, and how the actor produced that to a tee. Stilgar's voice is somewhere between Russian, Arabic, Israeli, and all the cultures in-between... I cannot place his accent; I assume it would belong somewhere in Uzbekistan as a median point. I can now imitate this accent, which I didn't think I could at first, but it's just genius.
Love his accent man is lucky to be married to Penelope Cruz too
