That looked like a good day out. Lovely to see young Harry's interested in the older tractors and he seems very knowledgeable. Most youngsters seem to only want the newer fancy pieces of kit

BMC tractor was later branded a Leyland167 , it had a taxi diesel engine, we used one for twenty years to stir slurry in cattle slats with stirrer , light weight surprisingly strong. We sold it to market gardener .

Love seeing those English Fordsons. My Grandad has restored 10 or so American Fordsons from the '20s and '30s.

I think the 4wd Dexta had a landrover axle on the front, IIRC the conversion was done by a welsh engineers, ideal for the hill farmers.

The little BMC mini tractor became the Nuffield 4/25 and then the Leyland 154. It looked like a Ferguson as Harry Ferguson was involved in its design.

The 690 4wd had the same Italian cab as your 690, but it really depended if a tractor was kept inside or left outside as to how they survived.

Blymy there's a trip down memory lane there I've driven a few of the old ones in my time
Fergie 135 was first tractor I drove
    Grey fergie scraper tractor
    Fergie 240
    Ford 4000 and 4600
Biggest tractor I ever drove was one hell of a beast fergie 1200 I took it home for lunch lol as there was no other tractor available which was fun in the narrow lanes of Chewton Mendip

Tractor auction. That sounds fun. A lot of tractors there from my era of farming. We had a Leyland tractor on one farm I worked at. Typical Leyland. Not the most reliable. The Marshals were about the same era from memory. Didn't see a Muirhill. They were great tractors. I did have a small tractor up until about two weeks ago. Just sold it. Such useful vehicles if you have all the attachments.

Hi, and thanks for all of your fantastic video's. I have been a faithful follower of your channel since virtually the very beginning. I think I have pointed this out to you some time ago, but there seems to be a problem with the video rendering again lately. When I pause the video to look at more details of a tractor (or other equipment) the picture goes all blurry. Usually that's the result of rendering (or recording) video in 'interlaced' mode. That mixes two video frames together to make it appear more smooth when playing back. But pausing it is a disaster! For TH-cam, the progressive mode (25p or 50p) would be far better and result in a 'steady and clear' picture when paused. I sincerely hope you'll look into this again, as there is always so much to see in your videos. I would be very grateful.
    Keep up the good work!
    Best wishes,
    John

Dear Tractor companies why don’t most of you find an old lorry Frame or even rebuild a brand New Lorry Frame for building stronger and better Tractors and put those Scania N113, Volvo B10M, Volvo D10A, Volvo TD102KF, Gardner 6LXC and Gardner 8LXB Diesel engines and put on all of those Leyland Hydra cyclic Automatic 4 and 5 Speed Gearboxes for those stronger better Tractors so they can still use them for any farms and even use them for the Mechanics so they can even lift a broken down Bigger Buses and also lift all of the broken down Lorries, why don’t you build 6 and 7 seats so that other passengers can sit at the back and front including the driver. You can still build those four small stronger medium sizes wheels and still make them even more useful for the Mechanic farm tractor than it still was before, please can you do those interesting ideas for us tractor Lovers.
