This is such a well-collated video. Thank you so much, doctor. As a pregnant woman, I really really needed a new skincare routine as my face has suddenly started dulling. Can't thank you enough.
Best pregnant skin care by all dermatologist on TH-cam!! This helped me so much!!! Thank you so much! New subscriber and 12 weeks pregnant almost 13! ❤️☺️
Ive always struggled with acne but I was really betting on at least having a break while pregnant and getting that clear skin glow, but nope hasn't happened yet 😔 so I appreciate this a lot !!
THANK YOU! I've had so much anxiety about what I can and cannot put on my skin. I don't get to see my doctor until my 2nd trimester and I was worried I would do damage by then. This is great advice until I see her. The advice online is so confusing and contradicting to itself so this is a great start to setting a safe routine. Thank you again
Hey so I wanted to share that what I found reading the Neutrogena Rapid Tone Repair Vitamin C Serum Capsule ingredients and application, it says to use sunscreens that do not contain Titanium Dioxide. Look out for this because unfortunately the Australian Gold Botanical does have this ingredient. I was able to find a sunscreen that does not have it such as the Pacifica Brand as well as the Blue Lizard Australian Sunscreen.
I can't wait ❤️😊 if you have time Doctor Maren Locke, can you make skincare for babies or new born babies 👶🏻 what diaper should we used, how many times should we bathe them, something like that. Thank you so much and God bless 😊❤️
Thank you, thank you! I’ve been using this routine and loving it so far! Nothing has been irritating my skin and my skin feels so good. Again thank you! 💜
Yes I def will talk about dark spots very soon! I totally get it, kids are wildly expensive. When you watch this video, just watch for informational purposes and dont feel like you NEED all these things! My point with this video is to give a COMPLETE routine with all the things you may want/consider. But...maybe you take away just a tip here or there or one product that might be right for you. That's great! The idea is to get comfortable with what you can and cant do for your skin during pregnancy. But above all, show your skin some grace b/c being pregnant is HARD. You can always make up lost time for anti-aging etc. after the baby comes. :)
@@TheBudgetDermatologist Thank you,you are absolutely right. If I met you 5years ago and followed all your advises, I wouldn’t have this much dark spots by now. Out of my expectation, this video has so much to learn too . Your videos become my skincare textbook. Can’t wait for the children’s one 💐
Thank you for the product recommendations, my acne is under control. L’oreal glycolic acid cleansing gel and the Neutrogena vitamin C are the game changers. Cerave SA and other Cerave products caused breakout. Thanksssssss

What about a product like touch bright and clear cream 10% azelaic (also contains 5% niacinimade, 3% kojic acid, 3% tranexamic acid)? It's supposedly better for layering under makeup due to its texture.
Thanks for the video. It is great!!! Is there any alternative for glytone mild gel cleanser without salicylic acid? And also for vanicream cleanser, any alternative? hard to find them in Europe 😢
Tried already other serums break me out due to my combination skin, but this has not. Anti Acne Dermalmd Serum leaves my face feeling moisturized but not oily and shiny. I put my moisturizer on right after. Loving it so far.
Thank you for your suggestions. I bought all those products but I hate to return the La Roche-Posay Toleriane Double Repair Face Moisturizer because it leaves white flakes all over my face. I was at work and my coworkers told me I have something on my face, I ran to the bathroom and my face looks like the whole face skin was peeling off. Looks really bad.
Thoughts on gluconolactone, licorice root, and Butyloctyl Salicylate? I've heard mixed things about using products with these ingredients during pregnancy. But I noticed that some of the products you recommended contain these. Thank you!
Thank you so so much for this video!!!! I’m currently pregnant and looking for a skincare routine during this pregnancy and came across this one. So glad you did it step by step it helped me out so much to know which products to get for morning and night!!! Thank you 💜
Thanks for all the recommendations. My biggest question was with regard to niacinamide, My OBG said to stay away from this, which I was really sad about because I found it has worked really well for me but since becoming pregnant I have tried to stay away from it. Can you explain why it may be viewed as not pregnancy safe?
Thank you so much for this, I am buying so many of these products right now haha. SOOO helpful when there is so much contradictory info out there on the internet. Thank you for sharing your time and expertise with us!!
This is totally antidotal, but I’ve known 6 women who’ve suffered from “pregnancy mask” and now have children elementary school age yet can’t get did rod of the discoloration. What happens if it’s resistant to topical treatments and never fades on its own?
Thanks for the video! Very informative and professional as usual! I'm surprised you didn't include Q10 and peptides like Matrixil 3000. There're proven to stimulate collagen. Are they safe? How about licorice root? It's included in many Asian products for brightening
For my family, it's all we use. My little one has super sensitive skin and has used it since 8 months. It's the only one she hasn't gotten a sunburn with, same for me. We both have super fair skin and blue lizard is amazing!
so thrilled to find you and this particular video. my second pregnancy has wrecked havoc on my skin, particularly breakouts on my face causing texture issues. i miss my smooth skin. I already have a few of the products mentioned, and i’m ordering the ones i don’t have. i appreciate what you said about melasma as well. no matter how much sunscreen i slather on i always end up with pigmentation. but it always fades eventually. hopefully more moms and moms to be will find their way over to you. we need more genuine transparent videos like this one!!
I have issues with milia and have been told not to use oils on my skin, including for double cleansing. In the evening, I usually do a wash, then toner, then moisturizer. What’s your take on toners? Should I skip it? I use it to make sure all my makeup is off and to control oil. Additionally, my doctor advised me to stay away from glycolic acid, even though everything I’ve read says it’s safe during pregnancy. I’m bummed because I have small pores that clog easily, and before pregnancy found success using salicylic acid (which obviously I can’t use now). Any other “chemical exfoliants” I can try instead?
Hey, I do check your all videos and follow your instructions as you say... I have little acne prone skin so been 4 month’s, I am using Paula Choice BHA exfoliate after cleanser and followed with La Roche Vit C. As you now recommend not to use SA during pregnancy so I am wondering what exfoliator should I use after cleanser and before Vit C serum. And can you please recommend any cream or lotion to apply after pimple/acne burst so that it will heal quickly. Eagerly looking for your reply...
