    Let's clear the pricing of this flat for the foreign spectators: Currently, a mediocre flat in the Liman neighbourhood costs at least 800 usd/month. Yours is around 1000 usd/months. (So 220 is a bargain!) The prices might sound OK for a foreigner but for most of Antalians, it's unachievable. (Minimum wage per month is a little less than 300 dollars per month.) That's how Konyaaltı has become an only-foreigner area in Antalya, just like Lara. So exhaust smell for locals, sea view for foreigners...

    • @OlgaProGoingPlaces
      @OlgaProGoingPlaces  2 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      we talk about current prices at the end of the video. And yes, prices are way too high now even for foreigners. Landlords/agents are trying to cover for inflation and get as much money out of current situation as they can.

    • @TolgaKarlilar
      @TolgaKarlilar 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It depends on the foreigner though, whether these rent prices are cheap or not. If you come from a Western country, yes very affordable and not so much if you're Russian (outside Moscow), Ukrainian and other neighboring countries.

    • @billrosen4613
      @billrosen4613 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would not be surprised if your land lord raises your rent over 100% a year for the coming years due to turkey’s financial collapse. The law states they can’t raise the rent by a maximum of 25% but they are taking the honey badger effect they just don’t care. They are in survival mode. Good luck!

    Olga you was so lucky to rent apartment in Konyaalti district for such a normal price 👏 When I was came in Antalya at September 2022 we was rent apartment with 4 rooms in Dosemealti district for 7 thousand liras but after one month when mobilisation has started from Russia came a lot of migrants and prices was so highly raised and the owner of apartment asking to pay 11 thousand liras it’s around 600$ so we couldn’t stay and moved to Istanbul there was much more cheaper apartment rent than in Antalya

    My rent in Kadikoy (the Asian side of Istanbul) was 4,000 lira last year (about $220). It has now shot up to 7,500 lira ($400). It's two bedrooms and is completely furnished, so I cannot complain.

      It´s because of the war and the plandemic same here in Europe.
      I payed 2 years ago 600 Euro for 60m2 and now i pay 850-900 with the high energy prices.
      But my salary doesn´t go up it stays the same.
      If it goes more up sooner or later im doomed and i dont know how the other people survive.
      I work as a Teacher and my salary is around 2.2k
      My car eats 400 bucks. 100 Euro only for the garage without you can´t park anyhwere.
      Almost 1,4k every month goes for my car and apartment internet phone and other stuff which you need for today´s lifestyle.
      Yeah 400-500 euro for food in a month because its expensive.
      Imagine one bound of asparagus cost 8 euro xDDD
      or one broccoli costs 3 euro, 1 litre of cooking oil costs 7 euro.
      I can´t save my money maybe 100 euro a month its so sad man.
      Im going to my 30 years have a wife and can´t afford to make a child because if i want a bigger apartment i need more salary.
      Apartments with 90m2 with 3 rooms so for one CHILD costs 1200 euro and above.
      I can only LAUGH about this because i have no tears left to cry.
      And still people say EUROPE IS BEST PLACE TO LIFE =,D

    Thanks again for the excellent tour and insights! Would you say that it would be possible to rent something comparable to your place today for $550 USD/Euro? I was just talking to a retired American who left DaNang in Vietnam during the pandemic and has been in Antalya and Tbilisi for almost two years, and he just went back to VN because his lease ended and he was having trouble finding anything that was comfortable in Tbilisi for less than $800usd/mo, and he was having trouble finding apartments in Antalya for under $600/mo., and I was wondering if that's likely the case or he was being quoted higher prices than actual?

      @@OlgaProGoingPlaces Thanks Olga. A couple of weeks ago I was on Google Maps - Street view Looking at areas in Antalya and what looks like the area you just shared seemed, and it seemed like one of more attractive ares.
      In google Street View I took some screen shots of for rent signs, and tried to call three agents. One agent was helpful but prices were more like booking an Air B&B by the month, and I was thinking if you and Rene have not considered doing some sort of booking service or website it might be something worth giving serious consideration to.
      Before the Pandemic, I was working on something an online accommodation and resource concept with a friend who has been an online travel developer for airlines and social media, for S.E. Asia and Australia, but I put the project on hold during the pandemic. If you might be interested I would be willing to share what we had in mind, as it might be something with your online presence could fit your part of the world and be developed on a small budget.
